Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts-Chapter 5735 Righteous Indignation
Chapter 5735 Righteous Indignation
Everyone within the palace scattered, leaving behind only the race leader. He sat there quietly, his figure appearing lonesome within the spacious hall.
After a long time, the race leader finally sighed.
“Race leader, why do you sigh?” A voice rang out. Though the voice clearly came from right in front of him, there was no one there.
“I’m tired. I’m old. I no longer have the energy I once had,” replied the race leader.
The race leader slowly leaned back, his weary back resting against the throne. Deep lines of exhaustion etched across his face, making him look like an ordinary elder rather than a powerful leader.
“There’s no way around it. Who told you to be the leader? Since you hold the position, you must bear the responsibilities that come with it,” the voice responded lightly.
“I know. Let’s not talk about it. What do you think of that father and son?” asked the race leader as he sat back up.
“That Long Zhantian is strong. He actually sensed my existence. He is stronger than any of the Elders in the palace,” the voice noted.
The race leader continued, “And the child?”
“He has some kind of divine object blocking my probing. That little fellow’s origins must be quite something.”
“He could actually avoid your probing? Then whatever divine object he has must be extraordinary.”
The race leader was surprised but then chuckled. “Who cares about his origins? He passed the investigation of the Violet Blood Divine Formation, so he has no malice toward the violet blood race. He is one of us.”
“What do you plan to do about Luo Zichuan? The Luo and Bi families have abandoned all pretense in their struggle. I doubt they will cease before one side is victorious.”
At the mention of those two families, the race leader placed a hand on his forehead in frustration.
The race leader remarked, “What a headache. The world is changing, and there is so much we must do, yet they’re still fighting among themselves. This matter is too complicated. If handled poorly, the two families will start an unstoppable fire. If we bring that fire with us upon returning to Sovereign Mountain, I’ll be remembered as the worst sinner in the violet blood race’s history.”
The race leader felt like his head would split apart when it came to the matter between those two families. From the start until now, he couldn’t find any way to settle their disputes.
“Whatever, I’ll just drag this out for now. It just so happens that these two give me an excuse to avoid it,” muttered the race leader.
The voice reminded him, “Their arrival will likely add fuel to the fire. The conflict may intensify further.”
The race leader sighed, “Even with a crisis at hand, they’re still dragging each other down! However, I have a feeling that this little fellow’s arrival isn’t a bad thing.”
...
“Grandpa!”
In a private chamber, Long Chen saw Luo Zichuan and nearly lost control.
Luo Zichuan's left arm was gone, and the wound was covered in violet runes that gnawed at his flesh like parasitic maggots. His face was deathly pale as he lay unconscious within a barrier, his breathing weak.
Seeing his mighty and unyielding grandfather reduced to such a state, Long Chen almost couldn’t hold back his tears.
“Who did this?!” roared Long Chen, wanting to tear apart the offender.
“Chen-er, calm down. Your seniors are here. Don’t be rude,” said Long Zhantian as he patted Long Chen’s shoulder.
For Long Chen to roar like this made it seem as if he were interrogating them. It was truly inappropriate.
“It’s fine. For this child to be so angry shows that he cares deeply about his family,” said Luo Yingchen.
Another elder added, “Long Chen, don’t worry. Your grandfather was struck by the Violet Blood Soul Devouring Art, but we’ve managed to stabilize his condition. Sigh, though he will recover in time, his arm will not regenerate.”
Hearing that Luo Zichuan would permanently lose a limb, Long Chen was hurt. How could his grandfather end up like this?
“Actually, there is a way to regrow it,” Long Zhantian suddenly remarked.
“Dad, you have a way?” asked Long Chen delightedly.
Staring at the unconscious Luo Zichuan, Long Zhantian replied, “Your grandfather’s arm can’t regrow because he used his bloodline power to condense his Divine Emperor Crown after advancing. To regrow his arm, he would have to sacrifice his Divine Emperor Crown—”
“That’s unacceptable!” Long Chen immediately rejected the notion. If the choice was between keeping his realm and regrowing his arm, Luo Zichuan would undoubtedly choose to remain at his peak. He would rather bear the loss than regress.
“Let me finish. Right now, your grandfather doesn’t have enough excess energy to regrow his arm. But you do,” Long Zhantian stated.
“That’s right!” Long Chen slapped his leg in realization. His violet blood came from his mother, who had inherited it from Luo Zichuan. Although there was one generation separating them, Long Chen’s violet blood power should be able to help Luo Zichuan regrow his arm.
“Dad, you’re really smart!” praised Long Chen.
“You would have thought of it yourself if you weren’t panicked. But don’t act just yet. Wait until you have condensed your violet blood veins and reached the pinnacle of the Heaven Saint realm. Once your violet blood power is strong enough, you can help your grandfather recover,” Long Zhantian advised.
Luo Yingchen and the others were pleasantly surprised to hear this. That would be a blessing to the Luo family. After all, Luo Zichuan was the future of the Luo family, their greatest hope.
Luo Zichuan was strong and wise. Perhaps that was why the Bi family had taken such drastic measures against him.
With his spirits lifted, Long Chen approached his grandfather and spoke through the barrier, “Grandpa, Chen-er is here. Rest well. Leave everything to me.”
Though unconscious, Luo Zichuan seemed to hear him. His head trembled slightly as if acknowledging his words.
Seeing that response, Long Chen clenched his fists. He would investigate this thoroughly. If the Bi family had truly orchestrated this, he would make them pay dearly.
After all that his grandfather had done for the violet blood race, to suffer such treatment was unacceptable. The thought nearly drove Long Chen mad.
Unlike Long Chen, Long Zhantian remained composed. Thinking about it, Long Chen recalled the true reason his father had brought him to the violet blood race.
The internal politics of the violet blood race were too complex for an outsider like Long Zhantian to intervene directly. If he acted rashly, rather than helping his father-in-law, he might implicate the entire Luo family.
However, Long Zhantian did not seem surprised by the situation—as if he had expected it all along.
When they left Luo Zichuan’s recovery room, numerous disciples of the Luo family greeted them. Some of those disciples cried out excitedly when they saw Long Chen.
“Senior apprentice-brother Long Chen!”
They were from the Darklight Heaven’s Luo family. Seeing some familiar faces, Long Chen was moved.
“Senior apprentice-brother Long Chen, do you remember me? I’m Luo Fang!”

“I’m Luo Qi!”
“I’m...”
Seeing his old acquaintances, Long Chen smiled warmly. “Of course, I remember you all.”
In truth, he only recognized a few faces. But they were so excited to see him that he couldn’t say such a thing out loud.
Before the heartwarming reunion could continue, a mocking voice interrupted.
“I thought some major figure had arrived, but it’s just a novice without a single heaven vein."
