Nine Nether Dragon Emperor-Chapter 394: What are you so crazy about!
He had previously thought that the Holy Realm was the domain of saints. Now, it was clear he was greatly mistaken.
After all, legendary saints possessed immense power. Their mastery over universal laws was unparalleled.
He was already at the Fourth Layer Heavens of the Venerable Realm, yet he still hadn't sensed the existence of any laws. It was certain that others, only a single realm higher than him, couldn't have either. This was the confidence granted to him by the Chaos Ancestral Dragon Scripture.
Soon, Ning Xuan scoffed, "So, after all that, you're not even a real saint? What the hell are you so arrogant about?"
The black-robed figure's eyes narrowed, and he laughed in fury. "Good, very good! I've decided to drain them for my cultivation right in front of you! Then you'll know just why I'm so arrogant!"
As his voice fell, he lunged again. This time, his speed was deliberately much slower. He wanted to humiliate Ning Xuan, to make him understand that a Holy Realm Cultivator was not to be insulted.
Ning Xuan let out a low shout and resolutely met the attack head-on.
A mocking sneer twisted the black-robed man's lips. "Like a mantis trying to stop a chariot. You truly overestimate yourself!" he taunted, striking out with his palm.
CLANG!
Amidst the sound of clashing metal, Ning Xuan was thrown backward, while the black-robed figure shuddered as if struck by lightning, his movements faltering for a moment.
Damn it! I have to dodge!
BOOM!
A long staff descended from the sky. He crossed his arms in haste, barely managing to protect his head. With a deafening explosion, the earth shook and the mountains trembled.
The black-robed figure vanished, replaced by a large crater.
The long staff in Ning Xuan's hands disappeared, replaced by a great hammer, which he slammed down into the pit with the force of a collapsing mountain.
Then, Ning Xuan started playing a game of whack-a-mole. The figure, battered and dizzy, tried to burrow out from another spot, but the moment his head emerged, Ning Xuan smashed him right back in.
Underground, the black-robed figure was seething with frustration and humiliation. Although his opponent's attacks hadn't actually hit him, this tactic was an absolute disgrace! Who was he? He was an enforcer of the Heavenly Principle Star Realm! Even cultivators whose cultivation far surpassed his had to show him respect! But now, his dignity was being ground into the dust. This was simply outrageous!
RUMBLE—
Underground, the black-robed man's body suddenly constricted, and then, astonishingly, a brilliant golden light erupted from him! Not only did the ground tremble, but stalactites began to snap and fall throughout the vast cavern.
CLANG!
A luminous skull fell and landed on the mobile mansion, and its light immediately began to dim.
The mobile mansion was bound to Ning Xuan, so he immediately sensed the anomaly. That skull contains astonishing energy!
"Hold on!" Ning Xuan shouted without a second thought, immediately stopping his assault.
The black-robed man underground was stunned. He couldn't understand why his opponent had stopped, but his reactions were anything but slow. He immediately burst out of the ground.
Mocking laughter followed him.
"Wasn't someone just saying my Junior Brother wasn't even fit to be a servant? Look at you now! Hee hee, just a Holy Realm Cultivator. What the hell are you so arrogant about?" Wu Pianpian stood with one hand on her hip, looking utterly triumphant.
The black-robed man's face turned livid, but this time he didn't rush to attack. This kid is strange. He was clearly injured a moment ago, yet that last strike showed no signs of it. In fact, his power seems to have increased. He's hiding a great secret! Or perhaps…
His gaze fixed on the Heavenly Sacrifice Cauldron, which had returned to its original state before Ning Xuan. The more he looked at it, the more extraordinary it seemed.
So the secret is the cauldron! As the realization hit, he began to laugh.
But Ning Xuan's next action completely baffled him.
"What, you want it? Then take it." With that, Ning Xuan actually tossed the cauldron toward him.
It's definitely a trap! That was the black-robed man's first reaction. He didn't dare try to catch it, instead retreating explosively.
The cauldron landed harmlessly on the spot where he had just been standing. Nothing happened.
"Hee hee hee! You call that his treasure, but when my Junior Brother offers it to you, you don't even have the courage to accept it. What the hell are you so arrogant about?" Wu Pianpian's mocking laughter rang out again.
The black-robed man's face darkened, and he vanished on the spot. His target wasn't the cauldron, nor was it Ning Xuan. It was Wu Pianpian, who stood at the edge of the mobile mansion!
WHAM! 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Not only did his strike miss, but the black-robed man also tripped and fell flat on his face! He instantly twisted around and shot backward. His body tensed as he scanned his surroundings, his expression becoming extremely grave. He had clearly felt a powerful hand grip his ankle!
"Who's there playing games? Show yourself!"
There was no response.
"I am an enforcer of the Heavenly Principle Star Realm! Do you wish to make an enemy of the entire Yuan Domain?!" the black-robed man roared, his voice sharp and severe.
To be able to hide right beside me without my noticing... their strength must be unimaginable! The black-robed man's first thought was that a supremely powerful cultivator had escaped their prison. This is a grave matter. The Heavenly Principle Star Realm contains numerous pocket dimensions, and each one imprisons a peerless existence! They are, without a doubt, the absolute strongest beings in the entire Yuan Domain! If they broke free, never mind my current status as a mere enforcer; even if my rank were several levels higher, I would be utterly insignificant.
"Aren't you a mighty Holy Realm Cultivator? What's the matter?" Wu Pianpian, standing to the side, started making her snide remarks again. After all, her opponent was an extremely powerful enforcer. The only way she could help Ning Xuan was to continually chip away at his Mental State.
This time, the black-robed man had no attention to spare for Wu Pianpian.
An idea struck Ning Xuan, and he called out to the four women, "Grab all those skulls from the walls! They contain energy that surpasses Divine Crystals!"
Wu Pianpian and the others immediately understood. Agreeing in unison, they all sprang into action.
The black-robed man whipped his head around, his eyes brimming with killing intent. He was just about to strike, but then he saw the smile on Ning Xuan's face.
Instantly, he froze as if his feet had taken root. This little bastard has help! Damn it! No wonder he dared to challenge me despite his pathetic cultivation!
The corners of the black-robed man's mouth twitched; his composure completely shattered.
"Hahaha, Junior Brother, you were right!" Wu Pianpian's loud laughter rang out at the perfect moment.
"Don't miss any! Get every last one!" Ning Xuan shouted with a triumphant grin.
The black-robed man trembled, his fists clenched tightly within his long sleeves. He had spent countless years of painstaking effort on this place; it was his greatest trump card. After so many years, not even the Law Enforcement Commander and the others knew of its existence. Yet now, a few humans, as insignificant as ants, were plundering his life's work right under his nose!
His heart was bleeding. But despite the towering rage that threatened to consume him, he didn't dare make a single move.
Across from him, Ning Xuan almost burst out laughing. He had never imagined his little prank would be so effective. Seeing the man's tormented expression, he felt a sudden urge to tell him the truth!
Of course, it was just a fleeting thought.
At the very least, he couldn't tell him now. He had to wait until the mobile mansion had absorbed enough energy.
However, Ning Xuan soon realized he had underestimated the black-robed man. The man was about to see through his bluff. Ning Xuan kept the smile plastered on his face, but his mind was racing.
