Chapter 638: Chapter 634 I’m Technically Good (Part 2)

Eva Miller looked at Sophie Smith, who was wholeheartedly trying to calm the child, and couldn’t help but pout. πšπ—Ώπ—²πžπ°πšŽπ•“π§πš˜π˜ƒπ—²π₯.πœπš˜π•ž

"Sophie, you can’t hang out with me today, can you?"

"Huh?" Sophie felt a bit troubled. She looked at the child in her arms who was still crying, remembering that she had promised Eva yesterday that she would go out with her today.

"Well, why don’t you wait a bit? I’ll put the child to sleep, then have Amanda watch over him, and I’ll go play with you, okay?"

"Better forget it." Although Eva felt a bit disappointed, she didn’t want to take away Sophie’s time with the child. "You take good care of Alexander. I’ll go out on my own to wander around, and I won’t be back for dinner tonight. You and Mr. Davis don’t have to wait for me."

"Isn’t this bad..." Sophie felt a bit guilty.

"No, it’s not bad at all. It’s nice to go out alone. I hadn’t had the chance when work was busy," Eva said with a smile. "I’m off now."

Saying this, Eva blew Sophie a playful kiss.

Eva ran to the garage, got a car, and only realized after getting in that it was Luke Land’s car. That day, in a fit of anger, she had driven off with it.

"Should I return the car to him, huh?" Eva mumbled to herself, "Why should I return it? That guy is so nasty, stealing his car can be considered a lesson for him."

Feeling justified, Eva started the car and reversed out of the garage.

The red sports car sped quickly along the coastal highway. Eva drove at breakneck speed, her pretty face under the sunglasses slightly upturned into a smile, enjoying the rare marvelous moment.

"Wow, this is awesome!" she couldn’t help but shout, her long hair fluttering in the wind.

Suddenly, a similarly flashy yellow sports car was next to her vehicle and overtook her from the left.

"Damn, do you know how to drive? What’s with driving so close?" Eva cursed loudly a few times.

That car seemed to be doing it on purpose, always staying in her sight. Sometimes it drove alongside her, and when she managed to get slightly ahead, it would deliberately drive close and speed past her again, like it was constantly haunting her.

Eva turned her head, carefully examining the owner of the yellow sports car.

The man held the steering wheel with one hand, the other casually resting on the window. Even though his sunglasses obscured his face, Eva instantly recognized him from his mischievous smile.

Luke Land, damn it, why is he here?

Eva panicked and floored the gas pedal, overtaking the yellow sports car, zooming off into the distance.

"Trying to shake me off? Let’s see if you have the skills," Luke said with a playful smile, also speeding up.

A red and a yellow, the two sport cars raced like lightning along the coastal highway.

Eva looked through the rearview mirror at the car getting closer and closer, feeling a bit pressured.

Darn it, just give him back the car, could he stop chasing her?

This was really stressful.

Eva slammed on the brakes and brought the car to a stop.

Luke seemed prepared for this, slowed down, and parked his car steadily next to Eva’s.

"Hey, stopped running, huh? Car thief girl," he deliberately emphasized the last four words.

Thief? Girl?

Can’t you speak a little less harshly?

"I installed a tracking system in the car; didn’t you know?" Luke chuckled lightly, seeing Eva’s defeated expression, and felt incredibly pleased.
