Chapter 128: Another Beauty

They hadn’t taken more than a dozen steps from the spring before Rinni started walking like her knees had been hexed.

"Uuhhh... m-my legs," she whimpered, wobbling on every step. "I think something snapped. Like, inside me."

Allen, trailing behind her with his shirt undone and a goofy grin on his face, just smirked. "You say that like you didn’t squirt hard enough to wash my face."

"I should’ve squirted in your eye," Rinni hissed, cheeks aflame.

"Honestly? Would’ve taken it like a champ," he shrugged.

Fina snorted loud enough to scare a beetle off a tree trunk. "You two are unbelievable. I swear, one more round and we’d need a resurrection spell for her cooch."

Rinni glared at both of them as she walked, but couldn’t keep her thighs from twitching. Her inner fur was still sticky, and she had already tried wiping it down with that little cloth about four times. Nothing helped.

And of course, Fina had to notice.

"Oop—still leaking, bunny butt," she said with mock innocence. "Want me to plug it for you?"

Rinni squeaked in horror. "W-why are you like this?!"

"I learned it from watching you," Fina giggled.

They walked on beneath the trees, the humid jungle air thick with the buzz of bugs and distant croaks. The jungle felt heavier somehow—maybe because Allen still hadn’t tucked himself away properly. His bulge bobbed with every step, unconcerned and slightly proud.

Eventually, the familiar warm glow of the turtle village drifted into view: swinging lanterns hung from the trees, and the faint splash of waves lapped against stone channels winding between the huts. The soft scent of brine and moss tickled Allen’s nose as they neared the first coral archway.

A small turtle girl peeked out from a shell-decorated doorway, blinking sleepily.

"Oh," she murmured. "You’ve returned."

Fina waved. "No need to worry, Allen just got trapped in a hole."

The girl blinked. "A cave?"

Fina grinned. "Not quite."

Allen waggled his eyebrows. "It moaned back."

Rinni made a strangled noise and started speed-walking. "PLEASE stop talking. I am going to combust."

Fina threw an arm around her. "Aww, come on, Rinni. You were squealing like a flute out there. What’s a little public walk of pride?"

Rinni’s ears twitched. "I swear I will bite you."

They were nearly to the elder hut when Fina suddenly stopped and pointed.

"Oh. She’s home."

Allen followed her gaze. There, half-hidden behind a veil of seaweed strands, was a rounded stone hut built against a small canal that led directly into the ocean. The water glistened like melted sapphire in the moonlight, rippling with soft movement.

A familiar figure stood in the doorway—Elder Zuna, her wizened face calm, her turtle shell dulled by age. She was no longer the youthful, buxom temptress from earlier. Whatever effect the rajanuvasion fruit had granted her had long since faded, and her body had returned to its naturally aged form.

But beside her—whoa.

A breathtaking mermaid lounged just inside the doorway. Her seafoam-green hair draped over bare, glistening breasts, and her shimmering blue tail curled around a polished coral stool. Her eyes were luminous like twin pearls, and her lips curled in amused curiosity as she watched them approach.

"Oh great," Allen muttered. "You didn’t tell me we were walking into a Jisney princess crossover."

Fina tilted her head. "Jis...ney?"

"Never mind."

Elder Zuna gave a slow nod as they reached the entrance.

"You return late," she said, voice rasping like wind through reeds. "The canal whispered of your footsteps."

Allen raised an eyebrow. "Canals talk here too? Man, this world is nosier than my grandma’s apartment complex."

Zuna ignored him completely and turned to Fina. "The fruit’s blessing has faded. My shell is old again."

Fina stepped forward, eyes narrowing slightly. "And the sea-girl?"

"I came to visit," the mermaid said, her voice smooth and musical. "Zuna is beloved among us. She helped deliver my sister’s spawn under a red moon."

Allen blinked. "...Okay, I’m like eighty percent turned on and twenty percent horrified."

The mermaid tilted her head, smiling. "Your tongue speaks oddly."

"Yeah," Fina sighed. "He does that. We just pretend it’s normal."

Rinni peeked out from behind Allen, trying to hide behind his broad back like a scared bunny child. "I-is the meeting over? Can we go to bed now?"

Zuna looked Rinni up and down, her gaze lingering on the trembling thighs and flushed cheeks.

"You carry the scent of storm and lightning," she said calmly. "And your knees are weak."

Rinni squealed and ran into the dark without another word.

"Anyway," Allen said, cracking his neck. "We here to talk or...?"

Zuna stepped aside. "Come in. There is something to show you. And something I must ask of you."

Allen glanced at the mermaid, who looked far too entertained by everything.

"I’m not getting roped into a summoning ritual again, am I? Last time I ended up naked and covered in squid ink."

