Myriad Devils-Chapter 282: Heaven Drowning Blood Calamity
Usually, when Elshen and Ancestor Green visited the restaurant, they would share their meals over a table made of cosmic marbles.
However, Ancestor Green stood outside the room, menacingly.
Inside, Realm Father Elshen and Heaven Drowning Blood Calamity sat opposite each other, sharing a plethora of dishes created by the World Cooking Lord himself.
Though Heaven Drowning Blood Calamity had the capability of staying somewhat sane after eating this food, he rarely, if ever, had the comforting wealth necessary to eat to his heart’s delight.
More importantly, when he did have such wealth, there were more pressing matters at hand. So this was only his second time experiencing the World Cooking Lord’s food.
Sigh...
"The first time I ate a meal cooked by the World Cooking Lord, the master had to seal me away for thirteen hundred years." Heaven Drowning Blood Calamity said with emotion.
He had long, white hair and pale eyes.
His skin was red, just like Shattering Blood, and any other member of the Red Elf lineage.
However, his pale eyes did not reveal any bloodthirst, and besides his skin color, his mannerisms did not give away his true bloodline.
He was dressed in a plain white robe draped by a silver cape that showed the starry, cosmic space.
He appeared to be a very noble and likely prideful Elven creature, radiating both charisma and natural beauty.
"The master?" Elshen squinted his eyes at the mention of Savage Blood Emperor.
Obviously, this was the origin of Blood Calamity.
He was the Senior Disciple of Spilling World’s Blood School of Thought.
When saying Senior Disciple of the School of Thought in its entirety, it meant just that. No other disciple had a greater influence than he.
He was, in all intents and purposes, the Savage Blood Emperor’s direct disciple!
At the mention of his master, Blood Calamity sighed once more.
"Truthfully, when I heard of what you did to my junior brother, I immediately desired to experience your power," Blood Calamity said.
He was not angered by Shattering Blood’s death.
Who cared about him?
Anyway, at some point in the future, when Savage Blood Emperor moved on a whim, Shattering Blood would be revived.
As a disciple of the Dimension Lord, being killed really wasn’t scary.
After all, their past selves in the time flow of their material dimensions of origin were protected by the Savage Blood Emperor.
To kill them permanently, one needed to pass through the Savage Blood Emperor.
Across the Jade Vine Pure World, outside of the Ancient City Lords, who could do that without suffering?
So who was daring?!
"I grew excited for the appearance of the Purity Heaven Realm, where we could battle it out, but then the master said that you need to experience regret for provoking the one who should not be provoked, so I became sad and begged the master to forgive you."
Blood Calamity began monologuing.
"But the master said that you must suffer and be tormented, and the one who will torment you will be me, so I rejoiced, because it meant that we would have to clash."
"But then, the master said that I cannot play with you, and that I will be given a Supreme Armament, and cosmic treasures."
"I was immediately saddened once again, because I do not enjoy my battles when wielding those things."
"No one can last against me whenever I..."
Elshen raised his hand.
He was not going to sit over an enjoyable meal and listen to Blood Calamity’s sorrows.
Who did this soul think he was?
"Get out." Elshen indifferently said.
His eyes coldly pierced into Blood Calamity, and he even wondered whether he should burn him alive with his undying flame.
Blood Calamity sensed that Elshen had grown tired of his presence, and he showed a woeful expression, but he did not retort.
Rising to his feet, he took one last glance at the dishes on the table and sighed.
He had talked so much that he hadn’t gotten a taste of anything.
Glancing back at Elshen, his eyes expressed his unwillingness, but he was met with a detached pair of eyes that shone with an authoritative celestial light.
He was already inherently docile, and when the sensation to follow Elshen’s words entered his heart, Blood Calamity obediently exited the room, drowning in reluctance.
"Come in," Elshen said.
Blood Calamity’s emotions were instantly elevated.
Just as he turned around, however, he could only catch a glimpse of Ancestor Green already kneeling under the marble table, bobbing his head up and down before the door shut tightly.
.....
For otherworldly creatures, the years flowed by without notice.
A decade after the Realm Father Elshen rose to fame, the ancient city was swept away by a wave of excitement and greed.
Cosmos Forgers and Realm Fathers grew privy to the news of a cosmic fortuity that had shown signs of manifesting somewhere in the Barren Land of Old, relatively close to the city walls.
This was within a distance of three thousand miles from the ancient city; hence, it was extremely close, even within the Jade Vine Pure World, where cosmic providence restricted the destructiveness of otherworldly power that brought ruin to Mother Nature.
Many Cosmos Forgers and Realm Fathers began making preparations for this cosmic fortuity, greed filling their hearts.
This was the reason why those who were not born in an ancient city would make the sacrifice and take the risk of traversing the Barren Land of Old to come live in the ancient cities.
There would always come an opportunity for the growth of their cultivation path.
After a few years, waves upon waves of Cosmos Forgers and Realm Fathers departed from the ancient city and made their way to the location where the cosmic fortuity had begun manifesting into the Jade Vine Pure World.
However, since the news had first appeared, the many Schools of Thought had remained silent.
Not even one disciple was seen anywhere near this cosmic fortuity.
Much less near this cosmic fortuity, it was as if, when this news first appeared, the disciples of the many Schools of Thought completely disappeared from the face of the earth.
And this remained so for more than a decade...
