Mythology Rebooted-Chapter 1329 - 444: Darkness Returns
Chapter 1329: Chapter 444: Darkness Returns
Auga retained the memories of Sercy, a human female, after reincarnation. Auga predominates, with Sercy as secondary. The thirty years of human memories and the infinite memories of an Angel are not proportional. If washed randomly, Sercy goes with the flow, shattered under the sweep of vast memories.
Sercy merges into Auga, and after a process of elimination, only the common-sense memories remain.
They were retained, but not much was kept.
Faced with Wayne’s request to display the Stigmata, Auga didn’t find it strange. What ill intentions could Archangel Hexuno have? It was merely to poach her, wanting her to betray her former leader, Archangel Michael.
Thinking of this, Auga hesitated, fiddling with the hem of her robe, and whispered: "Archangel Hexuno, the Stigmata can be seen, but please don’t modify it. I am loyal to the Archangel, and if possible, I wish to serve under him forever."
What kind of thing, can the Stigmata really be modified?
Wayne’s eyes lit up. Now he had to take a look, and not just him; he had to bring Hexuno along to study it.
Unfortunately, it couldn’t be seen.
Chris laughed softly and patted Wayne on the shoulder, telling him to curb his irreverent demeanor. Saying this, she and Viley walked toward the backyard.
The Valkyrie returned to flesh and blood, no longer the lifelike Knight Armor. The Divine Blood used to reshape her body was so noble that she acquired some special abilities.
For example, reducing Ah Xue’s sentence, restoring the majestic lion image.
In the backyard is a golden lion. Isn’t this more impressive than the golden-haired Angel?
"What’s so impressive about a golden lion? Gold-colored thread tops it a hundred times!" Wayne muttered softly.
"Archangel, the Stigmata of the Michael Angel Legion is nothing to look at. You should look at the Stigmata of your own legion." Heya puffed her chest and stood horizontally in front of Auga.
Wayne glanced at Heya’s chest. Speaking of which, he hadn’t observed Heya’s Stigmata closely. Being a leader and not caring for subordinates is a major workplace taboo.
But seeing Heya’s face full of loyalty, Wayne immediately quashed any impure thoughts. This loyalty was for Hexuno, not for him. Deceiving others might work, but deceiving himself wouldn’t.
"Boring, suddenly I don’t want to see it anymore." Wayne waved his hand and walked past Auga and Heya towards Hexuno.
"It’s all your fault, insisting on loyalty to Archangel Michael, ruining the Archangel’s mood. He was planning to take you in." Heya scolded Auga without good humor.
Auga sighed, feeling unloved and unwanted, just wanting to find a place to settle down. Being a Seraph is really too hard.
The silent sigh was deafening, expressing the resignation of a Seraph, causing Heya to sigh along with the lament.
She patted Auga’s shoulder: "You’ve seen Archangel Michael’s actions. You’re just a discarded pawn. Your loyalty is meaningless. Right now, only the Archangel is willing to take you in. Consider who is worthy of respect!"
Auga showed a bitter expression, repeating the words: being a Seraph is too difficult.
Wayne plopped onto the sofa, watching Hexuno kneel in prayer. He chuckled: "Heya told me about the meeting’s situation. I remember warning you not to spread rumors randomly. You’ve defied orders, so you must have made preparations for punishment."
"Lord Son of the Holy, if you are not the Saint Heir, then my actions do not constitute defiance. If you punish me, it’s equivalent to admitting that you are the Saint Heir."
Hexuno closed his eyes tightly, fists clenched in front of his chest, a pious posture, speaking with a sacred tone, indeed enlightened by some realization.
"Oh, daring to speak this way to the Saint Heir, Archangel, what authority you have!"
"Lord Son of the Holy, are you admitting it?"
"What good is it if I admit it? Who would believe?"
Wayne cheerfully crossed his legs and lounged on the sofa: "Hexuno, as you can see, Uriel and the others don’t believe I’m the Saint Heir. They never did before, and they never will. Stop wasting time convincing them. With this idle time, quickly go find the real Saint Heir, lest Pride and Michael beat you to it."
Auga stood behind Wayne with Heya, given a temporary bodyguard role. New here, she couldn’t understand what the Archangel and the secretary were playing at.
"This is called role-playing. The little secretary plays the Archangel, and the Archangel plays the part of a pervy rogue shaming purity, got it?" Heya said feebly.
She also wanted to play the Archangel but couldn’t find a way, usually tasked with guarding the door.
Seraphs fare worse than humans; it’s truly uninteresting.
Auga shook her head in confusion. Neither Heaven’s memories nor the Mortal World’s memories held any concept of role-playing.
"I knew you wouldn’t get it. Learn well in the future."
Listening to the conversation behind him, Wayne touched his chin without words. He and Hexuno had stopped acting, yet Heya remained stubbornly naive. Call her brainless, but she’s extremely loyal.
If anything, faith makes people firm; religion makes people ignorant.
Be it Heya, Hexuno, or even the new Auga, they are poisoned by something called ’Heaven.’
"Hexuno, in a few days, I need to go on a journey."
"Is there another Devil descending?"
Hexuno opened his eyes, and Heya and Auga’s expressions became slightly grave.
"No, it has nothing to do with the Devil. I met the two Goddesses of the Sun and Moonlight today; we had a delightful conversation and settled a small business deal. I need to go on a trip to collect payment."
"Lord Son of the Holy, you said the same last time, but ended up encountering a Devil."
Hexuno shook his head slightly, smiling as he said: "Now it seems only Goddesses can have such pleasant conversations with you. This is surely yet another solid proof that you are indeed the Saint Heir. Do you have any more denials?"
