No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 116 - 114 Ruthless and Cruel [1st Update]
Chapter 116: Chapter 114 Ruthless and Cruel [1st Update]
Maya glanced at Henry Reid, thinking, it’s probably about Sienna Carter.
Since he came to ask, there’s nothing for her to dodge. However, before Maya could ask Christopher Scott to let go, Christopher spoke up first.
He said, "Young Master Reid, quite bold, aren’t you! You think you can take away someone who belongs to the third young master?"
Henry Reid listened to Christopher’s words, his expression was very unpleasant. Watching Liam Spencer dance with Maya last night, he had already noticed the close relationship between the siblings—Liam treated Maya even more intimately than Sister Jane Spencer! This didn’t make sense, especially since they weren’t that familiar before.
Now, hearing Christopher say that Maya is the third young master’s person, Henry felt increasingly uneasy, starting to suspect, yet not daring to think further. It was too filthy.
So, he took a deep breath, looked at Christopher, forced a smile, and said, "Christopher, I have something to discuss with Maya, could you please let go."
Henry knew about Christopher’s close relationship with Liam Spencer and Asher Norton. He once wanted to join their gang of six, but couldn’t get in. Nonetheless, he respected these men.
Christopher listened to Henry’s explanation, raised the corner of his mouth slightly, smiled helplessly, and said, "It depends on whether the fifth lady is willing to go with you."
Hearing this, Maya turned around and said calmly, "Young Master Scott, Henry and I are not strangers, no need to worry."
"OK!" Only after confirming Maya didn’t resist Henry did Christopher let go of her hand, allowing her to leave with Henry.
In the observation hall, Henry pulled Maya into the VIP viewing room, holding her shoulders tightly, frowning, looking down into her eyes, and asked, "Maya, what exactly happened between you and the third young master?"
Henry initially came because of Sienna Carter but couldn’t help asking about the issue between her and Liam.
Maya wasn’t foolish; hearing Henry’s question, she naturally knew he had noticed something unusual from Liam’s attitude towards her and thus asked her. She felt guilty about the question but wasn’t so foolish as to honestly admit it.
So, she asked indifferently, "What do you think could happen between my brother and me?"
Seeing Maya’s cold attitude, Henry panicked, quickly explaining, "Maya, don’t misunderstand, I didn’t think much, just asking casually."
The more Henry tried to cover up, the more his thoughts were exposed. Since this morning, he had heard people gossiping about Liam being overly intimate with Maya, with those unaware of her identity thinking she was his girlfriend, so he eventually asked. But asking made him regret it.
Seeing Henry’s panicked look, Maya took a deep breath and nonchalantly asked, "If there’s nothing, I’ll leave first."
The VIP observation hall made Maya particularly oppressed, as long as anyone suspected her relationship with Liam, she felt pressured and wanted to leave to avoid the issue.
Seeing Maya about to leave, Henry quickly grabbed her wrist, stammering, "That... that... Sienna just came to me saying you drugged her."
Twenty minutes ago, after leaving Liam’s room, Sienna went straight to Henry’s room, crying terribly in front of him, saying she was harmed by Maya, drugged by her, which resulted in her sleeping with Christopher. She pleaded with Henry to forgive her and speak kindly to Madam Reid to save the marriage, saying she truly liked him.
Even though Sienna knew her act was futile, she still sought Henry. She couldn’t silently take this loss; she had to let Henry know what a cruel woman Maya was at least; she aimed to ruin Maya’s perfect image in Henry’s mind.
She also spread rumors she heard from Elia Spencer, saying things were messy between her and Liam.
But, facing Sienna’s accusations, Henry didn’t believe it at all, only thinking Sienna smeared Maya because she liked him. Yet, he felt uneasy, so he came to ask Maya to clarify.
He needed a definite answer from Maya, to hear her say that she didn’t drug Sienna at all, because he believed the Maya he liked was wonderful and wouldn’t harm others. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
So, when asking Maya, he was extremely nervous, stuttering, afraid of upsetting her.
Even though his relationship with Maya was in poor shape, he still cared about her feelings. Seeing her maligned by Sienna, he was hurt, and his previously feigned indifference collapsed instantly.
Unexpectedly, things didn’t go as he wished, Maya’s nonchalant response dumbfounded him.
She said, "Mm! I did drug Sienna."
Instantly, Henry froze, standing there, pale, staring at Maya, unable to believe. He couldn’t accept that Maya would do something so vicious, couldn’t she not like him? Why destroy Sienna? Was it because if she couldn’t have him, no other woman could either? Or did she still like him deep down, unwilling to see him with other women, so she resorted to such despicable means to separate him and Sienna?
Suddenly, Henry’s mind was overwhelmed, a jumble of emotions he couldn’t articulate.
Disappointment? Heartache? Helplessness? Or something else? He couldn’t express it clearly.
He only knew that the Maya before him felt so unfamiliar; it seemed he never understood her, never knew what she was thinking.
Looking at Henry’s astonished face, Maya took a deep breath, continuing to confess her "crimes," she said, "I also tipped off Madam Reid, letting her catch the affair."
"Why? Why, Maya, why do such sordid things?"
In the end, Henry was disappointed in Maya; he couldn’t believe that such a pure and kind Maya would do such vicious things, didn’t expect she truly would frame Sienna.
Seeing Henry’s helplessness, Maya knew he was disappointed in her, but she didn’t clarify, didn’t tell him it was because Sienna and Elia framed her first, and she was only retaliating. Acting pitifully and seeking forgiveness was not her style.
So, she indifferently said, "Because I’m inherently that filthy person, I hate her arrogance, hate her flaunting in front of me, wanting to marry into the Reid family. I am narrow-minded, can’t see others doing well, so I drugged her, framed her, shattered her dreams, and made it impossible for her to marry into the Reid family."
Listening to Maya’s explanation, Henry trembled with anger, his voice shaking as he said, "Maya, Sienna is innocent. If you have grievances, come at me. Don’t you know you ruined her, left her with no dignity?"
