Nine Revolutions Star Transformation-Chapter 501 - 515: New Clues
"Bang!" With a loud noise, Chu Linfeng was struck several meters away by the sword of the man in black, yet he stood firmly on the ground. Aside from some dishevelment of his clothing at the chest, he bore no other wounds.
The disciples of Celestial Star Valley could hardly believe their eyes. To remain unscathed in the face of such powerful attack was truly unbelievable.
Yet the reality was right before their eyes, compelling them to accept it. Someone quickly realized, based on Chu Linfeng’s age, physique, and the rusted Iron Sword in his hand, that he must be the newly risen Green Frost Sect Master, one of the Nine Major Sects.
With his arrival, everyone’s spirits soared from despair to hope; he was the true savior, and the disaster of Celestial Star Valley was averted with his appearance.
At this point, the man in black was filled with a grim expression. The agony from the soul’s injury forced groans from his lips, and his tottering state startled everyone.
They couldn’t understand why such a drastic change occurred to the man in black after clashing with the Green Frost Sect Master, as he bore no physical injuries.
Chu Linfeng now resembled a killing machine, continuously unleashing Martial Skill in the secret room, with power no less than Tyrant Slash, and significantly less consumption of Chaotic Dragon Power.
There were about thirty attackers among the men in black, and similarly, a traitor was within Celestial Star Valley, poisoning many disciples. This poison wasn’t fatal but rendered them unable to use Star Power.
It was akin to the Ten Fragrance Soft Tendon Powder used by Yang Rui before, causing weakness and loss of attack power, but this poison was several times more potent than Yang Rui’s.
Fortunately, there were dozens who didn’t fall victim to this poison; some were returning disciples, others avoided it due to being in seclusion training. Otherwise, Chu Linfeng might have seen a field of corpses.
Chu Linfeng was like a killing machine; every sweep of the Cyan Frost Sword resulted in the death of a man in black, who then turned into a cloud of black mist and vanished.
Of course, some men in black, realizing the dire situation, attempted to flee, but Chu Linfeng’s Instant Teleportation was incredibly swift. The faster they fled, the quicker their demise.
In the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, Chu Linfeng slaughtered all the men in black. However, he spared a protector among them, needing the information he held.
"This matter is concluded. This person is useful to me, so I’ll take him. Do not publicize this; the strength of the Dark Forces is beyond your imagination. I could save you once but not necessarily a second time. I hope you take care of yourselves," Chu Linfeng said, preparing to take the seriously soul-injured protector of the man in black away.
"Sect Master Chu, please wait. If not for your intervention, everyone at Celestial Star Valley would’ve perished. Please, Sect Master Chu, condescend to have a glass of wine at Cold Valley before you leave!" said an elderly man with graying hair.
Needless to say, Chu Linfeng already knew this was likely the Valley Master of Celestial Star Valley, though his name was unknown. Chu Linfeng replied, "Valley Master, I appreciate your kindness, but I have other matters to attend to. Perhaps we can have that drink next time!"
Saying this, he took the protector of the man in black and vanished from the crowd’s sight with an Instant Teleportation. His immense strength left a profound impression on them again.
After several Instant Teleportations, Chu Linfeng arrived at a desolate place, where he tossed the protector of the man in black on the ground, saying, "How does it feel? Does it feel worse than death?" 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Though the protector of the Black Night People was formidable, his soul heavily wounded, he was powerless to escape, enduring immense pain as he said to Chu Linfeng, "Boy, you’re dreaming if you think you’ll get information about my organization from me. Even if I die, I won’t let you succeed."
Chu Linfeng’s heart jolted at these words, sensing his suicidal resolve. If he really died, Chu Linfeng’s plan would be for naught.
But at that moment, a white light flashed at Chu Linfeng’s brow, and a silver small sword flew out, quickly disappearing into the brain of the protector of the man in black.
The protector indeed harbored a suicidal instinct, but Sword Spirit’s timely arrival sent him rolling on the ground, engulfed in pain so overwhelming he lacked the strength to die, left to emit agonized roars.
Muscles knotted on his face and sweat poured off him like rain. The protector seemed to muster all his strength to shout, "Boy, even if I die, you won’t be doing well. When our Elders come out of seclusion, it will be your end."
Sword Spirit emerged from his brain, twirling a few times in the air before returning to Chu Linfeng’s brow just as the protector of the man in black, bleeding from seven orifices, had his heart meridian severed and died.
In mere seconds, he transformed into a cloud of black mist and vanished before Chu Linfeng, who felt a twinge of emotion at the death of the man in black. The Dark Forces’ members were so tenacious, willing to die to keep secrets, pointing to the terrifying strictness of their organization.
Chu Linfeng then asked Sword Spirit, "Sister Yue’Er, is there any progress in the information obtained?"
"Not much progress. This person’s brain also bore a Soul Mark, and in the brief time, I gleaned only two pieces of information: his codename was Number Two, and that his organization planned to attack a Major Sect soon, though which one was unknown," Sword Spirit said.
Chu Linfeng was shocked, confirming these guys were methodically targeting sects in Canglan Ancient Land. He needed to alert these sects, especially to watch for unusual behavior among disciples. A traitor can ruin a sect in an instant, often someone high up and close to the Sect Master.
Seeing the time, Chu Linfeng quickly moved toward Green Frost Sect. If the Dark Forces targeted them out of spite, the weakest Green Frost Sect would be in trouble.
His Instant Teleportation distance grew with each use, pleasing Chu Linfeng. It didn’t take him long to return to Green Frost Sect, which had completely transformed into a Major Sect, with far more buildings and disciples than before.
During Chu Linfeng’s seclusion and absence, the elders he entrusted handled affairs methodically, recruiting nearly three thousand disciples. Even the weakest among them was at Celestial Martial Realm, which was Chu Linfeng’s minimum requirement.
The expansion of Green Frost Sect was nearing completion, and preparations for his wedding would naturally follow. With his presence in Green Frost Sect, he feared no Dark Forces; he was immune to all poisons, untouchable...
