Naruto: Wooing Tsunade from Day One!-Chapter 455: Ten Tails Cells
Chapter 455 - 455: Ten Tails Cells
"Let him study it first."
Kawakaze didn't care much—Sharingan wasn't that important to him.
Now, if it were a naturally awakened Rinnegan, that would be worth considering.
But that was even less realistic. Even for Madara, awakening the Rinnegan had been an immense struggle.
He wasn't naïve enough to think that simply fusing Hashirama and Madara's cells would hand him the Rinnegan on a silver platter.
"Suit yourself."
Tsunade put on her gloves, clearly intrigued by Madara's corpse.
Misaki busied herself arranging the tools, fulfilling her role as the perfect assistant.
"Shall we begin?"
Orochimaru's eyes gleamed with anticipation as he stared at Madara's body, showing not even the slightest respect for the dead.
"Go ahead."
Tsunade picked up a sharp scalpel, positioning herself on one side of the dissection table, while Orochimaru took the other.
"I'll grab the containers."
Misaki quickly stepped out.
Kawakaze glanced at Orochimaru and Tsunade's expressions and felt a chill run down his spine.
Medical researchers truly needed a strong stomach.
"How's your Tailed Beast cell fusion project coming along?"
As Kawakaze turned back, Madara's chest had already been cut open by the two researchers.
"The fusion has been relatively smooth so far," Orochimaru responded without pausing his work. "But it's still incomplete, so we can't draw too many conclusions yet."
"One thing is clear—it's significantly more active and powerful than standalone Tailed Beast cells."
"The body was well-preserved, and the cells are still intact," Tsunade added. "Some of them haven't even lost their activity yet."
A subtle compliment to Kawakaze.
"That's all thanks to my wife's teachings."
Kawakaze quipped without missing a beat, though his mind was already elsewhere.
Orochimaru had first obtained cells from the Seven-Tails, Chōmei, extracted from its wings. The goal had been to replicate its ability to fly.
Judging by the current progress, there had been some success—these were the largest Tailed Beast cells they had cultivated so far.
Next came the Two-Tails, Matatabi, which Kawakaze and Orochimaru had stolen from Kumo.
Those cells had already begun developing claw-like structures.
The third set came from the Three-Tails, harvested from Isobu before Kawakaze finished it off.
The fourth sample was from the Nine-Tails, collected on the day of its resealing.
As of now, Orochimaru had successfully fused cells from four different Tailed Beasts.
That meant they were still five short of reconstructing a full Ten-Tails cell.
...
The One-Tail, Shukaku, was still sealed inside Bunpuku. Based on the original timeline, the old man was still alive.
Shukaku wouldn't be transferred into Gaara until Bunpuku's death—and Gaara hadn't even been born yet.
The Four-Tails was inside Rōshi, who was already on Konoha's kill list. Obtaining Four-Tails cells was only a matter of time.
The Five-Tails had perished, meaning its recovery would require more planning.
As for the Six-Tails, Kawakaze had no concrete leads yet.
According to the original timeline, it was still in the Land of Water, though it was unclear if it had already been sealed inside Utakata.
Once the war escalated, retrieving the Six-Tails' cells shouldn't be too difficult.
The Eight-Tails was sealed within Killer Bee, who was currently active on the battlefield in the Land of Earth.
Getting his hands on Eight-Tails cells wouldn't be much of a challenge either.
...
After sorting out his thoughts, Kawakaze had a clear plan.
Whether or not the Ten-Tails cells could actually be reconstructed, he wanted to try.
He suspected that the power of the Ten-Tails was the true key to unlocking the power of the Six Paths.
Without the Sage of Six Paths bestowing power upon him, obtaining the Ten-Tails' strength was the next best path to the top.
If everything proceeded as planned—if he fused Madara's cells and later acquired Ten-Tails cells—then gaining the power of the Six Paths would be inevitable.
At that point, no matter what crisis the ninja world faced, he would have the strength to handle it.
...
However, gathering all nine Tailed Beasts to fully resurrect the Ten-Tails and become its Jinchūriki was not part of his plan.
For one, he would never accept losing Tsunade.
And beyond that, the Divine Tree was a lurking disaster waiting to happen.
"Desperate simp."
Orochimaru placed a slightly damaged organ into the container Misaki had brought.
"I'm happy to do it—what's it to you?"
