My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot-Chapter 66 - 63: She Is a Monster
The Gordon Residence—
Renee Gordon shivered, hiding under her blankets.
The shadow Aurora Sinclair had cast over her during the day was simply too immense. The moment she closed her eyes, she would remember the feeling of her body being out of her control, and she would scream in terror.
"Little Sis, what’s wrong? Are you not feeling well?" It was the first time Lillian Gordon had ever seen her younger sister like this. Ever since coming home, she had been bundled up under the covers, trembling as if she had received a terrible fright.
Renee Gordon shot up, threw off the blankets, and gripped Lillian Gordon’s arm tightly.
Her forehead was covered in sweat, her hair was a mess plastered to her face, and her complexion was so pale it was bloodless. Her face was full of terror, as if she had seen a ghost. "A monster... She’s a monster..."
"Little Sis, what on earth is wrong with you? Don’t scare me... Someone, someone get in here! Call a doctor—"
Only after the Gordon family’s private doctor gave Renee Gordon a sedative did she calm down slightly. Then she burst into tears, sobbing and shouting, "SOB... Aurora Sinclair is a monster... She’s just a monster..."
The expressions of the Gordons gathered around her changed slightly.
Renee’s father, Harold Gordon, asked in a low voice, "Renee, did Aurora Sinclair frighten you?"
"Dad... She can control my body... I couldn’t move..."
Seeing her daughter was so scared she was spouting nonsense again, Sheryl Warren hugged her and cursed, "This is outrageous! I’m going to the Sinclair family right now—"
"What are you going to do? The Sinclairs aren’t what they used to be. Tanner Sinclair is with the Kingsford Martial Alliance, and Jade Sinclair married into the Quincy Family."
"But our Stella is in the Calligraphy Association!"
Harold Gordon said faintly, "Stella’s surname isn’t Gordon."
Sheryl Warren was stunned for a moment, then asked, unwilling to let it go, "Are we just going to let this slide?" Her voice rose an octave in her anger.
Harold Gordon shot her a look. "Let my eldest sister handle this!"

After receiving a call from her sister-in-law to complain, Hailey Gordon was so angry she cursed Aurora Sinclair’s name several times.
Then, with a grim face, she called Master Sinclair to lodge her own complaint.
"Dad, Aurora Sinclair bullied my Renee today and scared her so badly she had to be given a sedative..."
Master Sinclair didn’t believe it at all and replied coolly, "Aurora would never bully anyone. It must be another misunderstanding..."
Hearing this, Hailey Gordon seethed with frustration. "Dad, I’m sending you the video my sister-in-law sent me. You can see for yourself if it’s a misunderstanding!"
Master Sinclair raised an eyebrow, glanced at Butler Sinclair, and retorted neutrally, "It’s normal for children to squabble amongst themselves. There’s no need for adults to interfere."
His words made Hailey Gordon so angry she nearly snapped her own fingernails.
"You... even if she is your granddaughter, you can’t be this biased, can you? She must apologize to my Renee for this—"
"It’s too late. We’ll talk about it tomorrow!"
Hearing the dial tone, Hailey Gordon slammed the phone down.
’Old geezer, little monster, just you wait!’

Meanwhile, Master Sinclair quickly watched the video Hailey Gordon had sent him. In it, Lynn Gordon was hugging herself and trembling, and she certainly didn’t look normal.
Butler Sinclair said, "Family Head, there’s something strange about this. The Second Miss wouldn’t attack someone for no reason."
Master Sinclair naturally knew this. He pondered for a moment, then asked in a low voice, "Have Aurora and the others returned?"
"They have. They’ve been resting in their rooms..."
Before he could finish, a servant’s shout came from outside. "Family Head, this is bad! The Second Miss is running away from home—"
Butler Sinclair’s expression changed drastically. He immediately opened the door to see what was happening.
He saw Aurora Sinclair leading Leigh Miles, who in turn was leading Titus Miles, slowly walking over.
