My Ultimate Gacha System-Chapter 267 - 256: Atalanta Vs Udinese IV (Serie A)
Sunday, March 5, 2023
Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo
Second Half
Fweeeeeetttttttt!!!!!
The whistle blew and play restarted with Højlund touching the ball backward, and Udinese’s shape immediately pushed higher than it had been in the first half.
Walace closed on Demien before the ball even reached him, and Pereyra stepped up aggressively to press Koopmeiners, and the shift in intent was visible across Udinese’s entire formation because sitting back at 2-0 down had produced nothing but frustration.
46’ - 56’ |
The first ten minutes were disjointed as Udinese won territory through physical challenges and second balls, and Atalanta’s rhythm from the first half disappeared under the pressure.
In the forty-eighth minute Walace challenged De Roon aggressively near the halfway line and forced a loose ball that Pereyra collected, and the Argentine midfielder drove forward before playing wide to Deulofeu who had drifted inside from the left wing.
Deulofeu cut onto his right foot and his shot came from twenty yards with power but no accuracy, and the ball sailed over Musso’s crossbar by several feet while Udinese’s supporters in the away section groaned collectively.
"Come on! Get tighter!" Gasperini shouted from the touchline, and his hands gestured toward his midfield to compress the space between the lines.
Atalanta tried to build from the back but Udinese’s press was relentless, and throw-ins and second balls kept play in Atalanta’s defensive third more than Gasperini wanted.
In the fifty-second minute Deulofeu received again in a similar position and this time his shot was better directed, coming low toward the near post, and Musso had to dive sharply to push it away with both hands.
The save drew applause from the home sections and one supporter near the goal shouted, "Bravo Juan!" while the goalkeeper got back to his feet and organized his defense.
The corner that followed was cleared by Djimsiti, but Udinese retained possession immediately and continued pressing, and for the first time in the match they looked dangerous rather than frustrated.
The broadcast commentary reflected the shift in momentum without overstating it. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Udinese much more aggressive to start this half," the lead commentator said. "Pressing higher, winning second balls. They’re making this uncomfortable for the home side."
"Has to be the approach when you’re two down," his colleague added. "Can’t sit back anymore. Force mistakes, create chaos, hope something falls your way."
Demien dropped deeper to help progression because Koopmeiners was being marked tightly by Pereyra, and when he received from Tolói in the fifty-fourth minute Walace was on him immediately with a shoulder challenge that knocked him slightly off balance.
His first touch was hurried and the ball bounced away two yards, but his recovery was quick and he got there before Walace could intercept, and his second touch played it backward to Djimsiti rather than trying to turn forward.
「ATTRIBUTE CHECK」
「Balance 77 | Strength 87 | Composure 89」
The circulation kept possession without creating danger, and Gasperini’s instructions from the touchline became constant—stay compact, don’t get stretched, let them have the ball in their half.
56’ - 58’ |
Atalanta slowly began to reassert control as Koopmeiners and De Roon started circulating the ball faster, and the quicker tempo drew Udinese’s press out of shape and created gaps between their lines.
In the fifty-seventh minute Lookman received wide on the left and beat Ehizibue with a sharp change of direction, and his cross came low into the penalty area where Højlund was arriving, but Bijol got there first and cleared it for a corner.
The crowd sensed the third goal approaching and the noise built while flags waved across the home sections, and one group in the Curva Nord started a chant that spread: "Forza Atalanta! Alé alé!"
Demien positioned himself at the edge of the penalty area while the corner was being prepared, and Walace stood beside him with hands on his hips and his attention split between watching the ball and tracking Demien’s movement.
The corner was delivered toward the near post but Silvestri came out and punched it clear, and the ball fell to De Roon who controlled it thirty yards from goal before playing it back to Koopmeiners.
Koopmeiners scanned once and played it forward into Demien’s feet, and this time when Walace closed he was a half-step slower than before, and Demien’s first touch took the ball away from the pressure and opened space in front of him.
58’ |
The opportunity came from patience rather than chaos, and the space appeared because Walace had hesitated.
De Roon intercepted a loose pass near the halfway line and played it immediately to Koopmeiners who was positioned centrally with room to turn, and the Dutch midfielder’s first touch opened his body toward the attacking third where Demien had positioned himself twenty-five yards from goal.
The pass came with good weight and arrived at Demien’s feet while Walace was still recovering from his previous position, and the Brazilian midfielder faced a decision—step out aggressively and leave space behind, or hold his position and allow time on the ball.
He held.
Demien’s first touch set the ball perfectly for his right foot, and his eyes registered Silvestri’s positioning slightly off his near post, and the decision came instinctively rather than through conscious calculation.
「TRAIT ACTIVATED」
「Long Shot Taker」
His second touch was the strike itself and it came low and clean from twenty-five yards, and the ball stayed on the turf rather than rising while it traveled toward the near post with pace and accuracy.
Silvestri dove but his positioning had been too central and the angle was wrong, and the ball passed inside the post and hit the side netting while twenty thousand voices erupted simultaneously.
ATALANTA 3-0 UDINESE
The roar was deafening and Demien turned immediately while teammates sprinted toward him, and Lookman reached him first and grabbed his head with both hands while shouting, "What a strike! Clean as hell!"
Koopmeiners arrived next and slapped his back hard, and Højlund wrapped an arm around his shoulders while grinning, but the celebration was professional rather than wild because the game wasn’t finished yet.
In the stands the Curva Nord bounced in unison while blue and black confetti fell from the upper tier, and one section held a massive banner that read ATALANTA MOLA MIA, and the chant spread across every home section: "Ohhh, Atalanta! Ohhh, Atalanta!"
A young boy near the touchline jumped onto his father’s back while pointing at Demien and saying something that was lost in the noise, and nearby a group of teenagers were all shouting at once while replaying the goal with their hands mimicking the strike.
The broadcast replays showed the sequence from multiple angles while the commentators analyzed the execution.
"Excellent strike from outside the box," the lead commentator said while the replay showed Demien’s body shape and follow-through. "Sets it with the first touch, no hesitation on the second. Stays low, finds the near post. Goalkeeper’s positioning gives him that angle."
"That’s composure from twenty-five yards," his colleague added. "Doesn’t blast it, doesn’t try to curl it top corner. Just places it cleanly where the keeper can’t reach. Three-nil now and this one’s done as a contest."
Play resumed with Udinese kicking off, and their body language showed frustration while Atalanta’s players jogged back into position with renewed confidence.
