My Young Husband, The Assasin-Chapter 75: Saki’s Abduction, Tetsuya’s Awakening
Chapter 75 - Saki's Abduction, Tetsuya's Awakening
Everyone in this world undoubtedly has problems. Whether those problems are big or small, light or heavy, depends on how someone faces them. Usually, every problem has a solution and an end, but according to Renji Ishikawa, must his entire life be filled with problems? Can't he live a peaceful and calm life like others?
Renji has a reason for thinking this way. In his life, problems always seem to find him, whether trivial or serious. There's always someone causing trouble for him as if it never ends. Why can't his life be like that of a normal teenager, enjoying his youth carefree? But what can he do? His fate is different from others because he is an Ishikawa and the leader of a major underworld group called Hayabusa.
Renji has resolved his problems one by one. For example, some time ago, he successfully eliminated Hiroshi Okada from the world, avenging all the grudges and heartache caused by Hiroshi's actions against the Ishikawa family and himself, which led to his family being slaughtered by his own older brother.
Renji thought that with Hiroshi gone, he could finally have some peace. But no. Now, he has to find a heart donor for Tetsuya if he doesn't want to see his cousin die from the congenital heart disease he's suffered from since childhood. Before Renji could even find a suitable heart donor for Tetsuya, a new problem arose.
Keiko, Aira's guard, informed Fujita that Ryoji's men had attacked the café and kidnapped Saki as bait to lure them to the Ishikawa mansion, as the white-haired man desired. Besides seeking revenge, there must be another reason why Ryoji would act so recklessly.
Honestly, Renji is starting to feel exhausted by all these problems. Everything recently has only strengthened his resolve to retire from the underworld.
He leaned his tired body back on the sofa, tilting his head upward and letting out a quick sigh. "Haah~" he exhaled wearily.
Aside from the problems he's currently facing, the eighteen-year-old's mind is also occupied with thoughts about his small family, especially his children's future. He doesn't want any of his children to experience what he went through—growing up filled with hatred and grudges and without a single day of peace before meeting Aira.
Renji doesn't want his children to suffer. He wants them to be happy and to grow up surrounded by love and affection.
'This will be the end of everything, Old man, Ryoji,' Renji thought, filled with hatred.
This should have been a happy time for him and Aira, as their first child was recently born. Renji hasn't had much time to spend with his child as a father because he's been busy with work and dealing with various parties who intend to harm his small family. Because of this, he's even had to involve his wife and child in his problems.
Aira hasn't fully recovered either; the pain from her cesarean surgery must still linger. But Renji had no choice but to take her and Ryuzaki away to seek refuge here, away from the clutches of his grandfather.
Fortunately, there's Aya, a doctor, and Tsuchihebi, the god of medicine, which makes Renji feel more at ease, entrusting Aira's care to the eccentric couple.
"Renji-kun"? Aira approached Renji, sitting on the sofa, deep in thought.
Ever since this morning, Aira hadn't felt right. Renji had been quieter than his usual self lately. Although he smiled, Aira could tell from the expression in his eyes that he was hiding sadness and a burden he couldn't share with her.
Renji then Said, "You seem to have got something a bit heavy on your steps." In all their marriage, this was the first time Aira had seen such a look on Renji's face. Naturally, as his wife, she felt sad and worried about his state and wanted to help him through his troubles or at least comfort him a little.
"Why aren't you asleep yet, honey?" Renji smiled faintly as he saw his wife walking toward him.
Aira sat down beside Renji, looking at him with deep concern.
"Are you worried about something, Renji-kun?" she asked fretfully, caressing his cheek to express affection.
Renji gave a slight smile and shook his head. "No, nothing. I couldn't sleep," he lied, attempting to protect the other end. He squeezed Aira's hand and kissed it briefly, giving her a weak smile.
It wasn't that Renji didn't trust Aira. Still, he didn't want to make her worry or burden her, especially since Aira had experienced prenatal depression during her pregnancy due to stress. He didn't want to add to her mental load, as it wouldn't be good for her mental health. Besides, as a husband, it was his duty to protect and care for his wife, not to make her sad or burden her with problems. Renji's reason for marrying Aira wasn't just because he loved her deeply—he also wanted to make her happy, not to make her suffer.
"If you don't want to discuss it, that's okay. I won't force you," Aira said softly, trying to understand Renji's situation.
There must be a reason behind Renji's silence, and Aira tried to understand. During their marriage, she had learned her husband's character, at least to some extent. Though she didn't fully understand everything, she was sure there was something on Renji's mind besides Tetsuya's problems. Still, she wouldn't force him to talk.