All three were carrying the same cloth bags they had when they first arrived. Aurora Sinclair and Leigh Miles were also carrying two additional cloth bags, looking for all the world like they were about to leave.
"What is all this...?"
Butler Sinclair’s eyes were wide with astonishment. Master Sinclair, who had followed him out, also looked on in disbelief.
Leigh Miles glanced at Aurora Sinclair, took a step forward, and spoke first. "Grandpa Butler, we’ve come to say goodbye to Grandpa Sinclair. This is the tuition money Eldest Mr. Sinclair paid for me, plus living expenses for my brother and me during our recent stay with the Sinclair family. Please accept it."
Aurora Sinclair pushed a cloth bag full of cash into Butler Sinclair’s arms.
"What in the world is going on?" Master Sinclair demanded, his face dark. He struck the floor twice with his cane.
Leigh Miles continued, "Grandpa Sinclair, my master’s return date is uncertain. Even though my senior sister is close with us, my brother and I can’t keep taking advantage of the Sinclair family’s hospitality. So we’ve decided to move out and wait for our master to return..."
Seeing the Family Head’s expression darken even further at these words, Butler Sinclair quickly interjected, "Leigh, Kingsford isn’t like Sunstone. It’s a complicated place. You and your brother are so young; it would be dangerous for you to live on your own. It would be difficult for the Family Head to explain things to your master."
"Don’t worry, Grandpa Butler. Senior Sister will protect us."
Aurora Sinclair, standing to the side, nodded in agreement. "I’ll take care of them."
"Nonsense! You’ll take care of them? With what? You’re still a child yourself! Moving out now? Where would you even live?" Master Sinclair finally lost his temper with Aurora Sinclair, which made Leigh Miles flinch.
But Aurora Sinclair’s face was calm. She pulled out her phone and said, "He will send someone to pick us up."
When Master Sinclair heard this, his face grew even darker. He glared at her for a long moment before saying gravely, "To the study..."
Leigh Miles’s heart skipped a beat. ’I think I was too impulsive,’ she thought, a faint sense of regret welling up for pushing her senior sister to move out now.
After Butler Sinclair closed the study door, Master Sinclair couldn’t help but ask, "Is this because of your conflict with Renee Gordon?"
He thought back on the events of the past few days. The only explanation for Aurora Sinclair’s abnormal behavior today had to be related to Hailey Gordon’s complaint.
Thinking he was about to blame Aurora Sinclair, Leigh Miles, who was standing to the side, shot to her feet and apologized anxiously.
"Grandpa Sinclair, I’m sorry! This isn’t Senior Sister’s fault. I was the one arguing with Renee Gordon. Senior Sister only taught her a lesson for my sake..."
Across from them, Master Sinclair’s face remained stern, making Leigh Miles feel very uncertain. Her voice grew quieter and quieter until it trailed off.
Master Sinclair watched her for a moment before asking in a heavy voice, "Why did you two have a conflict?"
Leigh Miles was at a loss for words, a hesitant look on her face. "It was... just a small thing..."
"Forrest, call the principal—"
"Grandpa Sinclair—" Leigh Miles cried out in alarm.
The atmosphere in the room grew tense.
Master Sinclair pressed his lips together as he watched her. Leigh Miles bit her lip, slowly lowered her head, and fidgeted with the hem of her school uniform.
"Renee Gordon insulted my junior sister and junior brother."
Leigh Miles whipped her head around and called out uneasily, "Senior Sister..."
Aurora Sinclair’s expression was placid. She raised a hand to pat Leigh’s head comfortingly, then looked Master Sinclair straight in the eye and said seriously, "My junior sister is not a beggar, and my junior brother is not a retard..."
Master Sinclair instantly understood the cause. He trembled with fury, slammed his hand on the desk, and pointed at Butler Sinclair, his face ashen with rage. "Call the Gordon Family... now—"
’The Gordon Family is getting more and more out of line!’ Butler Sinclair was also furious.
Just then, a servant’s voice came from outside the door again. "Family Head, there is a Mr. Dixon here to see you."
