Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast-Chapter 692: World-Destroying Furnace, Titan-Level Giant (II)
Chapter 692: World-Destroying Furnace, Titan-Level Giant (II)
The Silver Colossal Dragon flew up to the Destructive Dragon Emperor, roaring with anticipation. Roar! Ao Tian, this time, let the great Saixitia lead the way!
As a colossal beast proficient in high-level spatial laws, the Silver Dragon could navigate through these spatial rifts with ease. Seeing this, the Dragon Emperor gave a slight nod.
Roar! Charge! The Silver Dragon let out an excited roar, plunging into the meteor field like a child who had found a new toy.
Boom!
A powerful spatial fluctuation erupted from the Silver Dragon, releasing silver, transparent waves that rippled through the air.
Wherever the spatial waves passed, the black rifts vanished, and the violent turbulence gradually calmed, forming a stable zone spanning ten kilometers.
Following behind the Silver Dragon, the three colossal beasts soared across the meteor field, covering more than a hundred kilometers before finally reaching their target.
Ahead of them, the ground had split apart, forming a thousand-kilometer-long chasm of unknown depth. At the edge of this abyssal fault, a gigantic spatial rift—a kilometer tall and over ten kilometers wide—hovered ominously in the air.
Blazing, dark-red magma churned violently within, spewing searing flames that illuminated the surroundings with fiery radiance.
It was a magma-filled spatial layer, different from a bubble-like micro-world. This was a fragment of a shattered great world, a layered dimension formed under special conditions after the destruction of a larger world.
The Kunpeng swished its tail and let out an excited squeak. Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! Saixitia, the treasure is inside!
The Silver Dragon flew to the edge of the massive rift, its ferocious dragon head poking inside as it scanned the surroundings. After a moment of observation, it turned back in confusion. Roar! Big Horn, I don’t see any treasure?
Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! It's behind that mountain, I can smell it!
The Kunpeng lightly flapped its wings, pointing toward the far end of the magma world. About two hundred kilometers away lay a black mountain range, obscuring their vision.
Roar! That far in, huh? For the Silver Dragon, whose attributes aligned with space and ice storms, this magma-dominated world was inherently unpleasant. The oppressive heat weakened its storm and frost-based powers to some extent.
The Dragon Emperor strode forward with heavy steps, letting out a low growl. Roar! I can sense a faint aura of a titan-level colossal beast. Be careful.
At once, the other three beasts grew serious. A titan-level colossal beast residing in this magma-filled dimensional layer was a dangerous revelation.
Boom!
A black dragon claw, thick as a mountain pillar, plunged into the sea of magma, sending a storm of fiery sparks into the air. Its massive front paw sank over two hundred meters before finally touching solid ground.
The black-and-red colossal beast and Qiongqi waded through the magma ocean, leaving behind rolling white shockwaves and tsunamis. Above them, the Kunpeng and the Silver Dragon spread their wings, flying overhead.
It wasn’t long before the four colossal beasts traversed the two-hundred-kilometer distance, reaching the base of the black mountain range.
Two towering peaks, each over ten thousand meters tall, stood on either side. Between them flowed a river of magma several kilometers wide, its fiery current feeding directly into the ocean beneath the Dragon Emperor’s feet.
At the magma river’s edge, a three-hundred-meter-tall creature stood motionless. Its entire body was forged from rough black stone, with deep cracks running across its surface, through which molten magma oozed like veins of fire.
A brilliant golden-red aura radiated from the magma giant, its intense heat distorting the air around it as it exuded the peak aura of level 9.
The magma giant glared at the four colossal beasts with battle-ready ferocity, its flame-lit mouth opening as it let out a violent roar. Roar! Intrude—
Boom!
Before the giant could even finish speaking, the space above its head twisted violently. A massive silver dragon claw materialized out of thin air, within which a hundred-meter-wide white vortex spun ominously.
The magma giant’s body abruptly sank, and the ground beneath its feet cracked apart for hundreds of meters.
Under the immense force of spatial suppression, the giant barely had time to let out an outraged roar before it was crushed like an insect trapped beneath a lake’s surface.
Boom!
