Night Without End-Chapter 14 - 9 Golden Silk Jade Robe
Chapter 14: Chapter 9 Golden Silk Jade Robe
Shallow Night was about to conclude, Qin Ming woke up; the Sun Stone in the copper basin emitted a gentle firelight, and the house was eerily silent.
He was unbearably thirsty, his throat was almost smoking, and after drinking several big bowls of ice water, he finally took a long breath.
Soon, he noticed something unusual. His clothes felt slightly tight, and seemed to no longer fit.
Realizing something, he went before the door frame to measure himself and confirmed he had grown taller.
Qin Ming was somewhat trance-like; he had only slept for a night, but the process was beyond imagination, nurturing a robust power of rebirth in a short time, and his innate foundation developed once again.
He stretched his limbs and felt as if he had inexhaustible strength. Once outside in the yard, he effortlessly lifted two stone millstones.
Then, he tried to support them with one hand. While they felt very heavy, he could momentarily hold on for a while.
Qin Ming was surprised himself; he could now lift a 400-pound weight with one hand, wasn't this comparable to some of the famous youths in the bright city far away?
He took off the ill-fitting clothes, only to discover that the blood scab on his shoulder had fallen off, leaving no scars behind; this too was a manifestation of rebirth.
Afterwards, he began to prepare dinner.
Qin Ming cooked a pot of meat soup, and grilled wolf ribs until they were fragrant and enticing, using mutant creatures as ingredients, enough to satisfy the body's needs for "rebirth".
He ate meat voraciously and drank soup from a big bowl, already hot from his body temperature, now sweating profusely, feeling a warm current surging within him, spreading throughout his body.
Although rebirth was in its later stages, it was not yet over; he wanted to strike while the iron was hot, fully activating his body's vitality to promote this process.
His physical fitness drastically improved, and movements that were difficult in the past could now be performed with ease and grace.
Inside Qin Ming, it felt as though there was a flame burning, seeking to shine out through his skin.
Eventually, his body started to display clusters of "Golden Points" which then broke through, with tiny but discernible golden hairs emerging from them.
This was quite unusual, as it had never happened before.
"Golden Hairs" sprouted from his flesh, bringing out a faint trace of blood. It looked frightening initially, but it did not truly harm his body.
Qin Ming felt a sense of relief; his body's energy became fresher, filled with vitality and vigor, this process seeming like a "detoxification".
He soon understood, this was full rebirth, exterminating harmful substances.
His original pores seemed inadequate, "Golden Hairs" sprouting in clusters, piercing out from his body, mixed with strands of blood, carrying out the old impurities.

Golden hairs continuously surfaced, densely packed, resembling moving golden needles, resonating with each other, intertwining on Qin Ming's skin like sewing cloth, forming a spectacular sight.
Added to the faint white mist surrounding his body, he appeared quite ethereal.
He was tireless, consuming a lot, eating wolf ribs whenever hungry, and would continue stimulating his body's activity after short rests.
Occasionally, he would also study Lu Ze's "Night Meditation Technique Introduction".
Throughout the night, Qin Ming exuded a large amount of sweat, and his metabolism was exceptionally fierce.
His body tingled, as if sprouting branches and teeming with vitality, carrying the aura of everything's initial rebirth.
When intense sleepiness struck, he stopped moving.
He realized that he was about to enter the final phase of "hibernation".
After a quick wash, he lay down on the kang, his eyelids nearly unable to stay open.
In a blur, he saw a faint Silver Light emerging on his body surface, also spotting lots of golden hairs appearing like flying golden threads, "weaving" in the white silver mist.
Although extremely tired, Qin Ming was still deeply amazed; the golden threads crisscrossing, dividing the silver light into many blocks, densely forming a grid pattern, making his body appear as if enshrouded in a "Golden Silk Jade Robe".
He was somewhat trance-like, his thoughts wandering, thinking about many things.
Ancient emperors were buried in Jade Boxes, linked with golden thread, placing their reliance on the longing for immortality, seeking it even in death.
Was the "Wild Technique" he learned in his childhood so special? Natural flowing white light mist occurred during transformation rebirth, the golden threads connecting, as if dressing in a Golden Silk Jade Robe.
Could it be that the ancient emperors had heard some rumors, prompting them to command the crafting of the Golden Silk Jade Robe?
He shook his head, feeling he was overthinking. Following that, he could no longer resist and fell into a deep slumber.
Shallow Night arrived, Qin Ming woke up feeling tight, and soon he understood the situation; he had sweat profusely at night, and the golden threads emerging brought out traces of blood, which after drying on his skin formed a thin cocoon.
In the water jug, there was a whole block of ice. After smashing it into pieces and boiling a pot of water, he washed up, changed into clean and spacious clothes, instantly feeling refreshed and clear-headed.
Clearly, his body temperature had dropped down, signifying that the "rebirth" was almost complete.
Qin Ming went out to the yard, once again lifting the two stone millstones, this time more effortlessly, able to sustain it with one hand for a long period.
Then, he placed a hundred-plus-pound stone lock on them.
"Very heavy!" he felt it significantly heavy, quite challenging.
The two rough stone millstones, auditioned with the stone lock used for training arm strength, weighed over 500 pounds, but he was still able to support them with one hand.
Lu Ze had once told him that in the bright city far away, there were youths capable of lifting 600 pounds.
Qin Ming's eyes were clear, his smile bright, his arms now possessed the strength of a thousand pounds.
As for those mysterious unknown cities at the far end of the land, he did not know how formidable the newcomers of the golden age were.
Qin Ming picked up half of a Horned Deer, along with one hind leg of a Donkey headed Wolf and some of its rib racks, and went to the neighboring yard.
