Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven-Chapter 383: Spatial Auroras
"The World Will already filled me in on everything that had roughly happened so far."
Grey remembered back to just before he entered Blue Star and met the World Will.
The first thing she opened up with was about the chaos seals being unsealed.
By now, only one chaos seal was left to be taken, and it was in the western continent.
But there was an issue.
With Lia, Jasmine, and Bai Yue going through the planet scouring for the seals, strange phenomena began to take place after they were almost done.
Speaking of Jasmine, she was currently in seclusion. She had obtained lots of opportunities from the other side, which he believed should be something that Tian Yuan left behind.
If he wasn’t wrong, Tian Yuan was the leader of the Daoye Palace.
He did mention something about "going to find the opportunities his Daoye Palace left him on the other side."
Well, that aside, it was also important to understand that there was not a single life form on the other side, not even in the sub-dimensions of the first and second layer.
All of it was swallowed by the abyss. With Grey clearing away the corruption energy, every single one of them was cleansed, except a certain one which was a literal portal to the abyss. If he wasn’t wrong, if he put some world-breaking source power into it, it should open up.
"Did the World Will mention anything about the Spatial Auroras?" Lia inquired.
"Yep," Grey nodded.
Getting back on topic, whilst Lia began to unleash the chaos seals, the world was hit with a strange phenomenon, and those phenomena were known as the Spatial Auroras.
An aurora made out of chaotic currents of space leaked out from who knows where. Out of it, strange beasts along with treasures erupted, and those places became zones where one could scour for treasures.
Evolvers seeing this phenomenon rushed to these Spatial Auroras in hopes of finding treasures and getting stronger.
And this included a certain few people he knew.
"Evan, Alissa, and Lin Fang entered one of them," Lia couldn’t help but say, making sure that Grey knew about it.
"I know." Grey’s lips twitched thinking about it.
Entering one of these Spatial Auroras was fine.
But the thing was, almost a week after the Spatial Auroras appeared, they began to swallow everything and everyone within them, and there were no traces of them left.
But what unsettled Grey wasn’t that.
It was the fact that the western region also got swallowed up in the process.
Which led him to believe it was no coincidence.
The lesser heaven, Leon, and anything related to the high order, including the entire region itself, vanished without a trace, and that included Lin Fang, Evan, and Alissa.
...
A few hours ago.
Grey stared at the traces of the spatial flow and then activated his fate insight.
"A golden fate with no ominous indications?" Grey was wide-eyed when he saw this.
The spatial traces he was looking at were precisely the ones which swallowed Alissa, Evan, Lin Fang, and also Alissa and Evan’s friends from Nova City, Albert and the girl called Ellen.
And the so-called golden fate was the legendary "protagonist fate."
Or rather, a golden fate is something that the protagonist and his party of friends receive. Endless opportunities and riches awaited them on the other side.
Seeing there were no ominous indications, Grey eased up at first. He also sensed two connections tracing back to Lia from here, and it was combined with the golden fate.
This meant that either Lia was originally supposed to get swallowed too but didn’t due to her fate changing drastically because of him.
And this also represented another possibility. The threads being connected meant that they were close by and were bound to meet again soon.
Fate Insight can never lie to Grey because the fate he sees cannot be changed easily unless he himself decides to change it as a Fateless One.
Of course, there was a possibility it was Tian Yuan who did it.
He was, after all, a higher-dimensional being who seemed to be on the level of the abyssal god.
But then again, Grey wasn’t convinced enough.
His figure flickered, and he arrived in the airspace of the western region.
With the western region closed, there were no longer any functioning airways other than Federation-authorized flights going around the place.
Peering down, the insight he picked up was slightly different from before.
It was slightly golden, yes, but also showed a bad omen for Blue Star.
But this was within Grey’s expectations.
Leon and a lesser heaven went missing. Those two combined could bring forth a big disaster to Blue Star. And now that they had been set free from the western region, it was most likely they would come back soon to take revenge or even swallow the planet.
Of course, Grey wasn’t going to let that happen in the first place.
Just as he thought that, Grey’s vision flickered abruptly. Sensing this, Grey immediately got serious.
His vision flickered?
How was that possible?
But just as he mused that, it began to flicker even more.
Eventually it began glitching, and a chill ran down Grey’s spine just as quickly.
[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing the traces of an unfathomable being, you’ve gained insight into Spatial Auroras.]
Grey waited no further. With a wave of his hand, time paused, and within minutes, whatever fluctuation was left was directly cleansed away.
Leaving nothing but empty space at the place where the western region was.
"But this is interesting," Grey suddenly smiled.
With the golden fate masking it, he couldn’t sense it properly, but here, there was not much golden fate, and he sensed it clearly.
It was exactly as he thought. Someone was fully aware of the existence of Blue Star and took away the key pieces from here.
The protagonist, his fellow companions, and the major antagonists.
He and the others had entered the new arc of the world and would most likely continue growing stronger.
"But it looks like we are bound to meet soon after all."
There were threads connecting the spatial traces of the western region to Bai Yue, meaning the reunion might come sooner than one might think.
Perhaps in a month or two at best, judging from the thickness of the lines.
As for Grey himself, it was clear there were no fate threads bound to him.
He should have already recognized this pattern when he once met the fate holder.
Even after becoming acquaintances and having a ready connection with Xia Qingyue, he still didn’t form any connection by fate. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
This was his fate.
No other being could bind him, nor could karma affect his existence. He was already above such concepts.
Speaking of Xia Qingyue, she also left with Evan.
But Grey didn’t mind. Since they would meet soon, he would take her to his side then.
