Chapter 633: Chapter 629: Returned After Only One Slap (Part 1)

"What’s wrong with it? I was just giving him a little lesson, didn’t really destroy him."

"Eva, you can’t provoke someone like Luke Land." Sophie Smith just wanted to share her thoughts with Eva Miller and wasn’t trying to slander Luke Land or anything like that, "Luke Land and Asher Land are similar in some ways; if they set their sights on something or want to obtain it, they will stop at nothing to get it."

"So? Sophie, what are you really trying to tell me?" Eva Miller was a bit puzzled.

"I mean, I know you still have Mr. Johnson in your heart, so it’s best not to get involved with Luke Land."

"Do you think I want to?" It was her first meeting with him, and he actually did such a thing to her—it was simply unforgivable.

Eva Miller’s nature, she knew well, and she also knew what kind of person Luke Land was.

It seems she should ask Asher Land to remind Luke Land not to approach Eva anymore. Sophie Smith thought to herself secretly.

...

By the time Eva Miller drove back to the Davis Family, it was already very late, and Sophie Smith was indeed somewhat tired after the day’s chaos.

"Miss Smith, Miss Miller, you’re back." Amanda stepped forward and took the bags they were holding, "I thought you wouldn’t come back tonight, but luckily the gentleman was wise and asked me to prepare dinner for you. You haven’t eaten yet, have you?"

Amanda spoke at length, and Sophie Smith vaguely understood what she meant.

"Amanda, I’m not hungry." Sophie Smith said, then started heading upstairs; she only wanted to take a good bath and comfortably sleep for a while.

"Even if you’re not hungry, you should eat a little." Nolan Davis came downstairs in a silver-gray robe and flip-flops, his hair not yet completely dry—he must have just taken a bath.

"Mr. Davis, have you eaten?" Sophie Smith suddenly remembered her insistence on leaving with Luke Land today and saying some things she shouldn’t have to Nolan Davis, thinking back, she felt somewhat guilty.

"If I say I haven’t eaten, will you keep me company?" Between the conversation, he had already walked over to the dining table, and the maids began to serve dishes one after another.

"Of course, I will." Sophie Smith pulled out a faint smile; she didn’t really know what was up with herself today.

Nolan Davis had a noticeable tension when he heard her words.

But Sophie Smith sat beside him quite comfortably.

Eva Miller felt the atmosphere between Sophie Smith and Nolan Davis was nice and didn’t want to interrupt.

"Amanda, could you please bring a meal to my room later?"

"I understand, Miss Miller." Amanda was clever too; seeing Sophie Smith willingly accompany Nolan Davis was rare, so no one disturbing them was the best thing.

"Is he better now?" Nolan Davis asked casually.

Sophie Smith thought he was likely asking about Asher Land’s illness.

"Yes, much better; it was a severe cold, with several days of high fever, but now the fever has basically subsided." Seeing her relaxed smile, he knew a heavy weight had likely been lifted from her mind.

As long as she felt no pressure, that’s good.

"Well, did the Lands do anything to you?"

Every time Nolan Davis spoke, Sophie Smith had to guess his meaning; she thought by "the Lands," he probably meant Nathan Land.

So, she didn’t need to mention anything about Irene Morton.

"They haven’t done anything to me." She said this with peace of mind.