Renji rested his head comfortably on Aira's shoulder. He was truly exhausted, both physically and mentally. He needed support and encouragement, and thank goodness Aira was there. She made him feel slightly less uncomfortable.
I miss our home, honey," he murmured sadly, missing their sweet little house.
"So, are you homesick now?" Aira asked with a surprised and confused expression. She didn't expect Renji to miss home after all this time, especially since he often didn't come home due to work, leaving her alone.
"More accurately, I miss you—your touch," Renji said as his arms wrapped comfortably around Aira's waist.
Aira lightly hit Renji's shoulder. "I've just given birth, Renji-kun," she reproached, a note of embarrassment and annoyance rolling into her voice.
"I know," Renji replied.
"You're hopeless," Aira said, playfully pinching Renji's nose.
"Don't you miss me?" Renji asked in a whiny tone.
"Not really," Aira said flat and fast, in one blow, extinguishing Renji's hopes of being lovely.
"You're so mean and heartless," he said, sadly, disappointed. Aira snickered at Renji's response, never mind the fact he was a bit clingy.
"We've only been separated for a few hours, and you already miss me?" Aira teased affectionately.
Renji's face twisted mildly in sadness. "I would glue myself to you 24 hours a day if I could," he whined to his motherlike. Aira snickered, finding Renji's brutish clinginess amusing and endearing at the same time.
"Honey," Renji called softly.
"What?" Aira replied.
Renji said, his eyes looking puffy and sad, "I am tired."
Aira's warm hand lightly patted Renji's back. "Then rest. I'll look after you," Aira said tenderly.
A slight smile formed on Renji's handsome face. "I'm not a baby you must take care of," he insisted softly while Aira coddled him like a child.
"You are a baby—just a big baby who's so troublesome when you get clingy," Aira teased, already accustomed to Renji's clingy and overprotective behavior during their marriage.
Renji hugged Aira tightly. "Do you mind taking care of this big baby?" he whined, clearly needing his wife's warm affection.
"Of course not," Aira replied, returning Renji's embrace.
The two hugged for a minute, sharing warmth and their feelings. For Renji, holding his wife brought him peace, and the presence of the beautiful woman was exactly what he needed right now. His restlessness and unease vanished when he held Aira as if her presence was the cure for his troubles.

Out of all the plans that had been carried out so far, only this one had succeeded despite facing fierce resistance from the staff of Asahi Café. It was unexpected that some of them were skilled fighters, and the arrival of Keiko's assistance had caused Ryoji's men some trouble. After all, the capabilities and strength of these people were an order of magnitude worse than that of Ryoji himself, not to mention the members of the Ishikawa clan were all elite practitioners with extraordinary abilities. These were not people to be underestimated.
The girl with the full name Fujimoto Saki had earned Ryoji's admiration for her bravery—a rare trait among most girls, who would typically cry in fear if they were kidnapped like this. But not the girl with aquamarine eyes. Saki had put up a fight for several minutes in the car, though her efforts were futile. Still, it was enough to cause some trouble, so Ryoji sedated her to stop her from resisting further.
If Kaito hadn't specifically requested that Saki be brought alive to lure Tetsuya and Renji out of hiding, Saki's life would have already been taken, and her body would have been dismembered into several pieces. During this time, Ryoji would have then posted them off to Tetsuya as a small gift, what with Tetsuya's morbid hobby of turning the body parts of his victims into art.
To Ryoji, Tetsuya's cruelty lay close enough to his own. But there was one crucial difference: Tetsuya had some empathy for his foes, while Ryoji had none. Ryoji would kill the enemy before him, even if they were a young girl. Even if the enemy were a young girl, Ryoji would slaughter them without hesitation.
Saki's unconscious body, sedated by the drug, was thrown in front of Kaito by Ryoji as if she were a sack of rice rather than a human being. Kaito merely glanced coldly at her while sipping his tea.
Understanding his master's gaze, Ryoji explained and reported the successful completion of his task. "This girl is Fujimoto Saki," Ryoji clarified.
Kaito set down his teacup and looked at the unconscious girl with a cold, almost disgusted expression. She was still wearing her maid uniform, which suited her lowly status as a servant—far beneath his grandson, Tetsuya, who carried the bloodline of nobility.
"I thought her face would be so beautiful that it could make Tetsuya fall for her, but it turns out she's no better than the servants here," Kaito sneered, looking down on Saki's appearance, which he deemed plain and completely unattractive.
From what angle could Tetsuya have fallen head over heels for a low-status girl like her? After all, Tetsuya had rejected countless girls from wealthy, prestigious families. Not only that but a few years ago, Tetsuya had firmly stated that he had no interest or sexual desire for anyone. Yet now, he was infatuated with a cheap woman.
