My System Increases My power Every Day Without Missions and Levelling-Chapter 280: Home
"You finally came back!" Despite her shock, the Red Star Empress quickly regained her composure.
"Yeah..." Richard kept smiling.
"I didn’t expect things to turn out like this," she said.
"What matters is that you achieved a good result," she added.
"Was it a long time?" Richard asked.
"Not really. I’m already quite old—seven years is no longer a long time for me. Especially since I spent the beginning training, and then became busy with work here after Lilith asked me to help her."
"For me, it felt like a very long time," Richard said, causing the Red Star Empress to roll her eyes.
Richard then reached out and touched her hand, which happened to be resting on the table, making the woman panic slightly.
She quickly pulled her hand back.
"Richard, there are many servants here. They could come in at any moment," she said nervously.
Richard only smiled, but under the table, his foot gently brushed against hers.
The Red Star Empress couldn’t refuse this.
"By the way, where is Lilith?" Richard asked.
"She went somewhere to prepare for her realm breakthrough," the Red Star Empress replied.
"Has it been long?"
"Almost three years. But sometimes, her manifestation appears to check on the kingdom’s condition."
"Oh..." Richard nodded after hearing that.
As long as Lilith was safe, he could feel at ease.
"Do you live here?" Richard asked again, glancing around.
"No, I only work here. I always return to my own home," the Red Star Empress replied.
"I see. Then I’ll head there first," Richard said before disappearing once again.
The Red Star Empress couldn’t help but blush upon hearing that.
She had grown older, yet Richard remained just as young.
And yet, he was still just as passionate toward her.
She couldn’t help but recall the beautiful moments from seven years ago.
In a single day, they had been together countless times in Boundless City, and even continued inside the carriage on their way back.
Now that Richard was waiting at her house, it was practically certain that it would happen again there.
However, this time, the Red Star Empress had prepared herself. She had set up a special formation so that her house could not be spied upon.
It was preparation for the possibility that Richard might come, and they wouldn’t be able to control themselves.
Unfortunately, since that time, Richard had never returned.
And later, she heard that he had entered a mysterious place that transformed the Demon Flame Grand Sovereign, allowing him to become the victor of the previous era.
The Red Star Empress stood up. Normally, she wouldn’t rush to leave, but today, for some reason, she wanted to return as soon as possible.
Her age had not diminished her desire for such things with her young lover.
It was hard not to—because the feeling was simply too unforgettable.
"Nana..." the Red Star Empress called the maid who had previously served her tea.
The maid quickly came out from the kitchen.
"I’m going home now. You stay here," the Red Star Empress said, surprising her.
The maid served her personally. Whenever she returned home, the maid would usually follow her.
Why wasn’t she bringing her along today?
The Red Star Empress gave no explanation and simply left.
Richard had already arrived at her house, which did not reject him in the slightest.
Prince Alex was nowhere to be seen. He was no longer in the house.
Richard went up to the second floor, spotting the largest door, which he opened directly, revealing a spacious room illuminated by several white diamonds that emitted soft light.
It had a tall, wide, and long bed, positioned right beside a large window that was slightly open.
There were several cabinets in the room, all filled with ancient books.
Clean, orderly, and quiet.
That was the impression Richard got.
The room was also cool and refreshing.
Richard stepped onto the large bed and immediately sat down, finding it incredibly soft—it sank nearly twenty inches beneath him.
Meanwhile, the Red Star Empress finally returned home.
She thought Richard would be waiting in the living room, but didn’t find him there. Instead, she sensed that he was already in her bedroom.
She didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
This young man was far too impatient.
She suddenly felt a bit awkward about entering her own room.
In her opinion, they should at least talk and have a drink first in the living room. After all, there was much they could discuss.
But she had no choice but to head to her room, where she found Richard already sitting on her bed.
No one would ever imagine such a scene.
In the eyes of others, she was known as someone loyal to the late king.
It wasn’t an image she deliberately created, but rather because she rejected every man who approached her—even those whose status surpassed the king himself.
People simply didn’t know the real reason she rejected them. It wasn’t loyalty to the king—it was because she already had a new lover.
"Your Majesty, your room is very comfortable," Richard said.
"Don’t you want to have dinner or drink something?" the Red Star Empress asked, trying to divert his attention.
She felt extremely awkward if things moved too quickly. For her, it would be easier if they had a drink first.
"No, I’m not hungry or thirsty. I only want you, Your Majesty," Richard replied casually, making her tremble as she stepped into her own room.
Then she saw Richard suddenly lie down on the bed.
"It’s really comfortable here," he said.
As he lay there, he began unbuttoning his shirt.
The Red Star Empress rolled her eyes at his actions.
"Your Majesty, are you shy?" Richard asked.
Once again, she blushed.
"Who’s shy?" she retorted.
"Then why aren’t you coming over here? Lie down with me. After all, this is your bed," Richard replied.
Red Star Empress: "..."
At this point, she had no choice but to approach the bed.
This was a situation she couldn’t avoid—Richard would keep teasing her endlessly if she didn’t.
However, she stopped and sat at the edge of the bed, still keeping some distance from him due to its large size.
But somehow, Richard’s hand seemed to pierce through space, grabbing her hand and pulling her toward him.
The Red Star Empress was helpless. She fell beside him as he immediately wrapped his arm around her waist, smiling charmingly while gently touching her face.
"Looking at you up close, it seems you’ve become younger, Your Majesty," he said.
