Naruto: Dual-Pupil Uchiha-Chapter 555 - 554 : Sarutobi vs Uchiha!!

"Yesterday, I received an order from the Third Hokage to join the Chunin Exams as an examiner, so... I won’t be able to take you with me for now!"

Kurenai looked at Genya and the others with a hint of apology, her face showing both guilt and helplessness.

Then he refocused on her and asked, "So, Sensei, are you going to report now, or come with us first?"

"I’ll come with you first," Kurenai nodded and continued, "They didn’t even tell me what time I needed to report."

"Haha... fair enough," Genya laughed.

They exchanged a glance and then headed toward the area managed by the Sarutobi Police Forces.

Because the people reported missing had all disappeared within the Sarutobi Police Force’s jurisdiction, it made sense for them to investigate there.

At the border between the Uchiha and Sarutobi Police Force divisions, someone from the Sarutobi clan was standing watch, seemingly unwilling to let anyone pass.

The Police Forces were extremely strict.

"Huh? Police Forces here too?" Shino Aburame was shocked. His home was just over there, and he had never seen anyone guarding the border like this before.

"Just because people went missing in our territory doesn’t mean it happened there! I could say people went missing in your territory too. Izumi Uchiha, don’t make baseless claims!"

Eisuke’s words were flawless, carefully avoiding any admission that the missing people were their responsibility.

He was deflecting entirely.

"You’re lying! None of your people went missing in our territory. Our people went missing in your jurisdiction!" Izumi shouted angrily at Eisuke.

She was truly furious at their shamelessness.

Eisuke had no intention of letting them investigate. He simply wanted to deny everything.

"Our people went missing in your territory. Are you seriously not going to let us investigate?" Izumi finished speaking and prepared to push forward.

"Why, Uchiha Izumi, do you want to forcibly enter the area under our control?" Sarutobi Eisuke looked at Izumi, who was about to move forward, and quickly stepped in to block her.

"Have you forgotten? Back then, your clan and the Sarutobi clan each agreed to control a territory. And now you want to force your way through?" 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

Sarutobi Eisuke did not yield an inch.

"We just want to investigate the missing persons!" Uchiha Izumi snapped, still too young compared to Eisuke.

Especially against the unreasonable Eisuke—not that he was unreasonable, but Sarutobi Hiruzen had deliberately ordered this blockade.

"I don’t care why you’ve come to investigate. If you Uchiha want to cross the boundary, then let Uchiha Kinya come personally and speak to me!" Sarutobi Eisuke remained unyielding, even pressing forward aggressively.

"You?" Eisuke first let out a light laugh, but then realization struck. Back when Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Kinya split the clan, Uchiha Genya had become the leader of the Police Force!

But recently, Uchiha Genya had hardly been in the spotlight, with all attention going to Uchiha Kinya. So the first person Eisuke thought of was naturally Uchiha Kinya.

"Then you came at just the right time!" Sarutobi Eisuke reacted and finally looked at Uchiha Genya as he continued, "We agreed back then to each manage our own area. Your people want to force their way in here—what exactly do they want to do?"
