Chapter 103: Chapter 101: Market Looks Good [Part 1]

"I’ll bid two million, Miss Spencer, please dance with me." At this moment, another bid resounded from the bustling crowd.

At this point, Maya Spencer was even more puzzled, thinking, why is her brother-in-law joining in the fun too? Isn’t he afraid of making her sister angry?

Meanwhile, Maya’s identity further intrigued everyone, forcing them to speculate about who this beautiful new face really was, given that both the young master of the Reid Family and the Morris Family were interested in her.

Thus, Maya’s value was instantly driven up, and immediately someone else offered 3.5 million.

Maya looked at the third man who bid, let out a long breath, thinking that dancing with him was better than dancing with Henry Reid or Lillian Morris.

She didn’t want to dance with Henry Reid, nor did she dare to dance with Lillian Morris, fearing that someone might suspect she wanted to seduce her brother-in-law again, so she silently prayed in her heart, praying that no one would raise the bid further, just let her dance with a stranger!

When she finished her prayer, she looked up ahead and saw Lillian give her a wink.

In an instant, Maya understood that her brother-in-law was not trying to invite her to dance but rather to distract everyone’s attention, enliven the atmosphere, and encourage more bids, thus preventing her from dancing with Henry Reid.

"Five million!" But Henry Reid was not as easy to deal with as everyone thought; Maya had long experienced his persistence and clinginess.

Just as Henry Reid’s second bid fell, Madam Reid’s face turned extremely unpleasant, and she pulled Sienna Carter tightly to explain.

"Sienna, don’t overthink it. Henry just loves to argue; there’s nothing going on between him and that Maya."

Sienna Carter listened to Madam Reid’s reassurance, took a deep breath, and pretended to be calm, saying, "Auntie, I know."

But in her heart, she didn’t think so, because Henry Reid hadn’t even considered inviting her to dance. All he thought about was inviting Maya, and suddenly, her resentment towards Maya deepened, wishing she could tear up Maya’s pretty little face. With her foxy demeanor, how could she remain calm?

Madam Reid saw Sienna’s perfunctory response and knew she wasn’t happy, so she quickly sent a text to Old Master Reid, asking him to handle the situation.

In the crowd, Elia Spencer watched Henry Reid lavishly spend for someone, feeling no better about it, but at least much more balanced.

Henry Reid didn’t invite Sienna Carter to dance; Sienna might have second thoughts and call off the engagement.

She exhaled a long breath, hoping someone would outbid Henry Reid, so he’d offend Sienna Carter and still not dance with Maya.

Thankfully, her wish came true. Just as she was thinking about someone taking over Maya, she heard someone in the crowd bid, "Ten million!"

And that person was none other than the third brother who just came out of Maya’s room.

Seeing the third brother raise the bid for the Little Demon by ten million, Elia stopped breathing, increasingly doubtful that their relationship was purely platonic. But she wasn’t in a hurry to do anything, just watched the show unfold, knowing that if there was something between them, it would eventually come to light.

After Liam Spencer bid, the crowd went quiet, and everyone’s eyes brushed towards him, thinking, as expected, the third young master is generous, bold enough to win a lady’s favor.

At the same time, his relationship with Maya intrigued everyone further; why do they have the same last name? Is it just a coincidence, or is there a deeper connection between Maya and the Spencer Family?

"Ten million once!!"

"Ten million twice!!"

"Anyone else wants to raise the bid? If not, Miss Maya’s opening dance will belong to the third young master."

As the host’s words fell, the crowd fell silent; even if some could afford it, no one dared to compete with him! Therefore, Maya naturally belonged to Liam Spencer.

Later, Elia was taken away by a certain young master for three million, Henry Reid was taken away by Sienna Carter for four million, and Jane Spencer was taken away by Lillian Morris for twenty million.

That night, Maya finally understood what it meant to be among the wealthy. ƒrēenovelkiss.com

In the dance floor, Jane Spencer danced in Lillian Morris’s embrace. She raised her small face, looked at Lillian, and smiled, asking, "Did you really want to dance with Maya?"

"I saw Henry Reid arguing with her on the deck earlier; I just helped her out."

Lillian brought up the incident on the deck, making Jane relax and believe him, especially since he bid two million for Maya and twenty million for her, giving her plenty of face, so she believed that he was only helping Maya out.

So, she asked, "Arguing? Why were they arguing?"

Lillian listened to Jane’s question, shrugged, and said, "I was too far away to hear."

Meanwhile, another dancing couple didn’t have such a harmonious atmosphere. Maya’s small hands rested lightly on someone’s shoulders, looking at his chest, without a movement.

Compared to others, dancing with Liam Spencer was a relatively good choice, at least she wasn’t provoking Henry Reid again or bearing the stigma of seducing her brother-in-law.

Even so, she couldn’t escape Liam’s criticism.

He chuckled coldly and reproached, "Maya, your market value isn’t bad!"

Understanding what he implied, Maya knew well but didn’t confront the issue directly, deliberately removing her hands from his shoulders, gently hugging his back, and said, "Third brother, it must have cost you tonight."

Liam watched her show goodwill and meekness, wanting nothing more than to carry her to the room immediately and love her dearly.

So, he leaned down, close to her ear, and said, "Maya, after the banquet, come to my room."

"Third brother, that’s not good!! There are too many people; it’s not urgent." She pushed back repeatedly, thinking if she could escape for a moment, that would suffice.

"Maya, don’t make me repeat myself."

Hearing the man’s threat, Maya remained silent, lowering her head to look at her toes, without uttering a word. Dealing with Liam was like walking on the edge of a cliff; a slight misstep would plunge her into an abyss, never to return.

She knew that if she continued to refuse him, she wouldn’t escape tonight and would be tormented. Remembering how he sealed her mouth and bound her hands, Maya shuddered, hating the feeling of being restrained, thus not daring to provoke him further.

The man felt her body trembling, his large hands around her waist held her tighter, whispering in her ear, "Maya, be obedient, and it’ll feel good. If not, I can’t make any promises."

"I know, but can you not be so close now? Everyone’s watching; it’ll be awkward tomorrow night."

Listening to her concerns, the man instead hugged her tighter, almost lifting her off the ground.

Maya was completely speechless; she couldn’t understand why he had no concerns at all. Wasn’t he afraid of being seen by her sister, her father, or anyone else? Wasn’t he afraid that others would discover their abnormal sibling relationship?

While Maya struggled desperately against him, someone suddenly bumped her from behind, causing Liam to be pushed back two steps.
