Myriad Devils-Chapter 232: Detaching oneself from Earth
"Fascinating, so very fascinating," the dimensional core was completely stunned by Anonβs existence. ππ£πππ°πππ§πΌπππ.π°π¨π¦
The Lightning Reckoning Orb analyzed every breath Anon took, attempting to peer into his most fundamental secrets.
Within this so familiar military academy, Anon felt some strangeness in his heart.
Mostly everything in this world, Earth, was manipulated by his father. Clearly, his father had not cared in the slightest to properly build the world he had come to experience.
βThe military academy was set up only for the assassination.β
βEverything else was meaningless, hence my father did not place much focus on anything else, limiting what I experienced as well.β
βSimilarly, only the benefits of the mind swallowing abyss were important, and the experiences within the Lost Lands were not the primary focus.β
βFather is simply too detached. My past experiences couldβve been much more extensive.β Though he thought this, there was a relaxed smile plastered across his face.
Within the academyβs manor, Jacob and Felix sat at one side, and Anon stood in the air, his outstretched wings hanging...
"But-!"
Jacob had only just exclaim out loud when Anon gently raised his hand, silencing him.
"You may be a destined Dimension Lord, but you can only fulfil such a destiny as an otherworldly creature. Your chances of becoming one with only third-world cultivation are very slim."
"And even if you do, there are strong and weak Dimension Lords."
"Much less whether you would be a strong one or a weak one, by the time you become one, even Dimension Lords will be nonentities before me."
Anon sighed; however, his face was expressionless, and his eyes lacked any emotional depth.
It was obvious to Felix and Jacob that this separation did not affect him as much as it affected them...
But who was the one before them?
Humanityβs Young Lord.
Even in the vaster world of the Cosmic Space, this Young Lord before them would be of noble status.
The very fact that he even alerted them to his departure was something that they could only cherish.
Anonβs eyes lit up.
"You wish to attempt otherworldly ascension with your current cultivation? Impossible and improbable."
Destiny unfolded before his eyes.
Before the others could retort, the dimensional core observed Anonβs next course of action, speechless.
"Your will is barely enough, but your soul is lacking."
"To succeed in spirit, flesh unity before the doors of death draws you in; every moment, youβd need to shatter your spirit into hundreds of billions of pieces."
Anon spoke casually, "Your spirit is too feeble, and your soul canβt support that."
"For the lengths that you were willing to go back then, I can reward you now," he declared.
The Principle of Destiny manifested as incomprehensible runes in the air.
"It is a rare event, yes; however, across the annals of cosmic history, many have succeeded in otherworldly ascension with third-world cultivation."
"For me, it is not difficult to alter your destiny."
Besides the very daunting fact that there was no one in the history of the Cosmic Space who succeeded in otherworldly ascension, the Principle of Destiny was not his fatherβs base principle.
Whatever power he held over it was limited.
More importantly, whether his father even used such a power to ease the difficulty of Anonβs otherworldly ascension or not was doubtful.
To make a third-world practitioner succeed in otherworldly ascension?
At most, Anon could assist him; however, Jacob already had the assistance of the Lightning Reckoning Orb, his great fortune...
Anonβs assistance practically etched his success in his ascension attempt in stone.
.....
The military academy also housed a little dungeon.
Anon made a momentary visit to this cold and damp location. Though this figure was caught up in the Human Lordβs scheme, he did not care.
Approaching an aged woman locked behind bars, he sarcastically wept out loud, "Iβm a very petty otherworldly creature."
His voice was incomprehensible in nature and could not be heard by mortals.
Similarly, his figure resided outside the bounds of a mortalβs imagination, so he could not be seen.
Finally, his existence had momentarily detached from the material dimensionβs time flow, so the world before him was almost stationary.
The military academyβs teacher before him had committed a great atrocity. Though no one remembered what this atrocity was, everyone, including herself, ignored this oddity.
Anon exhaled.
His crimson breath gently fell onto the elderly ladyβs body, leaving it unharmed. This was a breath that seeped into her soul.
What she experienced thereafter was difficult to describe.
This was a suffering that threaded this dimensionβs river of time. This was a misery that originated from the present and extended to the past. This was an agony that consumed her mind from birth, eating her soul away until the present time...
