Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven-Chapter 333: Tian Yuan
Thunder cracked and boomed as the white-robed man stood in the air with his hands clasped behind his back. Right next to him, the Abyssal Mistress stood with a devilish grin on her face.
"You did not expect to see me this quickly, did you, Junior Grey?" the Abyssal Mistress said in a tone of mockery.
"Indeed, I have to hand it to you. Your bed-warming skills are better than I thought. You only left for a few hours, and you already warmed another man’s bed." Grey chuckled as he glanced at the man beside her.
A wide grin stretched across his face as he turned to face the white-robed man.
The white-robed man was exceptionally handsome, but what caught Grey’s attention wasn’t that.
It was the phenomenon around them.
"Heavenly tribulation?" Grey asked with a smile on his face.
"Indeed." The man slowly parted his lips with an indifferent expression.
"Hm, why does he look familiar?" Jasmine tilted her head in confusion. Then she turned to Grey and flashed him a smile.
"Chief Grey, you can let go of me. I am safe now. You don’t need to hold onto me anymore. I can fly and am, in fact, stronger than you." Jasmine said sweetly.
Grey was still tightly holding onto Jasmine, and his grip around her waist hardened when the words heavenly tribulation were spoken.
It was clear that Grey had met someone who utilized the same law as him.
"Oh yeah, right." Grey let go of Jasmine as if he were throwing away garbage.
"How rude." Jasmine chuckled at this, but she knew he was absent-minded right now. All of his attention was placed on the indifferent man standing before the tribulation clouds.
"To have accurately disrupted the power from my AV, which is based on my own world’s technology, you are not ordinary at all, Senior." Jasmine spoke as she addressed the white-robed man.
Hearing this, the white-robed man turned toward Jasmine, and a flicker of interest flashed across his face.
"A Future One? Interesting. I didn’t expect that I would meet a Future One here." The white-robed man said with interest.
"Huh?" Both Grey and Jasmine were stunned when the white-robed man uttered those words.
But just as quickly, they became wary. Jasmine’s hexcore had already begun calculations, ready to unleash powerful magic.
The white-robed man looked at the two young ones in front of him and chuckled.
He had already realized they were on guard and prepared to attack at any moment.
"Before we go into battle, let me introduce myself."
"I go by the name Tian Yuan."
Thunder boomed and crackled as his name was uttered, and at the same time, Jasmine’s expression changed.
...
Azrael Corporation, Ashspire City.
Several AVs shot toward the Azrael Corporation at immense speed. Soon, they all landed and docked in front of the corporation. Being massive, it could accommodate that many AVs at once.
The main AV opened, and a man with broad shoulders, wearing a white uniform with the Federation symbol and a hat, stepped out. Behind him were two others, one man and one woman.
The man wore a similar uniform to the broad-shouldered man but was clearly a lower-ranking officer. Next to him was a woman wearing glasses, holding a tablet as she followed behind.
"Niece Valeria." As soon as the broad-shouldered man descended, his presence overwhelmed the entire city. But the moment his eyes landed on Valeria, who was already there, it calmed.
"You are still safe."
"Uncle Ben." Valeria greeted him with a grim look on her face.
They had arrived faster than she expected, and there was still no contact from Grey.
"Looks like everyone is here." Uncle Ben greeted Valeria with a subtle nod and spoke in a dignified voice.
"Very well. There is no time to waste. We will head to safety as soon as possible."
"We will depart in an hour."
"Wait, Uncle Ben. Father called me earlier and didn’t tell me much about anything. What exactly is happening in the Southern Region? Why can’t we stay here? Shouldn’t we be concerned about the citizens here?" Valeria asked urgently.
"It’s not that big of a threat." Uncle Ben glanced at her. "But since you are the young miss of the Everhart family, nothing can harm you or the corporation you have built here."
"That’s why your father specifically sent me here as a precaution."
"If things go well, you can return in a few days."
Valeria fell silent upon hearing this. He still didn’t specify what the problem was.
"Uncle, are you trying to dodge my question?" Valeria asked with a frown.
"I’m sorry, little Niece, but I cannot say anything about it. I’ve already made a binding vow related to this." Uncle Ben shook his head.
"The best course of action is to prepare to leave. We will depart in an hour."
"In an hour? No, that won’t be possible. We can’t leave without Grey or Lia."
"Grey or Lia?" Uncle Ben frowned. "And who are they?"
"Grey is my friend, and Lia is my friend as well. Grey left a while back, and Lia went to find him. I’ve been trying to contact them, but they haven’t answered."
Valeria knew the importance of Grey becoming the ruler of the Southern Region, so she didn’t mention it. Uncle Ben worked for the Federation, after all.
"No, we can’t do that." Uncle Ben’s expression turned stern. "We will depart in an hour. If they can’t make it, we will leave without them."
"No, I refuse." Valeria rejected him outright. "We are not leaving unless they come back."
"Stop making this difficult for me, Niece Valeria." Uncle Ben sighed tiredly.
Just then, Werner, who had been observing from the side along with Alissa and his disciples, stepped forward.
Lia and Little Hong had left to find Grey. Lia had grown worried after hearing about him fighting an abyssal being.
The last time Grey fought one, he died.
"I hope you can give us more time, General Ben." Werner spoke carefully. He had already recognized Uncle Ben’s rank.
"I am friends with Overseer Gu. I hope you can give us more time to prepare and wait for our friends to return."
Werner knew he lacked the status to speak to a general, so he could only invoke Gu Qianchen’s name.
"Huh? Who are you, old man? Overseer Gu? It doesn’t matter whether you are Overseer Gu’s friend or his slave. We will be leaving today." Uncle Ben sneered.
"..."
The area fell into silence after General Ben’s words.
Even Alissa’s eyes flickered.
But she said nothing.
She wasn’t strong enough.
Nor did she have enough status.
