Nine Revolutions Star Transformation-Chapter 430 - 443: Gathering at Huangyang Building
Young Master Wenqin looked and saw that it was Young Master Wushuang and Young Master Lingxu, two of the Four Great Young Masters, and immediately smiled, "Brother Wushuang and Brother Lingxu are really eager. The auction should still be a day away, yet you arrived two days early."
"Didn’t we want to come early to gather? This Huangyang City isn’t famous for much else, but the roasted whole lamb is unforgettable. Interested in joining us for a drink?" one of them said.
At this moment, Chu Linfeng carefully observed the two of them. They were both just as handsome, elegant, and charismatic as Young Master Wenqin; one wore a white robe, the other a gray robe, both outstanding individuals.
"Since Brother Wushuang has invited me, how could I refuse? However, I have a friend I’m not sure if the two of you would welcome?" Young Master Wenqin said, pointing to Chu Linfeng.
"Lin Feng greets the two Young Masters!" Chu Linfeng said politely, knowing that being low-key made things easier.
Young Master Wushuang and Young Master Lingxu glanced at Chu Linfeng, noticing he too was handsome and extraordinary, and seemed to be at the Divine Martial Realm, suggesting a powerful background. However, they couldn’t pinpoint which sect this youth came from, as among the Nine Major Sects, all but Celestial Fragrance Pavilion, which was all females, were well-known.
Yet they had never seen this youth before, possibly from a secondary sect or one of those hidden clans, more likely the latter, as such youths often had unfathomable strength.
"So it’s Brother Lin Feng, I’ve long admired you! Since you’re Brother Wenqin’s friend, you’re naturally ours too. Today, we’ll have a good gathering at Huangyang Building in Huangyang City. If I’m not mistaken, Brother Feiyu and Qing Ruming are already there," Young Master Wushuang said.
Young Master Lingxu also exchanged pleasantries with Chu Linfeng, making acquaintances. For Chu Linfeng, dealing with these young masters was genuinely a headache; he wasn’t familiar with them, yet courtesy was needed.
The four of them then left, and soon they stopped in front of a massive restaurant. Chu Linfeng looked at the front of the building and saw a giant sheep head hung above the entrance. Its horns were almost three meters long, and the head’s eyes and nose were intact, as if freshly severed.
This should be a type of Magical Beast resembling a sheep. Unexpectedly, it was so well-preserved amid the sun and rain, suggesting the owner of this Huangyang Building was no ordinary person. Chu Linfeng had a hunch the owner might be from the Carefree Palace and held a high status.
The four of them went inside, and a middle-aged man immediately came to greet them. Seeing Young Master Wenqin, he said, "Young Master Wenqin, you’ve finally arrived. Young Master Wushuang and the others have been waiting for you for a long time, and had to go looking for you. Hurry, Young Master Feiyu has been waiting as well."
Soon he noticed Chu Linfeng beside Young Master Wenqin. "And this is?" Clearly, this establishment only allowed people with status into designated rooms.
"This is our friend, Young Master Feng. In the future, treat him as you would treat us, with courtesy!" Before Young Master Wenqin could speak, Young Master Wushuang said.
The middle-aged man quickly responded to Chu Linfeng, "Greetings, Young Master Feng. I failed to recognize someone of your stature; please don’t take offense."
"You’re too kind, let’s go!" Chu Linfeng said, though internally he was displeased by the title ’Young Master Feng’—it reminded him too much of ’Mad Young Master,’ but he wasn’t mad.
The middle-aged man led all four into an exquisite room. Upon opening the door, Chu Linfeng saw three people sitting at a large table: two women and one man. The two women wore veils, and the man was exceptionally handsome, even surpassing the other three young masters.
Chu Linfeng recognized this was surely Young Master Feiyu, the foremost of the Four Great Young Masters, and one of the veiled women must be the Saintess Qing Ruming of the Carefree Palace. As for the other, her identity was uncertain, but presumably also of high status.
"Brother Feiyu, you sure know how to enjoy yourself, starting the feast with your lady without waiting for us," Young Master Wushuang remarked.
Young Master Feiyu glanced at the four arrivals, focusing his gaze on Chu Linfeng. "And who is this? He seems unfamiliar to me."
"This is Young Master Feng, a friend of Young Master Wenqin, ergo our friend too, right?" Young Master Wushuang replied.
Young Master Feiyu’s eyes shot an electric glance at Chu Linfeng, who looked back, their gazes locking for a long time before parting.
This exchange left them both startled. Chu Linfeng was surprised that Young Master Feiyu possessed a technique akin to the Mind Reading Art, able to perceive others’ inner thoughts through a gaze.
However, he wouldn’t succeed, for Chu Linfeng had Sword Spirit Xuanyuan Yueyan, a heaven-defying existence. Even if Young Master Feiyu was powerful, he’d still come up empty, with his own Heart Spirit slightly damaged.
When he looked at Chu Linfeng, the Sword Spirit had informed him of Young Master Feiyu’s abilities, which led to their enduring gaze.
Yet Young Master Feiyu was deeply shocked, for he couldn’t breach Chu Linfeng’s defenses. The youth seemed an unfathomable master, capable of defeating him soundly, yet Feiyu had never seen or heard of him before.
"Young Master Feng, where do you hail from? Among the Nine Major Sects in Canglan Ancient Land, I’ve never encountered you. If I’m not mistaken, your power might rival my own," Young Master Feiyu remarked.
Everyone else was astonished. If someone else had said this, it might appear boastful, but coming from Young Master Feiyu, the leading young master, it was another matter.
Especially Young Master Wushuang and Young Master Lingxu, who looked at Chu Linfeng in amazement as if they were dreaming. This seemed impossible.
Young Master Wenqin was equally shocked but trusted Young Master Feiyu’s words, as he had lost badly to him in a flying contest, and Lin Feng’s speed was astoundingly fast.
"Brother Feiyu, are you serious?" Young Master Wushuang asked incredulously.
"Whether I am or not, someone knows better than I do. Isn’t that right, Young Master Wenqin? This is your friend; don’t tell us you don’t know," Young Master Feiyu laughed.
The veiled woman suddenly spoke, "Brother Yu, is he really as formidable as you say? I sense he’s unwilling to show his true face, hiding behind a mask. Does he distrust us or think little of us?"
"Rumeng, you think Young Master Feng is in disguise? Really? I didn’t notice any flaws," Young Master Feiyu asked.
"Young Master Feng, could you reveal your true face to everyone?" the veiled maiden asked, her voice like celestial music to Chu Linfeng’s ears...