Kawakaze felt a bit frustrated. Even his own insults were being stolen by these guys.
"Do whatever you want."
"Just don't waste our time."
Orochimaru remained expressionless, but the corner of his mouth curled ever so slightly in amusement.
"I'll handle the Tailed Beast cells. Just make sure the experiments keep progressing."
Kawakaze wasn't in the mood to keep bickering with Orochimaru. The once-intact corpse was now in pieces, barely recognizable.
"Then I'll leave it to you, Lord Kawakaze."
Orochimaru's sarcastic tone was grating.
"Can you two shut up for a second?"
"Hm?"
Tsunade took a deep breath, clearly reaching her limit.
What should have been a serious matter had turned into pointless banter, thanks to these two.
"Alright."
Kawakaze and Orochimaru responded in unison, unexpectedly in sync for once.
Misaki glanced between them, then covered her mouth to stifle a laugh.
It seemed Tsunade was the only one capable of keeping them in line.
The dissection room finally quieted down, leaving only the soft sound of blades slicing through flesh.
"Done."
Tsunade set down her scalpel and removed her bloodstained gloves.
"For once, we actually did something productive."
Orochimaru took off his gloves as well, but couldn't resist throwing another jab at Kawakaze.
"Watch your mouth, brat."
"I haven't even taken out everything yet."
Kawakaze pointed at Orochimaru, his gaze filled with mock threat.
"Oh? My apologies, but I'm not interested."
Orochimaru's words were dismissive, but inwardly, he was itching with curiosity.
This bastard still had something else to show?
"Hurry up."
Sure enough, Orochimaru wasn't the only research fanatic in the room.
Kawakaze might be a pain, but there were others who could deal with him just fine.
"Alright, alright, my dear wife."
Kawakaze shot a glare at Orochimaru before instantly switching to a more obedient expression. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
...
As he unsealed another scroll, several White Zetsu bodies appeared on the floor.
"What the hell is this?"
Tsunade frowned slightly. She had never seen anything like them before.
"I don't know either, but I can tell they're valuable."
Kawakaze avoided revealing the true origin of White Zetsu, instead firmly insisting they were something worth investigating.
Very few people in the world had even seen White Zetsu, a strange being extracted from the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.
They weren't exactly corpses, but calling them living beings wasn't quite right either.
At any rate, leaving them to Orochimaru was the best use for them, and Kawakaze didn't feel like overthinking it.
"Even though they look like corpses, their vitality is incredibly strong."
Tsunade walked up, placing a hand on one of them and sensing a familiar energy.
"This thing... it has Grandpa's cells too?"
The moment she said it, Orochimaru could no longer hold back.
He rushed forward, crouching down to examine the White Zetsu from top to bottom.
"This is unbelievable."
"These things don't require sustenance, don't produce waste, yet they can maintain such immense vitality indefinitely. It's absurd."
Even after a thorough inspection, Orochimaru couldn't hide his amazement. He had never imagined such a lifeform could exist.
"This must be the result of Madara's experiments with Hashirama's cells."
"If you can unravel the secrets behind them, it could be a historic breakthrough in medical science."
Kawakaze spoke as he casually stomped down, instantly severing one of the White Zetsu's arms.
"Regeneration?"
Orochimaru gasped as the severed limb regenerated right before their eyes, visibly growing back in real time.
"That's right."
"And you know exactly what that means."
Kawakaze rarely saw Orochimaru this visibly shaken, and he couldn't help but feel smug about it.
Finally, he managed to act like a true genius in front of this guy.
"If we can apply this to ordinary people, it would be nothing short of a miracle in the medical history of the ninja world."
"No doubt!!!"
Tsunade, despite knowing firsthand how powerful Hashirama's cells were, was still deeply shaken by what she had just witnessed.
"Exactly. Injuries that were once deemed untreatable may now have solutions."
Orochimaru took a deep breath, trying to steady his emotions, but his eyes gleamed with excitement.
In his mind, the research value of White Zetsu had already surpassed everything he had studied before.
"Good luck—I've got high expectations for you."
Kawakaze patted Orochimaru's shoulder, looking thoroughly pleased.
This research might not be able to bring back the dead, but regenerating lost limbs? That was entirely possible.
At the very least, in the original timeline, Might Guy's shattered leg could have been fully restored.
For Konoha's future, the significance of this discovery couldn't be overstated.
