Chapter 801 -802 Marriage (End 4)_1
Just the day before yesterday, Jing Haohao told Liang Chen that she wanted to marry him and face his family together with him.
She also knew that on the day of Gao Lu’s wedding, when Liang Yuan and the others saw her and Liang Chen back together, the Liang family would soon find out. They would surely have someone come looking for her.
All this day, she had been preparing, but mental preparation could not be accomplished simply by deciding to do it.
Now that Liang Chen’s mother suddenly appeared before her, she didn’t really know how to react.
However, Jing Haohao knew that she had to face what needed to be faced, regardless of whether the intentions of the arrival were benign or malicious. She would definitely not let go of the happiness she was determined to have.
And so, Jing Haohao quickly regained her composure. Looking at Liang Chen’s mother, she smiled gently, “Auntie, are you here to buy flowers?”
Of course, Jing Haohao knew that Liang Chen’s mother was not here to buy flowers. However, it would be better to let Liang Chen’s mother be the first to speak about certain things.
Liang Chen’s mother swallowed and smiled nervously at Jing Haohao, “No, I’m here to see you.”
Then, she hesitated for a moment before asking, “Do you have time now?”
Jing Haohao glanced at the time. She still had more than an hour before her usual closing time, but she put down her kettle anyway, “Auntie, please wait for a moment while I tidy up a bit.”
“Okay, I’ll wait for you outside.”
Jing Haohao nodded, watching as Liang Chen’s mother left. As she picked up her bag, she thought for a moment, and decided to inform Liang Chen. She sent him a text, “Chen, your mother came to see me.”
After sending the text, Jing Haohao took a deep breath, walked out of the flower shop, and locked the door.
Liang Chen’s second brother had already opened the car door for Jing Haohao, and she bent down to get in.
…
The car was quiet the whole way.
Liang Chen’s second brother drove them to a local Hangzhou cuisine restaurant in the city center.
As it was not yet time for dinner, the restaurant was relatively empty. The waiters were standing idly by the entrance. Seeing them arrive, they immediately ushered them to a more private box upstairs.
The food was ordered by Liang Chen’s second brother, and he also asked for a pot of excellent Longjing tea.
The tea was served first. The second brother personally brewed the tea and poured three cups. The first cup was given to his own mother, then to Jing Haohao.
Jing Haohao, with her eyelashes lowered, softly uttered, “Thank you.”
Liang Chen’s second brother had a personality similar to that of Liang Chen’s mother, gentle and kind. He smiled warmly at Jing Haohao without saying a word.
The room was slightly quiet, with the occasional sound of waiters bringing up food.
The dishes were served quickly, covering the whole table.
Only then did Liang Chen’s second brother waved his hand, signaling for the waiters to leave.
The waiters, understanding the situation, also closed the door of the private room as they left.
The room became even quieter. The light reflected from the tea in the cups, casting ripples of shadows.
Liang Chen’s mother picked up her tea cup, took a sip, and then looked up with a smile at Jing Haohao, “Miss Jing, may I call you Haohao?”
Jing Haohao nodded and replied, “Auntie, yes, you may.”
Liang Chen’s mother’s sentences were still unorganized, so she turned the conversation to more trite matters instead, “Haohao, have you been doing well?”

Jing Haohao knew that Liang Chen’s mother was referring to the days since she had left Liang Chen.