***
Dean Morgan was not glib like Beta Morgan; his personality was very similar to Aurora Sinclair’s.
After entering the study, he stated concisely, "I’m Dixon. I’m here to pick someone up."
Ever since he entered, Leigh Miles had been trying to catch his eye, winking and secretly waving her hands at him.
Behind the desk, Master Sinclair was sulking with his eyes downcast, while Butler Sinclair stood beside him, trying to calm him down.
Dean Morgan didn’t quite understand the situation, but he was sensible enough not to speak, standing as still as a wooden post.
Butler Sinclair didn’t dare let him stand for long. He politely invited him to sit and made some brief small talk.
The situation was a bit awkward.
After a few minutes, Master Sinclair seemed to have finally composed himself. He opened his eyes and looked calmly at Dean Morgan. "Mr. Dixon, Aurora’s college entrance exams are coming up soon. This is not a good time for her to be distracted with looking after others. Can this move wait until after her exams?"
Aurora Sinclair was about to refuse, but Leigh Miles quickly cut in, "Mr. Dixon, I didn’t think this through. Grandpa Sinclair is right. Let’s wait until after Senior Sister finishes her exams!"
Dean Morgan’s gaze rested impassively on her for a moment, scaring Butler Sinclair so much that he held his breath and frequently wiped his sweat with a handkerchief.
"I need to ask the Master."
Less than two minutes later, Dean Morgan hung up the phone and turned to Master Sinclair. "The Master says to ask the parties involved. If they agree, he agrees."

「The next day.」
All major and minor shareholders and heads of the Sinclair family’s businesses received a notice from Master Sinclair about an upcoming general shareholders’ meeting.
Hailey Gordon looked at Linton Sinclair, who was tying his tie, and said mockingly, "Your father is getting more dramatic in his old age. Didn’t we just have a shareholders’ meeting? Why another one? At his age, instead of retiring, he’s clinging to control of the company every day. He’s too power-hungry!"
Linton Sinclair glanced at her in the mirror and said coolly, "Dad summoned my younger sister back last night."
Hearing this, Hailey Gordon immediately sat up straight, excited. "Is Myles coming back?"
For the past two years, Myles Sinclair has been working alongside Janet Sinclair to expand the Sinclair family’s overseas markets.
The aunt and nephew pair worked together in perfect harmony, causing the Sinclair family’s overseas market share to grow year after year.
This delighted Master Sinclair, who held the two of them in very high regard.
Secretly, the Sinclair family was divided into two factions. One supported Janet Sinclair becoming the next Family Head, while the other supported Linton Sinclair, because he had an exceptionally capable son.
But Master Sinclair had never changed the designated heir, so those who supported Janet Sinclair could only suppress their ambitions.
Now, Hailey Gordon’s attention was entirely focused on her eldest son, and she completely missed the hidden meaning in Linton Sinclair’s words.
A strange emotion flickered in his eyes. He adjusted his tie and didn’t answer her.
Hailey Gordon’s brow furrowed. She leaned forward and poked him in the lower back. "I’m asking you a question! Is our son coming back too? My dad was just talking about him a few days ago..."
Linton Sinclair’s brow twitched. He subtly took two steps to the side, picked up his briefcase, and replied lukewarmly, "I don’t know..."
Hailey Gordon was dissatisfied. She glared at him and complained, "That’s your own son. You haven’t seen him in two years, don’t you miss him?"
"...A man should have the courage to make his own way in the world." Linton Sinclair left her with this heavy-toned sentence and strode out of the bedroom.
Hailey Gordon watched his retreating back, a vicious glint in her eye. She immediately called for Sue Quinn and said coldly, "Find someone to take care of that little bastard outside."
Sue Quinn nodded.
Before leaving, she asked tentatively, "First Madam, about what happened with Miss Gordon yesterday..."
Hailey Gordon shot her a look and said sharply, "We’ll deal with it after the shareholders’ meeting!"
Sue Quinn froze, suppressing the unwillingness and impulsiveness she felt.
