Myth Beyond Heaven-Chapter 2681: Time Stream (2)
"This stone..." Yun Lintian began, his voice laced with awe and curiosity.
"It is a fragment of a fallen star," Yue Yun explained, her eyes gleaming with a hint of nostalgia. "A star that once illuminated the heavens of that timeline, its light a beacon of hope and prosperity. Though it has long since perished, its essence remains, a testament to the boundless potential of that world."
She paused for a moment, her gaze fixed on Yun Lintian. "This stone will guide you. It will lead you to a timeline where you can gain the strength you need to face the challenges that await you."
Yun Lintian nodded slowly, his heart filled with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. He had never thought that there would be such a way to increase his strength.
"How did you get this stone?" Yun Lintian asked curiously.
Yue Yun smiled faintly and said, "It doesn’t matter. What matters is that you can use it to go to that timeline and enhance your strength."
Yun Lintian frowned slightly, but he didn’t ask further. He could roughly guess that it was related to Yue Yun’s origin.
"The timeline you are going to is in its early era. The Primordial Gods over there are still managing the entire Primal Chaos, and they don’t seem to know about the crisis that’s coming. You must avoid the God of Time at all costs and secretly contact the other Primordial Gods," Yue Yun explained, her voice steady and clear.
Yun Lintian nodded slowly, his mind absorbing the information. "Tell me more about the Primordial Gods there."
Yue Yun nodded and began to explain. "There are twelve Primordial Gods in that timeline, each with their own unique powers and domains. One of them is, naturally, the God of Time. However, unlike the ones we know, these Primordial Gods seem to be unaware of the impending crisis. Or perhaps, they are simply choosing to ignore it."
She paused for a moment, her gaze fixed on Yun Lintian. "The other eleven Primordial Gods are as follows: the God of Life, the God of Death, the God of Darkness, the God of Light, the God of Space, the God of Order, the God of Balance, the God of War, the Sun God, the Moon God, and the Star God."
"Each one possesses immense power and influence, their actions shaping the destiny of their world. You must tread carefully. Seek out their aid, but be wary of their motives. Not all of them may be willing to help you, and some may even pose a threat to your mission."
Yue Yun spoke further. "Among them, you can unconditionally trust the Goddess of Life. She is similar to your mother; the origins of their power are the same. Perhaps she will be the one who notices your presence. Other than that, you must carefully judge them yourself."
Yun Lintian nodded slowly. It seemed this timeline was similar to his current timeline. The Primordial Gods were roughly the same.
"I don’t know if I can fight them head-on with my current strength. After all, I have never truly fought a prime Primordial God before," Yun Lintian said with a frown.
Once he decided to attack them, the commotion would undoubtedly arouse the other Primordial Gods’ suspicions. The God of Time would notice his presence by then, and Yun Lintian had no way to guarantee he could do it secretly.
"Your worries are unnecessary," Yue Yun rolled her eyes at Yun Lintian. "You underestimate yourself. You possess the Beyond Heaven Profound Vein, a unique physique capable of absorbing and refining even the most potent energies. In that timeline, the Primordial Era is still in its early stages, and countless treasures and resources remain untouched. With your physique, you can easily consume these treasures and rapidly increase your strength."
She paused for a moment, her gaze fixed on Yun Lintian. "Don’t forget, you are not merely a cultivator. You have the potential to surpass even the Primordial Gods and become the strongest being in existence. Stop doubting yourself constantly."

Yun Lintian smiled wryly. It wasn’t that he underestimated himself, but it was his old habit to think of the worst-case scenario ahead of time. After all, he truly had no idea how to silently contact a Primordial God without alerting the others.
What Yue Yun had just said made Yun Lintian excited. In the early Primordial Era of that timeline, countless treasures and resources would be ripe for the taking. With his physique, he could easily consume these treasures and rapidly increase his strength, perhaps even surpassing the Primordial Gods of that timeline.
"I understand," Yun Lintian nodded slowly. "But what would happen if I took out all of the Primordial Gods there?"
"Of course, that world would lose its balance," Yue Yun said calmly. "Chaos would descend, but it wouldn’t last long. A new generation of powerful beings would eventually fill the gap, just like in our timeline here."
Yun Lintian furrowed his brow slightly. "Messing with timelines is indeed a complicated matter. I have to think about it carefully when I go there."
"What do you think Nian Shi has been doing all this time?" Yue Yun asked with a cold smile. "Do you think he’s playing around? You have no idea how many worlds he has destroyed. You have no idea how many timelines he has messed up and how many innocent lives have been destroyed along the way."
Yun Lintian fell silent upon hearing this. Honestly, he had no idea, but he could guess.
"Among the so-called Chaos Knights you have met, many of them came from other timelines. They were brought here by Nian Shi. Otherwise, it would be impossible for him to raise such an elite army in just a few eons," Yue Yun said further, her expression softening as she was aware of Yun Lintian’s ignorance. After all, Yun Lintian had never truly experienced the tragedy of an entire timeline collapsing.
Yun Lintian took a deep breath and said solemnly, "I understand. I will do everything to improve myself."
He had finally made up his mind. Even if he had to commit a crime, he must do it to improve his strength as soon as possible. He would no longer be softhearted.
"Good. You should have been like this a long time ago," Yue Yun said calmly.
"How can I use it?" Yun Lintian asked as he looked at the colorful stone in her hand.
"Follow me," Yue Yun said and stood up, walking out of the room. Enjoy exclusive content from novelbuddy
