Naruto: Unlocking Kaido Template-Chapter 233
Chapter 233 - 233
Zixu's body was still slowly recovering, but his opponents were far too powerful. Each of them alone could give the Five Kage a serious headache—now he had to face three of them at once.
Even without the help of a system, Zixu's recovery had improved drastically through brutal self-inflicted training. But the sheer destructive force of the three in front of him was not to be underestimated.
And then there was Black Zetsu. The power of the Nika Fruit had once helped defeat Kaido. Sure, that was largely thanks to the Straw Hat Pirates continuously wearing Kaido down, but it didn't change the fact—the Nika Fruit was insane.
Madara, on the other hand, was like a walking arsenal of forbidden techniques. Orochimaru might not even know half as many as him. On top of that, he'd fused with the First Hokage's cells, giving him insane regeneration.
And Obito? He was the real nightmare. His Kamui could bend space itself. If he couldn't beat you, he'd phase into another dimension and disappear. Straight-up infuriating.
"Fall here. This is your fate..." Black Zetsu stared down at Zixu, convinced this was the end. He'd already uncovered all of Zixu's tricks. Even the system he once relied on had been stolen away. What could he possibly have left?
"Fate...?"
Zixu's thoughts drifted to the figure in his dreams. Normally, Devil Fruits were rumored to house a second consciousness—Crocodile and Doflamingo had both encountered theirs—but Zixu had never felt any presence like that. Not consciously, anyway. Except... in those dreams.
Chains wrapped around a towering figure, standing alone at the edge of a storm, facing down the crashing waves of destiny. That man moved upstream—fearless, unbroken—even in the face of utter destruction.
Zixu's eyes snapped open, fire blazing within their cold depths. A silent rage now burned behind them—rage aimed at the world.
He gripped his mace tighter. A faint red steam began to rise around him, and the long-absent purple eyeshadow of Sage Mode returned. The space around him trembled with unnatural life. Even the bricks beneath his feet felt alive.
This was the essence of Zixu's unique Sage Mode—Inorganic Reincarnation.
The lifeless matter around him began to stir, slowly floating upward, gathering and vanishing toward some unknown place. At the same time, his Haki burst outward in a shockwave—and he noticed something critical: Black Zetsu hadn't mastered Haki yet.
Invisible pressure swept the battlefield. But everyone present had ironclad willpower. If this were the One Piece world, they'd all have Conqueror's Haki too. They wouldn't be easily shaken.
"A powerful aura..." Madara muttered, narrowing his eyes. "Is that the Eight Gates? No, something different. But I recognize that energy."
He sensed it—the small tree, hidden deep in his forest of chakra. It was nearly ready. Just a little longer.
Obito, unaware of the tree's development, was still unleashing everything on Zixu. He had no hope left for this world. If Rin couldn't come back, then everything else deserved to burn.
Suddenly, Zixu teleported in front of Black Zetsu. For the first time, the two stood face to face—same appearance, opposite souls. Both hell-bent on killing the other.
Zixu didn't overcomplicate it. He swung his mace with raw brute force, no tricks. Just pure strength and speed, aimed straight for Black Zetsu's skull.
As expected, Black Zetsu tried to rubberize his body to absorb the impact—clearly mimicking Luffy's style—but Zixu just smirked.
"Looks like your teacher didn't teach you shit. Let me show you how Haki really works."
The mace, coated in jet-black Armament Haki, slammed into Black Zetsu's head. For a second, Black Zetsu's mind blanked. His rubber body failed him—Haki nullified it.
CRACK!
Thunder echoed as Black Zetsu was launched through the air. He smashed into the ground, skidding across the dirt in a smoking trail.
But the bastard wasn't done.
Like some indestructible cockroach, he staggered back up, hatred burning in his eyes. Zixu clicked his tongue. Had the guy really learned Haki mid-battle?
Meanwhile, beneath Madara's careful protection, the small tree was evolving. At its core, a blood-red Sharingan with nine tomoe began to glow. Ten small tails took shape around it—it was mutating fast.
Hatsuizumi hadn't listened. She'd left the City and Roran behind. But oddly enough, the two massive ships that once hovered in the skies had vanished. No one knew where they went.
Then came the swarm.
Black bugs flooded the battlefield like a living ocean, swarming everything in their path. Some were enormous—taller than two men—others were microscopic, invisible to the naked eye.
Their strange abilities exploded into view. Even Madara took a step back, keeping his guard up.
Obito was stunned. Some of the bugs had evolved a resistance to Kamui. Resistance to space distortion? That shouldn't be possible.
But adaptation took time, and time wasn't on their side. Madara and the others quickly launched their counterattack.
Flames roared across the battlefield, burning the swarms to ash. Only the uniquely gifted bugs survived—those with flame resistance or regenerative traits.
Hatsuizumi didn't flinch. A strange fungal mat had silently spread across the ground, absorbing the burnt insects. The energy was recycled, feeding a new generation.
It was an endless cycle. Death. Rebirth. Repeat.
Zixu gave Hatsuizumi a nod. She had his back. As for Sky City and Roran, Chinano and the others would handle that.
Black Zetsu came at him again. Still standing. Still evolving.
Zixu's eyes narrowed. The guy was getting better—he could even block a few Haki-infused attacks now.
"This bastard can't be left alive..."
The blood-red steam returned, hissing out from Zixu like a roaring engine. He burned his own flesh and blood for one thing: power.
The oppressive force that followed was suffocating. It crushed the very stones beneath his feet as he charged Black Zetsu once more.
A blood-red dragon exploded to life behind him, formed from sheer will and chakra. It bared its fangs and roared, shaking the skies.
BOOM!
The resulting shockwave struck like a hurricane, blasting Black Zetsu off his feet and carving a massive trench through the earth.
"How... how is this possible?" Black Zetsu gasped, stunned.
Never—never—had he imagined being on the receiving end of such overwhelming force. Even in the direst of battles, he'd never felt this helpless.
He'd always believed he was on par with the strongest—maybe not the best, but close enough. But now?
Now, he realized he was wrong.
This wasn't just strength. It was will. Pressure. A crushing force that didn't just hurt his body—it made him afraid to fight back.
It felt like Zixu could tear space itself in half.
"Destiny?" Zixu scoffed, staring him down with eyes like fire. "Heh... screw destiny."
