Noble Pampering: Demon CEO's Relentless Entanglement-Chapter 878 - 874: Making Sure You Won’t Do It Again
"But it’s already very late..." Sophie glanced at her wristwatch, it was already eight in the evening. Was he sure he still needed to go to the office?
"Can’t it wait until tomorrow?"
"No." Leaving behind these simple two words, he turned and strode off.
Sophie felt a bit puzzled, her gaze drifting only to collide with Isabella Yates’ stare.
She had expected Isabella to act arrogantly in front of her while Asher Land was away, but instead, she just kept her head down, said nothing, and walked straight past her towards the mall exit.
"Sophie, see you...," Amy said hastily as she followed after them.
"Goodbye..." Before Sophie’s words hit the floor, Amy had already dashed far ahead, leaving a wry smile on her face.
In four years of college, she hadn’t made many friends; even relationships with those expected to be closest roommates were now so distant.
Isabella and Amy walked out of the shopping plaza, heading towards the parking lot.
The lighting in the parking area was rather dim, and they hadn’t reached their spot when a black Rolls Royce suddenly appeared, blocking their way.
"Ah!" Both shouted in unison; they had almost been hit.
Just as Isabella was about to curse, the car window rolled down, and Asher Land’s cold, handsome face magnified in their eyes, making Isabella suddenly tense, pupils contracting, she took a few steps back.
"Get in." The voice was chilling to the extreme.
"President Land..., are you talking to me?" Isabella pointed incredulously at her nose.
"Were you the one who locked Sophie in the suburban bathroom last time?" he asked casually.
Isabella’s body jolted with surprise; it turned out Asher Land really was here to give her trouble.
"I’m sorry, President Land, I was wrong about last time. Please forgive me this once."
"It can’t be the first time you’ve targeted her, can it? Heh, this time, how could I let you off? I need to teach you a lesson to make sure you won’t do it again." He let out a smirk that was not quite a smile.
"I’ll say it again, get in."
Isabella cast a pleading look at Amy, who could only shrug helplessly; she had warned her so many times not to target Sophie, but Isabella just wouldn’t listen.
Faced with Asher Land’s imposing aura, Isabella could only walk forward, knowing it was a dead end.
She opened the car door and sat in the back seat.
The car started and quickly disappeared from Amy’s sight.
What should I do now?
Amy was getting frantic. After thinking things over, she rushed back to the shopping building, hoping Sophie hadn’t left yet.
Unfortunately, when Amy returned to the counter, Sophie was nowhere to be found.
All she could do now was hope and pray for Isabella’s safety.
...
In the car, Isabella anxiously twisted her fingers, feeling on the verge of tears but unable to cry.
"Do you know what I enjoy doing the most?" the man in the driver’s seat asked softly. His question left Isabella confused, pondering deeply, afraid that any wrong answer would displease Asher Land and provoke his wrath.
"President Land, I’m sorry, I truly don’t know your preferences..." Isabella replied, trembling with fear.
