Oh No, Daddy Sent Me To The Beast World!-Chapter 28: I am scolding you, why are you smiling?
It was like watching a tiny milk rat stand on two feet and squeak angrily at a giant lion for not taking care of himself.
How could anyone be afraid?
Forget being afraid, the more one looked, the more one wanted to pull her into their arms and rub her head.
Even Feng Yiren, who had been standing behind with a face full of jealousy, had to admit this in his heart.
Feng Yiren crossed his arms and leaned lazily to one side, but his red eyes kept staring at Lin Huahua.
His ears had already tilted forward without him noticing.
His tail, if it had been out, would probably have lashed once or twice in jealousy by now. Thankfully he had it gone the whole day.
He had just carried her all the way back, and not even a full blink later, this lion had stolen all her attention with nothing but a few hand signs and a soft face.
What kind of shameless method was this?
Feng Yiren was very displeased, because Lin Huahua for some reason was always scolding him and even threatening to hit him all the time.
How come, since she suddenly changed she had never even raised her voice at the other two once. She even hugged Mu Qingyi earlier today, but not him?
Humph, heartless female!
Feng Yiren tried his best to swallow the bitter and jealous though in his heart. Besides he was a prince from one of the greatest fox clans in their beast world.
He had nothing to worry about, all he had to do was try seducing Lin Huahua and then she would realize how much of importance he was and how rare he was too.
Feng Yiren glared at Hu Baiyu with jealouy, but even so, he did not interrupt.
He only clicked his tongue inside and watched with narrowed eyes, like a fox lying in the grass and glaring at another beast that had wandered too close to his food.
Meanwhile, Hu Baiyu kept looking at Lin Huahua. He felt that his little Huahua had changed so much. In the past he remembered how much she had always neglected him. But now she was actually so attentive and worried about him too.
How could he not be happy about this sudden change, even though he felt like it wouldn’t last. He decided to cherish the moment for as long as it lasted.
The more she scolded, the gentler his eyes became.
Then, to Lin Huahua’s great disbelief, a faint blush slowly appeared on his handsome face.
Lin Huahua stopped in the middle of her lecture.
Her brows jumped.
Wait.
Why was he blushing?
Not only was he blushing, but that little smile on his face had become even clearer.
His white lashes lowered a little. He looked like he was trying to stay calm, but the happiness in his eyes was so obvious that even a blind person could probably feel it.
Lin Huahua was stunned.
She stared at him.
Hu Baiyu looked back at her, quiet and happy.
Lin Huahua’s lips parted.
Then she pointed at him in disbelief.
"I am scolding you," she said, her voice full of confusion. "Why are you smiling?"
Hu Baiyu’s shoulders moved slightly.
He looked as if he was holding back laughter.
That made Lin Huahua even more shocked.
This lion!
What was wrong with him?
She had worked so hard to gather her seriousness. She had even been using her strict tone. Why was he looking at her like she was doing something adorable instead of something scary?
Lin Huahua’s face immediately turned red with embarrassment.
It was not the shy kind this time.
It was the kind of red that came from feeling that one had been very serious, only to realize other people were not receiving the message correctly at all.
"I am serious," she said again, this time even more firmly.
Her little face tightened.
Her round eyes tried very hard to look sharp.
Unfortunately, the result was still the same.
To the males watching, she did not look more frightening.
She only looked like an even cuter little rat who was trying extra hard to defend her dignity.
At this moment, the hide curtain at the entrance was pushed aside.
Mu Qingyi stepped out.
Unlike Feng Yiren, who always looked like he had ten shameless thoughts in his head, Mu Qingyi gave people a calm feeling the moment he appeared. He had a gentle face, clean features, and a quiet kind of handsomeness that made people feel at ease.
Because he was a stag beastman, his movements were naturally light and careful. Even the way he came out from behind the curtain felt smooth, like he did not want to startle anyone.
The moment he saw Lin Huahua, his eyes softened with real happiness.
That happiness was not fake at all.
It was the kind that came from seeing someone return safely after being out for many hours.
"You’re back," Mu Qingyi said warmly. "I have already cleaned everything and prepared things for you."
Under normal circumstances, Lin Huahua would definitely have turned to look proudly and ask what he had prepared.
Maybe food. Maybe water. Maybe bedding.
Maybe all of it.
But right now she was still stuck on one important matter.
She was trying to scold Hu Baiyu seriously.
And somehow, instead of feeling guilty, the lion was sitting there blushing and smiling at her like her lecture was sweet talk.
This was not right at all.
This was completely wrong.
So Lin Huahua did not care about the cleaned house or the prepared things for the moment.
She immediately turned toward Mu Qingyi, put both hands on her hips, then lifted her head and stared at his tall figure.
Her expression was very serious.
At least she thought it was.
"I told you to watch over him," Lin Huahua said, pointing at Hu Baiyu with a small accusing finger. "Why did you not watch over him?"
Mu Qingyi looked at her.
Then he blinked once, clearly confused.
And the scene paused right there.
