Netori: I Shall Steal All Of My Enemies' Women For Revenge!-Chapter 250: The Lie I Carry Behind My Back
"You kidding me?! He’d die from just that?" Rin snapped, crossing her arms. "I’m not even close to satisfied!"
"Calm down," Arataki said coolly, already prepping supplies.
"Haruto, give him oxygen. I’ll handle the opioids and beta-blocker."
Haruto moved quickly, pressing the mask against Ren’s face. His body still jerked in sporadic spasms, but the oxygen helped regulate his breathing.
Rin watched with a heavy sigh, arms folded as she leaned against the wall.
"I should’ve hooked him up to an ECG and a BP monitor before this," Arataki muttered, oddly relaxed as he administered the injections through the IV line.
"You’re surprisingly calm about all this," Rin remarked, raising a brow.
Arataki chuckled. "Well, I help out with the gang sometimes—patching people up, keeping others alive long enough to learn their lesson."
"I suck at theory, but give me tools and a body, and I’ll improvise."
As Ren’s body slowly stilled, the convulsions ceased, and his breaths grew more even.
"Vitals stabilizing. Good," Arataki nodded. "I’ll finish hooking him up to the monitors. You two can go rest."
Haruto and Rin peeled off their gloves and bloodied robes, washing their hands before stepping out. The hallway felt much colder after the operation room’s heat.
"Your friend is a real psychopath," Rin muttered.
Haruto shot her a look. "Says the girl who crushed a guy’s balls until he had a heart attack?"
She rolled her eyes. "Touché."
Outside, old man Futto stood leaning against the wall, lazily puffing on a cigarette.
"It’s over already?" he asked, checking his watch. "That was fast. Thought you kids would play longer."
"Yeah, well, shit happens," Rin muttered, stretching her arms. "Anyway, I’m starving. Gonna grab lunch."
She wandered off without another word. Futto watched her go, whistling low.
"Damn. That girl’s the real psycho. How the hell is she thinking about food right now?"
Haruto shrugged. "We didn’t even get started. The heart attack came from the pain overload. Guess she went a little too far."
Before Futto could reply, a soft tap landed on his shoulder. Haruto turned and found Ayaka standing beside them, her expression gentle.
"Haruto... do you have a minute?"
"Of course," he said with a warm smile. "Let’s grab ramen. I found a great place nearby."
He waved casually to Futto as he left with Ayaka. The old man stayed behind, eyeing the closed operation room with a grimace.
He refused to go there because he knew it would be too bloody for him to handle.

Haruto and Ayaka sat across from each other in a modest ramen shop, the gentle clatter of bowls and the low hum of casual chatter surrounding them.
They chatted idly, letting mundane topics fill the silence as they waited for their food.
"Haruto... thank you," Ayaka said softly, her smile tinged with relief. "For getting revenge for me. I never thought I’d escape Ren... not really."
Haruto returned her smile, his fingers brushing the side of his cup. "Don’t thank me. It’s something I should’ve done a long time ago—for the woman I love. No one deserves to suffer like you did."
He knew all too well how hard it was for a woman to break free from a toxic relationship.
Ren was just like Daiki in his previous timeline—abusive, controlling, manipulative, and suffocating.
Even Haruka hadn’t been able to escape back then...
That was why this time, he would make sure no one would end up miserable... With him as an exception.
"After this," Ayaka said suddenly, her voice laced with longing. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
"I want to visit my old hometown. Would you... come with me?"
Haruto opened his mouth to answer—but before he could, a sudden chime rang out in his head.
[Ding!]

Haruto’s heart thumped with excitement. Finally, he thought.
The system had been quiet lately—likely because most of his targets had already reached high affection stats, with the exception of Akane, Ai, and Mai.
Without hesitation, he reached across the table and gently took Ayaka’s hand.
"I will," he said, his voice firm. "I’ll go with you—wherever you want to go."
’At least, until I can’t anymore.’ he thought bitterly.
"Let’s heal your wounds together, Ayaka. Let’s face the past and build a future that’s ours."
Her eyes widened—and then, tears spilled freely down her cheeks.
"Wh-What’s wrong?" Haruto asked, panicking slightly as he leaned forward. "Did I say something bad?"
She shook her head, smiling through the tears. "No... I’m just happy. So happy that I get to be with you like this... without anyone standing in our way."
She wiped her cheeks clumsily with her sleeve. "I really thought you wouldn’t come back for me. That I’d rot in that hell forever."
Haruto stood and moved beside her, wrapping his arms around her tightly.
"Of course I came back," he whispered into her hair. "I’ll always come back for you, Ayaka... again and again, no matter how many times it takes."
Though he didn’t understand well what she meant, but he knew it was himself in the past that left her.
And with Ayaka’s last quest, the past might open once again for him to see.
"Really?" Her voice trembled as she looked up at him. "Promise you won’t leave me again?"
The words hit him hard. His body stiffened—because deep down, he already knew. His path might one day take him away from all of them.
He met her tear-filled eyes, the weight of her hope resting heavily on his chest.
"...Yes," he whispered, hugging her even tighter. "I promise. I won’t leave you again."
’Even if that’s a lie... it’s a lie I’ll carry to protect all of you.’
