My Tribrid System: More than a Monster-Chapter 114: A Pissed off Legacy
Chapter 112
"Yes! I got it. I knew I would win." Van could be seen jumping excitedly in the class used for the tech aspect training.
The others had already left in sadness at the loss. The tech aspect class only had six students including Van compared to the other classes with tons and tons of Aspirants.
Valves, tubes, scattered metallic objects filled the place.
Van didn’t care about this as he held a key in his hand. He was grinning from ear to ear.
The instructor had given them a task. The same task he worked on overnight.
The instructor had given the six students a certain tech—the same kind. One would have thought it wasn’t working and they were to fix it.
But they were wrong. The tech was working perfectly yet the instructor told them all something.
"An important component is missing from this. With it, this will become something more great. Find out what is wrong with this tech and fix it before the next class tomorrow for a prize."
Van had eagerly worked on it all through the night. Even though his strange ability played a part in helping him locate the problem, he still had to fix it himself. Which he did.
He brought the machinery to class and it turned out he was the only one amongst the six students to actually locate the problem and solve it.
The instructor was visibly impressed by this. She then gave Van his prize.
A key.
A key to his own very personal room in the Corps ground where he could work on his own inventions and machinery without any hitch.
This was valuable because previously, Van worked in his home’s basement. But with wall rose absolutely destroyed, he couldn’t work for a while.
The dorm room too was quite cramped and he wasn’t the only one living in it. If it was left to him, tons of equipment would have been scattered around the place.
But he couldn’t do that to Ray and Kai, hence he was limited.
With this room, he could work peacefully and also expand his knowledge. This would help him test his new strange ability and see how it can help in this war against the Abberants.
Clutching the key with an uncontrolled grin, he placed it on his watch and instantly, the watch lit up.
The direction to the room was now displayed in front of him. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Hurriedly, he rushed out of the class while making sure to lock the place properly.
’After I’m done cleaning it, wait till the others hear about this. The only problem is,’ Van mused as he was rushing at his own top speed.
’... I can’t stay cooped in the place throughout the night. It’s still outside my dorm and the authorities will be signalled when it’s curfew time.’
"Haha~. Still doesn’t matter. Oh so many plans and layout I have for my new pla..."
He wasn’t looking as he was distracted in his thoughts when,
Bump!
He collided with something hard.
Crash!
Something glassy shattered to the ground loudly drawing all and every attention towards the source.
Van looked up. And before him stood a boy of 5"8 tall with his fiery red hair neatly combed back.
And around him were about three different boys. They had been chatting with one another while the red haired held a glass of drink in his hand.
Until he was bumped by Van causing him to accidentally drop the glass.
Peering closer at the boy’s face, Van gulped loudly as realization instantly dawned on him.
’Berg. Fuck, I’m dead.’

"How dare you?! How dare a trash like you bump into me and make me lose my drink?!" Berg suddenly exploded into a loud rage.
All eyes drew towards the commotion almost immediately.
They were in an incredibly wide hallway. A hallway that could lead one to the different point of the building.
The entrance and exit, the stairs to one’s dorm and so many other places.
So a lot of Aspirants were walking and loitering around hence they could witness the scene.
"I-I-I’m so sorry, Berg. I-I didn’t see y..."
"And how could you have you blind brat?!" Berg roared in anger as his hands were squeezed tightly as everyone made way for him.
Van was seen shivering under the gaze of Berg. Why wouldn’t he?
Berg was apparently a direct descendant of one of the big four legacy family and he was also a grade 6.8 ability user.
What could Van— someone without an ability to against him?
Hence he quickly fell on his knees in panic.
"I’m sorry, I promise it wasn’t intentional. I-I will pay for your drink. Please, I’m sorry."
"You think this is about the drink?" Berg bellowed as he glared at Van on the floor. "Actually. It’s also part but the main issue is your filthy weak body actually touched me. What made you think you had the right to?"
"I promise it was a mistake Be—"
"Shut up!" Berg thundered and in the blink of an eye, his foot connected with Van’s face.
The boy was thrown backwards in immense pain.
Tak. Tak. Tak.
"Don’t you dare utter my name again!"
"I-I-I’M sorry..."
"Didn’t I say that you should shut the fuck up?!" Berg screamed as he reached Van in a flash.
Without hesitation, he smashed his foot into the boy’s face again. Blood trickled out this time.
— Woah! Seems like he is incredibly pissed. I wonder what happened?
—I heard that the Captain of the ability class had humiliated him in front of everybody.
— Ow! No wonder he is pissed off. Valid reason to be honest.
Van coughed a few times as he slowly tried pulling himself up.
Berg still stood in front of him and on noticing that Van was about to stand up, he immediately lifted his foot and then,
Bam!
Crunch!
He smashed it hard against the boy’s fingers causing Van to let out a painful scream as he could feel his fingers cracking loudly.
"This will teach you low graders to respect those stronger than you are. We are the ones who will protect you in this world against the Abberants. We are the only ones who matter. You all don’t."
As he was speaking, he was twisting his foot on Van’s hands causing him to keep on screaming. Tears fell from his eyes in waves as he was now pleading audibly.
A final kick landed on his neck lifting his body off the ground and sent tumbling backwards like a broken doll.
— Hold on. Isn’t this going too far?
"... In this world, no one will know if trash like you aren’t there. It won’t matter. So know your place next time." Berg paused for a moment as he stared at Van coughing violently.
A smile of satisfaction washed over his face as he stared at this scene. For some reason, doing this, he was filled with inexplicable joy especially with the fact that tons of people were watching.
"You know what? Let me teach you to respect your superiors." Berg smirked as he moved. He just took a step forward.
A loud growl suddenly filled the whole hallway. An immense killing intent suddenly flooded the place causing everybody to pause.
They all instantly turned towards the door only to see two figures standing there.
A silver haired kid was glaring forward in boiling anger.
"I don’t care whether you are part of the big four," The boy was heard saying and with each words, he was walking forward.
Anger visibly spilling out of him in waves.
"Just dare me and take one more step towards Van and one of us will die here. And I can promise you, it won’t be me."
