Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 183 - One Hundred And Eighty-Three:It’s Time For A Change.
Suncity, Mainland.
Singh’s Family House.
~~~
Alex hasn’t been able to sleep, his mind has been a haywire of thoughts akin to the sort of lifestyle he had lived in the past five years. Truly, he has come to terms that he was a bad man and father to his son. Therefore, Adrik taking Polina away from him doesn’t seem like a bad thing.
Come to think of it, if Nelson hasn’t come into his life a second time he knows that he’s not going to change, not even if polina wakes up. It’s still going to be the same way everything has been going.
So, in order to liberate himself, since truly there’s another dimension out there that includes Angels and demons. Alex didn’t need anyone to tell him that if he mistakenly dies, then definitely Lucifer is going to eat his wicked soul, because that’s where he belongs, in hell if he doesn’t change his ways.
So, for a start in his plans of turning a new life, He has sent for his political strategist, George, and in no time the knock on his door proved that he was here, he gave the consent to allow him in before he sat up from his seat, approaching George to welcome him.
"S.. sir, good morning." George had to force a smile in his face remembering how cruel of a man he was, but then something seemed different with him and when he patted his hands he was holding for a handshake, it made him pull his glasses up closely to his eyes to be sure that he’s the one doing this.
This acting didn’t go unnoticed by Cain, who hasn’t been able to have a discussion with him alone about where their next stop was, seeing as there has been big changes in the family.
The changes that he couldn’t bear, because unlike the former Adrian, who was learning how to act around him and stuff. This new side of him had a whole lot of confidence that in no time soon, he would pay him back for urging his father to treat him like a slave rather than his son.
"How’s your family, George?" Alex asked, with a clean conscience but instantly at the mention of his wife and son, George turned white and he started to think hard about making a mistake that would warrant this question.
This man had threatened to hurt his family if things didn’t go as he planned with his political career, he didn’t recall doing anything that might have made him remember his promise until something clicked and he gulped nervously.
Nelson Singh.
This is about his son, he had hired his best men to go lowkey in search of his son, but none of them has been able to give him any important information back, about their assignment and now he’s going to lose his family.
"Actually sir..." He tried talking but was interrupted by Cain placing his hand on his shoulder.
"Relax." He said with that ruthless smirk on his face, that didn’t give any indication that he was a good man, unlike his boss. Cain creeps him alot but that doesn’t mean that he’s actually choosing a side between the both of them, in who was crueler because they are not good people.
"Please sit, George. I am not intending to harm you or your family, I just want to talk to you." Alex with a smile, before giving Caina a signal to stop scaring the man, to which he waited at his position at the door side while he focused on George.
"First and foremost, I would like to apologize for the way i have been treating you, I had things going on but now i am a changed man, so i would like you to accept my apologies and continue to work with me with a free heart." Alex said simply, although George was too shocked to reciprocate what he was asking for but the man allowed him to take all the time he wanted.
"Sir..sir, I.." George stuttered, not actually knowing where to start. Apart from Alex being a cruel man and keeping a tight lease around everyone. He could confess that he’s a generous person who doesn’t repent to show his appreciation towards those who work for him.
He could still remember vividly, the day he had come through for him when his son was having a surgery. The bills were piled up but then he cleared all of that, thereby buying his submission to him although he’s a tyrant, but then he’s still submissive to him.
"It’s okay, you can take all the time you want. I’m not in a rush, and i also want to celebrate with you, my son has been found. So you can aswell focus more on planing my campaigns."
"Congratulations sir."George said, a relief washing through him, before a gift was dropped in front of him by Cain, who stepped away from him just like Alex had ordered.
"A two day trip with your family to the Maldives has been sorted out by me. This is my way of showing appreciation for your hard work, Cain would take you up on the rest about the traveling arrangements, I hope when you are back. You can actually give me an answer asper my apology." Alex said standing up, as he did the same too.
He was too shocked to understand how fast everything was moving, what happens to this man?
He can’t just repent over the nights just because of his son’s arrival, but anyway he didn’t want to involve himself in his family issue. His wife has been complaining about him stressing himself out with his work, and a trip to the Maldives isn’t a bad idea.
George only prayed that whatever caused this change in him, should make it stay this way.Life would be easier for him and the rest of them as well.
"Thank you sir, thank you." George thanked him, to which he told him to excuse him, before the door was closed leaving him with Cain.
"Sir..." Cain wanted to talk but he raised his hands up immediately silencing him.
"I want to change, Cain and it’s also time you do so too." He stood him, making the young man bow his head in shame, because he knew that what he was saying was the truth.
But the knock on the door made them both look up, to see the maid announce that breakfast has been served, then did it come to Alex’s mind that he’s soon going to see Camille, his next daughter in-law.
"Adrian." He mutter under his breath before leaving for the dining room.
