Noble Pampering: Demon CEO's Relentless Entanglement-Chapter 599 - 595: I Believe in You (Part 2)
Miss your son?
Oh, how can I not miss him.
A wry smile tugged at his lips; since his son was born, how many days had he actually spent by his side? Has he fulfilled his duties as a father?
"Asher Land?" Seeing that he hadn’t replied for a long time and his expression wasn’t good, she knew he must be missing his son.
"Why don’t I bring your son out next time you have some free time, so you two can meet?"
"Okay." Finally, a hint of a smile appeared on his lips.
...
The Davis Family.
Amanda stood in the center of the hall, feeling uneasy.
Sophie Smith had clearly said she would return before Nolan Davis got home from work, but now Nolan Davis had been sitting on the sofa for an hour and a half, and there was still no sign of Sophie Smith.
"Who did she leave with?" he asked in a low voice.
"Oh, I don’t know either, but that man was quite tall and handsome..." 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Nolan Davis shot a reproachful look over; was this the time to say such things?
Amanda recalled more details when he questioned her.
"Mr. Davis, I remember now, Miss Smith said that man was her child’s father."
Asher Land?
Did he take her away again?
Nolan Davis’s face was clearly filled with rage; he raised his hand and smashed the teacup onto the ground.
"Mr. Davis..." Amanda was a bit fearful too, keeping her distance and not daring to get closer.
How could she be so reckless, knowing it was a pit of fire yet still choosing to jump in!
Just when Amanda was feeling anxious and didn’t dare to breathe, Sophie Smith appeared at the hall entrance, causing Amanda to let out a sigh of relief.
"Miss Smith, Mr. Davis is waiting for you, you’d better go and explain today’s situation to him," Amanda quickly pulled Sophie Smith over to Nolan Davis.
"Were you with him the entire afternoon?" He stood up and walked over to her.
"Yes."
"What did he say to you?"
Is that necessary to ask too?
"Mr. Davis, whatever he said to me seems to have, seems to have nothing to do with you..."
"Nothing to do with me?" he raised an eyebrow and asked.
"Yes." She nodded noncommittally.
Upon hearing her words, Nolan Davis couldn’t hide his frustration, he sighed and turned to go upstairs.
"Miss Smith, Mr. Davis is really worried about you, not only did you not apologize just now, but you also told him such things, really..."
Sophie Smith only offered her an apologetic smile without saying much else.
She walked to Nolan Davis’s door, just about to knock, but the door opened before she could.
"I’m here to change your bandages." She was still striving to fulfill her caregiving responsibility; she wondered if by doing so, she could express a bit of gratitude towards Nolan Davis.
"Come in." He opened the door wider, then stepped aside to let her in.
Sophie Smith carefully unwrapped the bandages for him and expertly applied the medicine.
"This wound looks a bit deep; it might take about a week to heal. I hope it won’t scar..."
Seeing the worry in her eyes, he slowly curled his lips into a smile.
"The medicine’s all done, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be leaving now." She packed up the medicine box and prepared to leave.
"Wait a minute."
"Is there something else?"
"Little Sophie, I’m not the kind of person who takes advantage of others, since you’ve helped me with the medicine, why don’t you let me help you with yours later?" he said teasingly.