Imbued with the absolute power of ice laws, the quasi-mythical magma giant was instantly frozen. Its internal flames were extinguished, and its entire body shattered into countless black stone fragments, some spanning several meters, others merely pebbles.
It was an instant kill. As a mythical colossal beast mastering two high-level laws, the Silver Dragon wielded absolute dominance over lifeforms beneath its level.
Witnessing this display of power, the Kunpeng instinctively shrunk its neck, feeling a tinge of fear. After all, it was only quasi-mythical level, which meant that the Silver Dragon could just as easily crush it with a single claw.
Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! Saixitia, you’re amazing! Too powerful!
Hearing the Kunpeng’s flattering words, the Silver Dragon grinned with a smug, almost human-like expression. Retracting its left claw from the silver vortex, it turned its gaze toward the black-and-red colossal beast.
The Dragon Emperor gave a slow nod, letting out a deep growl. Roar! Saixitia, your control over space is getting stronger.
Roar! Of course! The great Saixitia is invincible! The Silver Dragon lifted its tail high, clearly thrilled by the praise.
The Dragon Emperor stepped out of the magma ocean, its heavy footfalls shaking the land. It approached the magma giant’s remains, its massive eyes scanning the wreckage.
There was no flesh or blood, only a pile of shattered black stones, their surfaces coated in lingering white frost. Some of the black stones bore ancient rune-like patterns, hinting at some kind of residual power.
However, the most striking discovery lay at the center of the giant’s chest—a three-meter-wide crimson crystal, within which dark-red molten energy swirled like flowing magma.
Upon seeing the red crystal, the Kunpeng let out an excited squeak. Squeak! Thunder Fiery! This is the treasure I sensed!
It's this crystal. The Dragon Emperor paused for a moment. It had originally assumed that the Kunpeng had detected some kind of natural treasure—one of the magma world’s unique resources. It hadn’t expected this to be the treasure.
Sensing the pulsing energy waves within the red crystal, the Dragon Emperor extended its right claw. Its two enormous black talons, each dozens of meters long, carefully pinched the crystal, lifting it from the magma giant’s remains.
For the Dragon Emperor, which was over 1,400 meters long, a 3-meter crystal was no different from a grain of sand.
Yet the moment it swallowed the crystal, a surge of scorching energy exploded within its body. Wherever the energy passed, its cells absorbed it hungrily, triggering rapid division and growth.
Crack! Crack!
The Dragon Emperor’s scales briefly stretched apart, as its body expanded ever so slightly, growing by approximately five centimeters.
Though this growth seemed insignificant, for the Dragon Emperor, consuming the flesh of a quasi-mythical-level colossal beast was barely enough to replenish its energy expenditure, let alone contribute to actual growth.
However, as it carefully analyzed the energy released by the crystal, a flicker of surprise flashed through its eyes.
This crystal was highly unique—not only did it contain a vast and overwhelming amount of energy, but it also carried a rich life-energy aura, pure and untainted.
These magma giants didn’t seem like ordinary colossal beasts. Rather, they resembled energy collectors and purifiers, absorbing the world's energy, refining it, then storing and compressing it into these crystals.
Raising its gaze toward the distant mountains, the Dragon Emperor activated its incredible eyesight, peering through the scorched and partially melted black stone. It vaguely detected traces of ruins—remnants of structures long past.
A thoughtful expression flickered in its eyes.
After traveling hundreds of thousands of kilometers deep into the Chaotic Region, the Dragon Emperor had noticed that the transcendent energy of this world had become increasingly violent.
However, this violence wasn’t due to the chaotic nature of the energy itself, but rather the disordered state of the laws of heaven and earth, creating a unique force—something akin to a law in its own right.
Any creature that absorbed this wild energy would experience mental and spiritual changes, becoming more violent, bloodthirsty, and frenzied over time. This influence was silent and inescapable; even mythical colossal beasts were unable to resist its effects.
This was precisely why the Silver Dragon’s mother, at the peak of the titan level, had warned against staying here for too long before they entered.
Even the Silver Dragon, the Kunpeng, and Qiongqi had begun to exhibit signs of increased aggression after just a few days in the Chaotic Region.
However, perhaps due to its heavenly-tier lifeform nature, the Dragon Emperor found that its consciousness and thoughts remained unaffected—as calm and rational as ever.
