No Substitutes for the Bigshots' Dream Girl Anymore!-Chapter 1693 Arnold Simmons Extra (59)
"What progress? Next exam you’ll still be sitting in the last examination room, at the very last desk."
The second-to-last place scored over a hundred points.
Arnold Simmons didn’t seem picky at all, "It’s pretty good, I’m used to it anyway."
He smiled and added: "If I changed places, I might not even be able to sleep."
Hannah: "..."
After school in the evening, Hannah and Tessa Thompson went downstairs together.
On the way, Tessa was very excited to share with her the performance of their class during the entrance at today’s school sports day.
It could be said that every class went all out to leave a memorable impression on their last high school sports day.
It’s not about being "shameless," it’s more about going for broke.
Some classes even had custom t-shirts made.
For example, Class Three’s t-shirts were a bit pricier, splashed with an ink-painting style, and they designed a jacket.
Class Five’s t-shirts were all black, with a symbol drawn by their own class printed on the back.
Class Six’s t-shirts were short-sleeved...
Of course, there were also classes without t-shirts, like theirs, for instance.
"I knew it earlier; our class should have made a t-shirt too, it would be nice to keep it as a memento."
Hannah accompanied Tessa to the bus station and waved goodbye when the bus arrived.
Tonight, outside the school gates, it will be even livelier. A new snack store has opened nearby that specializes in selling stinky tofu. Many students have gone to try it. Hannah also wanted to check it out, but when she saw that the line almost stretched to the street corner, she paused in her steps.
"Looking so long, want to eat it?" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
An unexpected clear male voice came from above her head.
Hannah turned around and sure enough, saw Arnold Simmons standing behind her.
The young man wore a black jacket and a duckbill cap, giving off a slightly unapproachable vibe.
But Hannah wasn’t afraid of him, "Did you bring tonight’s homework home?"
Arnold Simmons: "...Yeah, I did."
Hannah reminded him again: "Make sure you finish it on time."
Arnold Simmons clicked his tongue, sounding somewhat impatient but with a hint of amusement, "Hannah, are you a teacher or something, worrying about my homework?"
Hannah pursed her lips, "A teacher would care about doing homework, but a teacher won’t care if you actually do it or not."
Indeed, not even Oscar Evans, the class teacher, could manage Arnold Simmons, so naturally, other subject teachers wouldn’t either.
The Simmons Family seemed quite assured with Jimmy Simmons’s "self-indulgent" attitude, even the frequency of Jimmy looking for trouble with him had decreased.
As for doing homework...
Arnold Simmons’s lips curled into a smile, "Going by what you said, are you the only one who’s going to keep an eye on me now?"
Hannah turned away, silently joining the queue for the stinky tofu store, "I’m not keeping an eye on you."
"Then why are you still telling me to do homework?" Arnold Simmons followed, standing next to her.
Most of those in line were students from their school, but there were also other passersby out shopping; everyone looked down at their phones, and no one paid any attention to Hannah and Arnold Simmons.
Except for the girl standing in front of Hannah, who turned her head for a glance.
She was not a student, so she only mused to herself that the girl behind her was quite pretty and striking.
Holding the strap of her backpack, Hannah kept up her earnest good student façade, "Because doing homework can make one happy."
"What?"
This answer even took Arnold Simmons aback.
Hannah stood up straight, "Right, don’t you agree that each trip through the sea of problems brings a sense of satisfaction, and solving each one gives a sense of achievement? Combine the two feelings together—doesn’t that make you happy?"
The young girl’s voice was pleasant to the ear, like a nightingale’s song in spring.
