Chapter 100: Ancient King of the Treants

At this moment, Elynn spoke up again. "Our Emerald Castle commands an incredibly powerful army! And among all the heroes of Emerald Castle, I’m actually the weakest one!"

"Elynn, you’re the weakest?!"

"No way! How’s that even possible?!"

Eldorin and Bromir froze for a second, then their faces filled with shock and disbelief.

Elynn’s strength was clearly on par with theirs—maybe even stronger! In other words, if they really went to Emerald Castle, they’d probably rank behind Elynn. But now?

Now Elynn was actually claiming she was the weakest among all the Emerald Castle heroes?!

How...how could that possibly be true?!

Elynn, however, didn’t say another word, quietly returning to silence. She knew her limits. Some things only needed to be said once. After all, Ethan was here, and she wouldn’t dare undermine his authority by acting on her own.

Meanwhile, Eldorin and Bromir stood stunned and speechless for a long moment before exchanging glances. Finally, they bowed their heads respectfully toward Ethan. "Lord Ethan, please forgive our ignorance."

"You’ll understand once you see it for yourselves," Ethan chuckled lightly, clearly not bothered by their reaction. "If you’re willing to pledge your loyalty to me, let’s start by signing a simple contract."

"Of course..."

This time, Eldorin and Bromir didn’t hesitate or waste any more words. They immediately signed the pledge of allegiance to Ethan.

"Ding!"

"Congratulations, player Valkarion! You’ve successfully gained the allegiance of Ancient Treant heroes Eldorin and Bromir. Contract established."

As the system notification sounded, Ethan saw Eldorin and Bromir’s attribute panels appear before him.

Overall Evaluation: Grade D Orange Legendary Hero!

"A Legendary Orange-tier hero?!"

Ethan stared at Eldorin’s stats panel, momentarily stunned. He hadn’t expected Eldorin to actually be an Orange Legendary hero!

Normally, heroes from standard Tier-10 units were almost always Purple Epic heroes. Only heroes from special hidden Tier-10 units had a decent chance of becoming Orange Legendary heroes.

For a hero from a regular Tier-10 unit to reach Orange Legendary status was incredibly rare—practically like winning the lottery!

Even though Eldorin was only at the lowest sub-tier—Grade D—he was still an Orange Legendary hero! The quality alone spoke volumes about his value.

"Damn, my luck’s pretty good today..." Ethan muttered, carefully examining Eldorin’s stats again.

Then he was surprised once more!

Not only was Eldorin a hybrid hero like Cicero—capable of both magic and melee combat—but he was also a logistics-type hero!

"This guy’s a real gem," Ethan murmured excitedly.

In the world of Glory Lords X, most heroes specialized in just one area—defense, logistics, administration, offense, or magic. Heroes proficient in two areas were already rare enough, but a hero excelling in three areas? That was practically unheard of—a national treasure!

Perhaps this was exactly why the system had rated Eldorin as an Orange Legendary hero. After all, even Elynn, who was a special hidden Tier-10 hero, was "only" an SSS-grade Purple Epic hero.

SSS-grade Purple Epic versus Grade D Orange Legendary—though it seemed like just a small step, the actual difference was huge!

Realizing this, Ethan suddenly found Eldorin much more pleasing to the eye.

"Eldorin, I’m looking forward to seeing your performance from now on," Ethan said with a smile.

"It’s my honor to serve under you, my lord!" Eldorin replied humbly.

Ethan then turned his attention to the other Ancient Treant hero—Bromir.

[Bromir Doral]

Level: 38

Race: Ancient Treant (Treant)

Tier: Purple Epic Hero

Hero Class: Treant Berserker

Attack: 113 (167)

Defense: 72 (126)

Spell Power: 7 (12)

Knowledge: 11 (17)

HP: 6000

Damage: 164~226

Hero Skills: Offense, Armorer...

Hero Talents:

Entangling Roots (Roots himself in place, unleashing massive roots to whip enemies, dealing powerful area-of-effect damage!)

Berserker’s Wrath (Enters a berserk state, increasing Attack by 40 points but reducing Defense by 20 points for ten minutes. Afterward, suffers weakness for three to ten days.)

Verdant Warcry (Upon entering battle, increases Attack and Defense of Tier-9 Treant Guards and Tier-10 Ancient Treant Soldiers by 10 points each, and their HP by 10%. Can be upgraded.)

Overall Evaluation: Grade S Purple Epic Hero.

Compared to Eldorin, Bromir’s stats were much more straightforward and typical. Clearly, he was a pure combat hero, perfect for charging into the front lines—a fierce warrior.

But compared to Eldorin’s triple-specialization, Bromir’s value was obviously lower, hence the system rated him as "only" an S-grade Purple Epic hero.

Still, this was already quite impressive.

After all, expecting every hero to be Orange Legendary or even Crimson Ultimate was just wishful thinking—completely unrealistic.

In fact, whether in ordinary kingdoms or powerful empires, the mainstream heroes were usually Blue Rare or even White Common. Purple Epic heroes—especially S-grade ones—could easily rank among the mid-to-upper tiers.

As for the player community, it went without saying. Forget S-grade Purple Epic heroes—even A-grade or B-grade Purple Epic heroes were incredibly rare among players.

Thinking of this, Ethan politely praised Bromir as well.

Then he turned to Elynn and said, "Elynn, stay here and recruit all the Tier-9 Treant Guards and Tier-10 Ancient Treant Soldiers in the area. Afterward, work with Eldorin and Bromir to compile all the intel we’ve gathered about The Lost Realms and the underground factions. We’ll hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss everything."

"Yes, Master!" Elynn immediately replied.

"Understood!"

"Got it, my lord!"

Eldorin and Bromir nodded respectfully. Soon after, under the humble and respectful gazes of Elynn, Eldorin, and Bromir, Ethan mounted his Tier-12 Wyvern Monarch and left Gleaming Forest, heading back toward Emerald Castle.

Time flew by quickly, and before long, a full day had passed.
