When Eva Miller returned to the Davis Family home, Sophie Smith was holding her phone and making calls nonstop.

"Eva, you’re finally back." It was already very late, and Sophie had waited a long time for Eva Miller to return. She had no idea where she went, so she blindly kept calling her. Who knew that after calling for so long, Eva wouldn’t answer and eventually switched off her phone altogether.

"Why didn’t you answer my calls? Where’s your phone?"

"Hello."

"Are you over your cold? Are you still running a fever?"

"Missed me?" Asher chuckled lightly. "I’ll come to see you in a few days. Lately, there’s been a lot to handle with the Land Family and the company."

"Hmm." Sophie wanted to say something else, but she caught Eva casting her a disdainful look. What’s this? They’re only interested in being lovey-dovey. Who wants to watch them flaunt their affection here?

"Sophie..." Eva tugged cautiously at Sophie’s sleeve, hinting at her.

"Oh..." Sophie cleared her throat. "Asher Land, I have something to talk with you about."

"What is it?"

"Um, can you talk to your brother, ask him not to bother Eva anymore?"

Asher Land’s lips twitched; he didn’t quite know how to respond. Luke Land seemed quite interested in Eva Miller, yet Sophie telling him to ask his brother to stop bothering Eva was indeed a dilemma for him.

"Different? How is she different?" Asher Land paused for a moment. "Although he might not marry her, he would definitely treat her well."
