One-Eyed Monster-Chapter 515 - 512: Wizard Reed’s Real Counterattack (Part 1)
On Guru Mountain, at Moonflow Stream.
Wizard Reed's desperate, all-out attack had still yielded significant results.
Whether lurking or fighting, the guardians of Guru Mountain were all rushing towards this stream.
I feel so many different Spirit Powers, all attacking me from various directions, Wizard Reed thought. The owners of these Spirit Powers seem very anxious, as if they all want to know what's happening here. It was only the release of the Power of Darkness. These people are being far too reckless; their rushing here plays right into my hands. It's time to face them.
Wizard Reed no longer planned to hide his identity from these people. He hadn't fully revealed himself, but he was disgusted by the enemy's countermeasures. He hated deception, and the enemy kept luring him into traps.
The mimicry of the Fossil Key's Spirit Power was too perfect, he mused. It made me invest most of my energy in this place. And now these people finally show their true colors! The real Fossil Key, the legendary Great Mentor Guzan, has been in Moonflow Stream all along! He never left! Otherwise, why would these people be hurrying back here so anxiously? Great Mentor Guzan hasn't moved from Moonflow Stream. How did he manage to hide his aura and Spirit Power so completely?
These people really went to extremes to deceive me. At first, the fake Great Mentor was here, along with the real one. Later, while I was busy with my Snowman Clones, those scoundrels slipped away one by one, luring away some of my Spiritual Clones. Yet, the fake Great Mentor methodically stayed put, deceiving me for so long. No, these people are incredibly patient. The real Guzan and the fake one were both here. How could they have been so sure I would chase the escaping fake Great Mentor? Looking back now, these people are truly cunning; they fooled me completely. If I hadn't discovered it sooner, I might have genuinely been led into a ditch by them. Luckily, I realized my mistake in time. If I hadn't coughed up blood in a fit of rage during that spell, I might never have realized this whole situation was their trap! Whether it was the Time Controller or the Alchemist with those magical dance steps, they were all trying to lead me into remote corners… Now, I won't be deceived again.
It truly proves that old saying: if you remain steadfast, the enemy can't make their play. If I remain still, the enemy won't act rashly. If I keep following others and moving, I'll likely be led astray. It's like I wasn't lame to begin with, but by walking with a lame person, I started limping too… But none of that matters now. I've dragged these people back with a simple feint.
He released one-third of his power, enveloping the entire Moonflow Stream. The spread of this Dark Force was clearly deliberate, and the darkness also served to intimidate his adversaries. He was obviously telling them that his attack was purposeful; if they didn't come, he would raze this place to the ground.
However, the adversaries' reaction puzzled Wizard Reed.
Under normal circumstances, Great Mentor Guzan, this legendary Alchemist, shouldn't have caused such panic among them, even if he were alone here. After all, Great Mentor Guzan himself is an incredible Adventurer with a Class, possessing indisputable power. His name is renowned across the continent; he should be able to handle this level of attack easily. I know my own strength. Guzan should be capable of resisting me. Yet Guzan has been hiding all this time, not even revealing his Spirit Power. Faced with my attack, those guardians of his are all panicking and rushing here, slowly appearing in my sight. This is unusual. It suggests there's a problem. It's highly likely that this legendary Great Mentor has lost his original combat capabilities. As for why, no one knows. It's rumored the great upheaval in the Alchemy Workshop was the result of his battle with his disciple, Kuyi Tulan.
Although Wizard Reed had an ambiguous relationship with Kuyi Tulan, Kuyi Tulan had always remained silent on the matter, and Reed had never pressed, since back then, the Great Mentor meant nothing to him.
Who would have thought I'd be striking at the Great Mentor today?
Whether they were the guardians of this mountain or those from the Alchemy Workshop, everyone was now heading towards Moonflow Stream. They all seemed to have sensed his Power of Darkness.
Since they're willing to act as the vanguard, then let them come. Let them taste the true power of darkness.
Wizard Reed practiced Necromancy, and all his spells had intricate connections with the Eternal Tranquility Realm. Through a pact, he kept the Malice Spirit Entities by his side. He didn't keep these Malice Spirit Entities merely to extract their malice; he also intended for them to fight for him. With the pact in hand, combined with his Dark Arts, transforming these Malice Spirit Entities into elite Fighters was a piece of cake. The Snowmen, which were once his clones, were created on a similar principle to the Fighters transformed from Malice Spirit Entities.
The monsters and Alchemists appearing in Moonflow Stream had no idea what they were about to face. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Arnold had previously been entangled in the Timeline with a tricky adversary, but that opponent had since withdrawn. Detecting the enemy's power manifesting in Moonflow Stream, he hastily cleared the battlefield and immediately prepared for the next engagement.
However, when he saw his opponent, he was completely stunned. This opponent was all too familiar—it was an exact replica of himself. Any trap he laid would be useless against this foe…
Wizard Reed called this identical opponent of Arnold's the Time Reflector.
My Snowman Clones may have long since become disoriented in Arnold's world, Wizard Reed thought, but I tirelessly continued to send them in to engage with him. My purpose was to identify Arnold's traits and replicate them. Once my clone has fully mastered Arnold's outward characteristics, then, within the Timeline, I can launch a powerful counterattack. The essence of this counterattack is mimicry. When I can imitate Arnold perfectly, his own Timeline will naturally descend into chaos…