"True. But regardless, Young Master Tetsuya is deeply protective of and in love with her," Ryoji replied, seemingly defending Saki in front of Kaito.
Of course, Kaito didn't like hearing his trusted subordinate sound as though he was defending Saki instead of joining in the insults as expected.
"That slut must have seduced Tetsuya with her ugly body," Kaito insulted, refusing to back down. He knew Tetsuya's taste should be refined, unlike Renji, who married a woman born from his parents' illicit affair. This shame sullied the very distinguished name of Ishikawa.
Your assumption is likely accurate; she might have fought hard and brought in Young Master Tetsuya, so at least give her some credit for this." What other woman has ever managed (Ryoji said to defend Saki) to catch his interest, after all?" But he meant to incite Kaito's anger.
"You're right. I also once thought Tetsuya didn't like women, so hearing that he was pursuing a girl relieved me. But I never expected his taste would be so lowly—unworthy of the Ishikawa family," Kaito complained, frustrated with his grandson's poor taste.
Why couldn't both of his grandsons see and judge women properly? How could they both fall for lowly girls? After all, Renji's late mother was of noble lineage and a distant relative of the Ishikawa clan. Renji was born with 100% pure noble blood, unlike Tetsuya, whose mother was a commoner.
"I agree with you. So, what will you do with the girl?" Ryoji asked curiously, waiting for the next plan.
"Lock her up and place her under strict guard. It's not yet her time to die," Kaito ordered coldly.
"Understood, Master Kaito," Ryoji replied obediently.
Following the order, Ryoji locked Saki in an impenetrable special room due to its strong security system. With surveillance cameras and guards stationed at every corner, no one could easily enter or leave the place, let alone escape.
As for Tetsuya, his condition did not fully improve after Dr. Aya visited him. Though no longer in critical condition, he was still in a coma. As for his family and friends, they were lauding with fear and anxiety, and Renji was the most agitated. As a family and a close person to Tetsuya, Renji feared losing him. Tetsuya was like Renji's older brother; if anything were to happen to him, Renji would be devastated. Despite Tetsuya's sometimes irritating behavior, he had always been an important figure in Renji's life—someone who protected and stood by him through all dangers, even willing to sacrifice everything for Renji's happiness without thinking of his own life.
Some time ago, Renji had discovered Tetsuya's secret plan. Without anyone's knowledge, Tetsuya had secretly appointed a notary to draft a will, dividing all his assets among several people, including Saki—the girl who had always been his sparring partner.
Even though Tetsuya was still alive and not yet dead, he seemed aware of his condition. His illness couldn't be cured unless he underwent a heart transplant.
When Renji found out about this, he was shocked and saddened. It turned out that Tetsuya had been preparing for this for a long time as if he knew death would come for him and there was no chance for him to survive.
Tetsuya's attitude frustrated Renji. He wanted to shake Tetsuya awake, to make him realize he couldn't give up on life because there were still so many things he needed to do—one of them being getting married.
"How long are you going to keep sleeping, Tetsuya?" Renji whispered, staring at Tetsuya, who was hooked up to a breathing machine and a heart monitor to track his condition.
The doctor in charge said that Tetsuya was currently in a coma and asked Renji to keep praying for his recovery, as that was all that could be done now after all the medications and medical treatments had been administered.
"I'll find a heart donor for you, so please hold on a little longer," Renji said with a bittersweet smile, looking at Tetsuya's pale face.
As for Tetsuya's treatment, everything was entrusted to Aya Himura, a renowned heart surgeon, and with Tsuchihebi, the god of medicine, by their side, Renji could feel a little more at ease. Although Tetsuya's condition had worsened due to the painkillers concocted by Tsuchihebi, it wasn't entirely the snake-loving man's fault. Tetsuya had taken the medication to carry out the tasks Renji had given him, so the person truly to blame was Renji, not anyone else.
To make up for everything, Renji was determined to find a heart donor for Tetsuya, even if it meant killing someone else. But before that, there was something important Renji had to do—a crucial task that would determine the future of everyone involved.
Renji stroked Tetsuya's head like a younger brother, caring for his elder brother with tenderness. "Wait here peacefully. I shall destroy Oyaji and save your little pony," read softly, with a brief smile, before exiting Tetsuya's hospital room.

A couple dozen seconds after Renji left, Tetsuya's right finger twitched, and gradually, his eyes opened a bit.
Finally, after several days of being unconscious, Tetsuya woke up. But the first thing that came to his mind was the image of a blonde-haired girl with a ponytail—someone else's girl.
"S-Saki..." he called out weakly, his voice barely above a whisper.