Zuna gave a small smile. "No squid. Only truth."

Allen sighed. "Great. That’s even worse."

The inside of Zuna’s hut was cool and damp, the air tinged with brine and something richer—like crushed pearls and old incense. Bioluminescent moss glowed along the curved walls, casting everything in soft green light. The canal flowed through one side of the hut like an indoor stream, sloshing quietly beneath a series of polished stones. The mermaid slithered into the shallow water with a practiced flick of her tail, reclining lazily with her arms folded beneath her chin.

Zuna moved with slow dignity, her feet bare, the grooves in her shell catching the light as she fetched something from a moss-draped alcove.

"You see, young ones," she began, "the ocean remembers."

Allen sat cross-legged on a woven mat, his dick finally tucked away (with great reluctance), while Fina perched beside him, elbow on his shoulder, tail lazily swishing behind her. She sniffed the air. "Smells like old secrets in here."

Zuna returned, holding a stone tablet etched with swirling grooves and a shimmering iridescent crust. It pulsed faintly as she set it in the center of the floor.

"The mermaids have been vanishing," she said. "Taken, lured, or consumed. We do not know. But the ocean spoke of a dark current... one drawn to blood and power."

Fina sat up straighter. "You think it’s a demon?"

The mermaid in the canal flicked her tail, sending little waves lapping at the stone.

"We fear something older," she said. "It wears no form, yet hungers. And it leaves behind only silence."

Allen leaned in, brows furrowed. "Okay, cool horror story. But what’s that got to do with me? I’m not exactly your friendly neighborhood sea exorcist."

Zuna looked at him with calm certainty. "You carry a scent of rupture. You open paths not meant to open. The sea smells it on you."

Allen blinked. "...I am once again begging this world to stop sniffing me."

The mermaid giggled, a sound like water over smooth stones. "He speaks strangely. I like it."

Zuna crouched by the stone tablet. "You are not from this land. That makes you unpredictable. A knife not yet dulled by knowing. I wish to send you... to the Abyss Cradle."

Fina’s ears twitched. "That’s not on any map."

Zuna nodded. "It is not above the sea."

Allen groaned. "Of course. Of course it’s underwater. You guys just looked at me and said ’yep, he seems like a swimmer.’"

The mermaid swam closer, arms on the stone lip of the canal. Her breasts bobbed above the water, and her silver eyes gleamed.

"You will not swim alone," she said. "I will guide you."

Allen’s mouth opened, but no sound came out for a second.

"...You? Like, personally?"

The mermaid tilted her head, smiling sweetly. "Do you fear the embrace of a siren?"

Fina immediately narrowed her eyes. "I know that look. That’s the look Rinni makes right before she crawls into Allen’s lap."

Allen held up his hands. "Let’s not judge the sexy sea woman until she’s actually gotten me killed, alright?"

Zuna waved a wrinkled hand. "You will not go now. The tide must be right. You will rest here. Eat. Dream. Then go."

The mermaid pushed herself higher, breasts resting on the stone edge now, close enough to distract Allen’s entire train of thought.

"Would you like to bathe?" she asked, her voice low and melodic. "The salt here softens the flesh."

Allen blinked. "If you mean do I wanna get naked with a hot fish girl, I mean—duh. Yes."

Fina rolled her eyes so hard it was a miracle they didn’t pop out. "Allen, for the love of the spirits, don’t stick it in the first shiny tail that wiggles."

"No promises."

The mermaid beckoned him with a curl of her fingers. "Come, strange-tongued man. The water is gentle."

Zuna spoke without turning. "She is called Lunari. She is sister to waves and daughters of foam. Treat her kindly, or the sea will close its mouth on you."

Allen was already pulling his shirt off. "Look, the sea can do what it wants, I’m just trying not to get a saltwater erection and drown."

Fina facepalmed so hard it echoed.

Lunari slid deeper into the water as Allen stepped in. It was warm, impossibly so, like being cradled by a liquid womb. Her fingers found his waist, guiding him down gently, and her face hovered close to his.

"You carry many scars," she murmured, trailing a finger along his chest. "And much heat."

Allen exhaled. "Yeah, that’s called trauma and horniness. I’m a full buffet."

She giggled again, nuzzling against his neck. "Will you give me a taste?"

Fina stood nearby with her arms crossed, watching like a jealous wolf.

"I swear, if you nut inside her without checking if mermaids can get pregnant—"

"Do I look like I’m about to go full ’mermen’ here?"

"Yes."

The scene hung there, heat rising, water lapping gently, Lunari’s fingers tracing slow, swirly patterns along Allen’s thighs, and Zuna returning to her alcove like she hadn’t just low-key arranged an ocean date.
