No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1958: Hannah’s Extra Story (End)
She turned her head and saw the camera, her face reddening even more.
Green took the camera and walked around, arriving in the courtyard, where he saw Evelyn Winter playing with Big Round. The children were also there, holding handfuls of wedding candies, enjoying them with sweet smiles.
A red silk scarf was tied around Big Round’s neck, perfectly matching Evelyn Winter’s red little dress.
Noticing the camera pointed their way, everyone looked over, eyes filled with delightful curiosity.
Big Round and Evelyn Winter found the lens and struck their best poses.
Green looked at the image in the camera and said to the children, "Come on, everyone say something for blessings."
The youngest of the children was only three years old, and the oldest was just eight, not quite understanding the concept of blessings.
Big Bull was the oldest, and he spoke first, saying, "Congratulations on making a fortune."
Green thought about it, and realized it wasn’t that far off, "Anything else?"
The camera focused on the slow-reacting Joe, who scratched his head, a bit nervous, "Can... can I get a red envelope?"
Green was so amused he couldn’t stop laughing, then he pointed the camera at Evelyn Winter and Big Round.
Evelyn Winter sat upright, with the demeanor of a little gentleman.
As for blessings, he thought for a moment, "Hannah, may you always be happy and joyful."
It was Evelyn Winter’s blessing; Evelyn Winter was also a lifelong friend of Gold Lotus, Hannah’s name.
"Anything else?"
How could he only bless one person?
Evelyn Winter thought for a bit and also sent one to Arnold Simmons, "Arnold Simmons, make Hannah happy forever."
Green couldn’t help but laugh, "Okay, that’s great."
Just as he was about to move the camera away, Big Round barked.
"Woof woof woof!"
Green was momentarily stunned.
Evelyn Winter translated for it, "Big Round says there’s still him."
Understanding came to Green, and he smiled, swinging the camera back, "Alright, Big Round, what would you like to say?"
Big Round shifted its bottom, sitting in a standard position, standing straight, head held high, "Awoo—awoo—awoo—"
It made the sound very seriously.
The kids all cast admiring glances at it.
Big Round’s "literary skills" are really great!
The translation task fell once more into Evelyn Winter’s lap.
Evelyn Winter: "Big Round says it likes Hannah and me the most... Okay, and Arnold Simmons too."
Big Round glanced at him, then at the camera, ears twitching slightly, adding its iconic smile, showcasing its bright white teeth.
Sound of laughter arose, fireworks were heard at the entrance.
This was a rare bustling event in Bu Li, laughter accompanied by golden light, the camera frozen on everyone’s smiling faces, Camilla with the loudest voice, calling everyone together for a photo.
Though some were not quite used to focusing on the camera, everyone’s smiles were natural, pure, Big Round snatched the spotlight, even calling along Big Yellow, on the wall, the neighbor’s goose fluttered into the frame too.
The merriment and laughter were captured in that moment.
Men and women, young and old filled the entire courtyard, smiling as they watched the newlyweds make their bows.
As she bent over and lifted her gaze, Hannah caught sight of Arnold Simmons’s eyes, mingling with laughter and tenderness.
She called him as she did the first time they met, "Mr.Simmons."
Flashing bright eyes and a smile.
He curled his lips, using the red silk in his hand to place candy in her palm, softly whispering her name amidst the clamorous crowd.
Saying, "Mm, I’ve always been here."
Their love was long, crossing time, crossing space. No matter how far apart, he would always find her, accompany her.
The moment starlight fell into the sea, they met, embraced, became companions.