She was only a husk of her former self.
Her flesh and bones were chewed away, but it was her elderly soul that was drained.
This woman could not cry, nor scream, nor run.
She did not know when, how, or why.
Only misery befell her.
.....
The Blackridge district was named after an Otherworldly Warlord that originated from Earth, Otherworldly Warlord, Blackridge.
The Otherworldly Knights that established great families within the eighty districts would naturally be tied to the Otherworldly Warlord each district was named after.
The ten greater families were established from, or had relations with, the Human generals, or even the Human Lord himself.
However, at this point, earthly matters were insignificant.
In the Allmond household, the avatar of Warlord Blackridge and the head of the Allmond great family greeted a particularly distinguished guest.
The angelic human had a divine bearing; however, his intentions were anything but holy.
Amusement stirred in his heart as he said with a solemn expression, "I assume that thou knowest of thy reason for thine arrival?"
The head of the Allmond great family glanced at Warlord Blackridge. This was a man with large black pupils, like two abysses, and hair that cascaded down his back like a dark waterfall.
Blackridge voiced, "It is this oneβs greatest honor to be in the presence of humanityβs Young Lord; however, did you know... that child, Bolan, was my inheritor."
"Hmm." Anonβs lips curled with intrigue.
βIf I were to speak like that from now on, I would likely annoy quite some individuals,β he inwardly assessed.
Slowly focusing on the pair of otherworldly creatures before him, Anon doubtfully tilted his head and asked, "So, do you desire vengeance?"
Mentioning Bolan was self-explanatory, but Anon did not care to play along.
βI appeared here for one purpose,β he silently mused. Knitting his brows, he thought, βBut it could easily become three. Sadly, you all are too cowardly...β
Upon perceiving Anonβs hint, Warlord Blackridge revealed an awkward smile, "Naturally, I do not."
"Bolan was merely the only thing connecting me to the Young Lord, so I could only bring him up, though I hope you did not mind? Come, let me show you around..."
Anon sighed with a hint of disappointment.
"I allowed you guys to perceive me; naturally, I had my own intentions. How intelligent, youβve both passed..." Shaking his head, before their eyes, he seemingly disappeared.
The moment his wings quivered, Anonβs speed transcended what Warlord Blackridgeβs pitiful avatar could perceive.
A Realm Fatherβs avatar was, at most, comparable to a slightly strong Cosmic Forger.
Whether they were stunned or not, Anon did not care. He appeared before Catharina Allmondβs mother, a pitiful woman completely unaware of her detrimental situation.
Sigh~
Glancing back at the Allmond family manor, he couldnβt help but gaze at Cassius, the young master of the Allmond family.
This was a fellow who was looked down upon. His sister was more gifted; however, in the end, it was he who kept his life.
Unless the head of the Allmond family was willing to pay a hefty price, he would have no choice but to nurture his sole progeny.
Upon suffering from the power of the current Anon, his mortal wife was damned; however, it was still possible to revive his daughter, Catherina.
For an otherworldly creature, it was not difficult to interfere with the time flow of a material dimension, but this was the Holy Land, Earth...
This was the territory of the Human Lord, so he could not act so brazenly and would instead need to pay a hefty price to the Supreme Commander.
Anon was very pleased with the Allmond familyβs predicament.
He cheerfully pushed a handicapped young man along the sidewalk.
Though mortals wouldβve brushed past them, these two individuals appeared to exist in another world.
"Was that necessary?" Leren, Felixβs elder brother, met with Anonβs gaze. His light brown eyes attempted to read this Young Lord, but that was simply too difficult.
Instead, it was the other way around.
For Anon, it was not impossible to unearth the surface thoughts, intentions, and emotions of an unfathomable soul.
"Of course not. These mortals are naturally insignificant to an otherworldly creature such as myself," he replied.
Leren frowned, "So why?"
"Eternity is long, and most otherworldly creatures transcend desires and emotions." Anon dramatically sighed with false emotion.
He continued, "One can only stick to the nature of oneβs psyche when they were mortal, or else one runs the risk of seeing their will crumble due to the corroding nature of time."
"Even if it is due to this, and I am acknowledged as the pettiest otherworldly creature in the cosmic space, so what?
