Novel's Extra: I Awakened The Strongest Physique From The Start-Chapter 249 - 250 - A New Challenge 2.
There were many names for the silver-haired boy.
Vaelith Noctis. A hero of olden times. The ruler of space. The Greedy Hero. And many more.
Vaelith was a hero in his past life—one of the few with a wonderful control over space element. But he lived for himself, unlike other heroes who lived to save others.
The god he served wasn’t actually averse to his thinking either since he was the hero of a destruction god, and the god he served didn’t care about anything as long as he caused destruction.
In his past life, Vaelith did all he wanted. No matter what kind of task it was, as long as it got him excited, he would do it.
He created an empire for himself to rule over. In that empire, his words were everything, but his desire didn’t diminish. He wanted more. He wanted the world.
That wish, however, later turned into the reason for his demise because he tried to conquer something he shouldn’t even have tried to go close to.
He had tried to take over Originveil Academy.
Vaelith had known that once he had the academy under control, the world would be a snap away.
However, he also knew that the academy, which had stayed the sole ruler of the world, wouldn’t be easy to conquer, so he gathered forces. He made a force consisting of all those who had harbored ill intentions toward Originveil.
Many in the world hated being ruled by Originveil after all.
That series of events, however, later led to an incident now called the Blood Bath of the New Beginning.
It was a bloodbath that happened on the fifth peak of Originveil City.
Everything, including the forces trying to bring down Originveil and Vaelith, had died because of a single being whose roars alone shook the onlookers’ very souls.
That incident, which was supposed to bring down the world’s ruling power, had turned into a stepping stone to further establishing its power.
The most shocking thing about that incident, however, was that the headmaster of the academy, also known as the strongest person in the world, never made a move during the whole ordeal.
It was as if they were showing the world that the academy wasn’t weak without them.
Soon after, the world returned to the way it used to be before, and everyone forgot the one who was responsible for that bloodbath.
The same guy reincarnated as an orphan about eighteen years ago and was sent an invitation to the academy, but he rejected it.
He didn’t care if that meant making Originveil his enemy. After being killed by them in his past life, he didn’t even consider mending their relationship.
His goal in this life was solely to bring down Originveil.
So, instead of going to Originveil, Vaelith decided to enter a low-ranking academy. He preferred being king of the weak rather than being in a crowd of the strong.
In the past eighteen years, he used everything he could to make himself as strong as he was in his prime, which he found impossible since the age of awakening mana was sixteen.
In the past two years, however, he had grown strong enough to confidently say that the people from the younger generation were no match for him.
Right now, in the Colosseum of Originveil Academy, he was proving that and making the people of Originveil recognize his strength.
.........................
The Colosseum buzzed with an unsettling energy as yet another student fell before Vaelith Noctis.
The silver-haired youth barely moved, his golden eyes gleaming with amusement as his latest opponent lay groaning on the stone floor. The audience erupted—not in cheers, but in a mixture of disbelief and growing unease.
"How is this happening?!" Someone in the stands shouted. "He’s just a student from some backwater academy! How is he crushing our warriors like this?!"
"This doesn’t make sense!" Another voice chimed in, frustration evident. "We’re the strongest academy in the world!"
Despite the outrage, the reality was undeniable.
One by one, fearless students of Originveil Academy had stepped forward, each convinced they could be the ones to bring him down, only to crumble before him in mere moments.
The crowd had initially cheered them on, but now, an eerie silence settled over parts of the audience as they watched the so-called "elite" of the world’s forces falling like autumn leaves.
The sound of flesh meeting stone echoed as another student was sent flying back, tumbling across the floor before skidding to a stop.

Vaelith exhaled through his nose, unimpressed, his gaze focused on the crowd.
"I was a bit concerned when he said I would die the moment I lost," he yawned as he repeated the words of the man from earlier. "Now, however, I’m considering that option, as dying by his hands would be better than dying in boredom."
"Bastard—" One of the students near his feet tried to pull him down only to be sent hurtling through the air with a kick on his face.
"Pathetic," Vaelith muttered, jerking away the blood on his shoes. "Is this really the best Originveil has to offer?"
The murmurs in the stands grew louder, doubt creeping into the minds of students and civilians alike.
"Are we... not as strong as we thought?"
"If some outsider can humiliate our students like this, then... what does that say about us?"
"Maybe the academy isn’t as unbeatable as they make it seem."
The ones doubting were the first-year students and the civilians who didn’t know much about the academy.
Those whispers, however, struck a nerve among the teachers present. One of them, a burly man with a thick beard, slammed his fist against the railing of the VIP stand. "This is nonsense!" He growled. "You think some brat’s flashy victories prove anything?! The real strength of this academy isn’t measured by a handful of overconfident students rushing in without strategy."
Others in the faculty nodded in agreement, but the damage had already been done. The seeds of doubt had been sown.
Meanwhile, in a secluded section of the crowd, a small group stood apart from the hysteria.
Alex, Zahara, Mira, Gurrak, and Aelora watched the events unfold, each processing the situation in their own way.
Gurrak crossed his golden arms, a deep frown etched onto his face. "This is making us look bad," he grumbled. "If this keeps up, people will start questioning everything about the academy."
"They already are," Zahara pointed out, arms crossed. "This guy is strong, and he feels to hold some grudge against the academy."
Aelora tapped her fingers against her hip, watching Vaelith closely. "I don’t like this. He’s too calm. Too confident. He came here expecting to do exactly this."
Mira nodded as well, but she didn’t say anything. Her focus was on Alex, who silently gazed at Vaelith with an unreadable expression.
’Why is he here already?’ He thought to himself.
He knew who this man was—or at least, he had been.
Vaelith Noctis wasn’t just some prodigy from a low-ranked academy. He was something far more dangerous.
However, according to the plot, he was supposed to stay in one of the low-ranked academies until the interacademic competition.
Before Alex could dwell deeper in his thoughts, Zahara took a step forward, an unreadable expression marring her face as her fiery eyes stared at Vaelith. "I want to fight him."
The group turned to her, startled.
"Zahara, are you serious?" Aerola asked. "You saw what he did to the others."
Mira had a worried look on her face as well, her question being asked through her eyes.
Zahara, however, smirked. "And that’s exactly why I want to fight him. If we let this continue, he would make a joke out of Originveil. Someone has to remind him where he is."
Alex frowned at that. Vaelith wasn’t someone Zahara could defeat—no one knew that better than Alex.
He didn’t want Zahara to fight Vaelith, as he knew that she wouldn’t last more than twenty moves against that guy, especially with the strength she had right now.
Zahara had yet to obtain her cheat after all. Her arc hadn’t even started.
However, when he looked into her eyes, he could tell that she wanted to do this, and as he had promised himself, he wasn’t going to restrict his women from doing what they wanted.
"Alright," he nodded, his expression heavy. "But I will interfere the moment I feel like I should."
Hearing his words, Zahara’s grin widened as she gave him a thumbs-up. "Sure," she said.
’I will at least be able to find out how strong he is for you,’ she added inwardly.
Unlike what it seemed like, Zahara knew that she would lose. She just wanted to step into the fight to get some information on Vaelith for Alex.
Just then, however, cheers rang out in the colosseum, making their group frown until their eyes finally caught sight of the one responsible for the commotion.
Before Zahara could step forward, the next challenger had arrived, and this time, it wasn’t just anyone.
It was none other than the female body student council president—Fenna Hearthhop.
