Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven-Chapter 343: Revival Of Leon
The High Order members who had remained emotionless until now finally reacted.
Not because they realized Leon was still alive after the combined multi-domain assault, an attack powerful enough to destroy an entire world if unleashed in the First Layer.
No.
They reacted because they felt their life force draining away.
Whrmm!
A massive energy construct began forming in the void beside them. The surrounding space warped violently as abyssal energy condensed, twisting into a familiar silhouette.
It was Leon.
"Priest Leon, you cannot do this to us!" one of the High Order members screamed as terror finally surfaced on his face.
It was the last thing he ever said.
His body was pulled apart mid-sentence, reduced into pure energy as he was forcibly dragged into the forming construct. The other three High Order members followed, their forms collapsing as they were swallowed without resistance.
The construct pulsed.
Then it stabilized.
"...What?" Luca’s expression changed sharply.
The others were no better.
"Everyone," Bai Yue said abruptly, her golden eyes flaring as fate lines shattered and reformed before her vision. "He’s getting stronger."
Her warning came too late to stop it.
It was only natural.
Leon had devoured three Fourth Rank existences.
Abyssal energy surged violently as the construct completed its transformation. Flesh reformed. Bones regenerated. His priestly garments emerged seamlessly from his skin, pristine and untouched, as if nothing had happened.
Leon stood whole once more.
"You mongrels really thought you could eliminate me?" Leon laughed manically, his voice reverberating through the Second Layer. "Who do you think I am?"
His eyes burned with madness and triumph.
"I am the Grand Priest Leon!"
The space around him cracked violently.
Before anyone could react, a metallic object tore through the fractured void and forced its way into the Second Layer of Space.
An AV.
Its hull groaned under the terrifying pressure, metal shrieking as spatial distortion pressed in from all sides. Yet it did not collapse. Most of its structure had been reinforced with cosmic energy, forged from rare steels refined by master blacksmiths.
This was no ordinary vessel.
It was capable of withstanding the Second Layer.
Which meant only one thing.
It had been forged by a Fourth Star blacksmith expert.
As the AV stabilized within the distorted space, a voice emerged from within.
It belonged to General Ben.
The AV stabilized within the Second Layer as the hatch slid open.
"We’re here, Grand Priest Leon," General Ben said calmly as he stepped forward, his figure fully revealed.
The moment his face became clear, shock rippled through the battlefield.
"Ben?" Jackie Everhart’s eyes widened in disbelief.
Even Viktor Everhart stiffened.
"Is that really you, Ben?" Jackie exclaimed again, his entire body turning cold.
This was his elder brother.
Weaker than him, yet once one of the Federation’s most important generals.
Why was he standing beside Grand Priest Leon?
"You," Viktor roared, fury shaking his voice as it echoed through the void. "Ben Everhart, get back here. What are you doing with the High Order?"
The surrounding experts fell silent, their expressions turning grim.
"General Ben," Luca said, his voice filled with rage as he stepped forward. "Are you betraying the Federation?"
Without waiting for an answer, Luca acted.
"Daring to betray the Federation. Face your judgment."
He swept his hand forward.
Energy surged violently across the Second Layer as a gigantic hand condensed from above, crushing downward toward General Ben.
But Ben did not panic.
Because Leon had already moved.
"Federation Master Luca," Leon said coldly, fury erupting from him. "I made myself clear. Do not touch my people, or you will face the consequences."
He swept his hand forward.
"Blood Light, come forth."
"Abyssal Blood Severance."
Scarlet lines burst from Leon’s body as he clasped his hands together. The blood-like light drilled through the chaotic currents of space, tearing forward with terrifying momentum straight toward Luca.
"Watch out!" Bai Yue shouted.
She moved instantly, positioning herself in front of Luca as her power surged outward.
The other experts reacted at once.
Boom!
The Grand Polarity Master formed a barrier in an instant. Yin power, absolute control, beastly energy, spiritual force, and formation strength converged together, slamming head-on against the incoming blood lines.
"I don’t need your help," Luca said arrogantly, stepping forward as he added his own power into the defense.
Yet the moment the Abyssal Blood Severance collided with their combined force, every expert present felt their expressions darken.
The attack was overwhelming theirs.
"Put in more power," Wang Bao growled.
For a brief instant, his head partially transformed into that of a tiger as his aura surged violently.
Luca glanced at him with clear disgust before refocusing on suppressing the attack.
Boom!
After several tense moments, the blood lines finally shattered.
The shockwave rippled outward.
Silence followed.
Every expert’s expression was grim.
Leon had grown stronger.
Significantly stronger.
"Tch," Luca said coldly, staring at Leon. "Why are you so angry about us attacking your High Order members? Didn’t you just devour your own people moments ago?"
Leon looked at him with open disdain.
"It’s fine when I do it," Leon replied calmly. "Not when mongrels beneath me do."
"The feeling is mutual," Luca spat back. "You filthy abyss foot licker."
Then his gaze shifted to Ben.
"But Ben Everhart, count your days. Anyone who betrays the Federation will never see the light again."
"What light?" General Ben sneered.
"I was part of the High Order from day one. I was never loyal to the Federation."
He laughed softly.
"Nor was I ever loyal to the family."
"I’ve seen the true nature of the Abyss. It’s not something humans can fathom. Surrendering to it is the only path."
"Well said," Leon said with a satisfied smile.
He then turned his gaze toward the AV.
"Did you bring what I instructed?"
"Yes," General Ben replied with a nod.
With a casual wave of his hand, the AV’s doors opened once more.
Several figures floated out.
Aron.
Lena.
"You both are here." Leon acknowledged Aron and Lena, who simply nodded at him.
And between them, suspended helplessly in midair, was a young woman.
Valeria.
"No!" Jackie Everhart shouted.
His expression collapsed as his body trembled uncontrollably.
"This..." Viktor’s eyes widened, disbelief written across his face.
Wasn’t that little Valeria?
"What are you doing with my daughter?" Jackie roared, unable to restrain himself any longer.
A blade condensed instantly in his hand as killing intent erupted from his body.
