Chapter 492: Chapter 492: I Like You

Melody Thorne didn’t say much as she walked out of the hospital room with Jared Quinn, casually taking the phone from his large hand.

She knew he wouldn’t harm Titus Quinn, at most, he would have Harold and the others lock him up, but that wouldn’t solve the root problem.

With Titus Quinn’s sinister nature and psychological scars, locking him up wouldn’t change his hostility towards Jared Quinn, and crucially, he couldn’t be kept locked up for long.

"You surely know that Titus Quinn has always wanted to make you suffer, right?" Melody Thorne lifted her head, leaning against the glass window, her fingers playing with Jared Quinn’s large hand.

Jared Quinn’s gaze on her was somewhat solemn, as Titus Quinn always hid his true nature deeply, pretending in front of everyone, but Melody Thorne knew.

"What exactly do you know? Hmm?" Jared Quinn’s rough thumb rubbed against her cheek.

"Can I say that my dreams told me Titus Quinn wants to kill you, and that’s why I suspected him? Would you believe me?"

"I believe you, no matter what you say."

Even if she was lying, he would still believe her!

"Ha" Melody Thorne couldn’t help but laugh at his words, lifting her toes to kiss the corner of Jared Quinn’s lips, playfully teasing, "I really like you this way."

This made her feel extremely safe, he pampered and believed her no matter what she did, even believing her lies.

Suddenly receiving a love confession, Jared Quinn felt something overflowing in his strong heart as if returning to those times when Melody Thorne would smile at him and follow behind, saying "Jared Quinn, I like you."

This feeling was blissful and satisfying.

Unable to resist, Jared Quinn held the back of her head, deepening the kiss, a lengthy French kiss leaving her breathless.

Her body became tense.

"Let’s go back," Melody Thorne gasped, wrapping her arms around Jared Quinn’s arm, giving him a playful glare.

Jared Quinn turned his head, glancing back down the corridor where Titus Quinn had just walked out, their gazes meeting before either could look away, his eyes dark and emotionless.

Between them burned a fiery flame, intense and unending.

The car drove away from the hospital, and Sheryl Lancaster emerged from behind Titus Quinn, provocatively stating, "No matter what you do, he seems to never take you seriously."

Titus Quinn’s face darkened further, for so many years, he had been like a clown dancing in front of Jared Quinn.

He harbored grudges, while Jared Quinn seemed to have completely forgotten those events.

"By the time he notices, it’ll be too late," Titus Quinn said, pulling a crooked smile, letting out a sinister chuckle.

His demeanor sent slight shivers through Sheryl Lancaster, his collaborator; this man was too wicked.

"Tap tap" soldiers began to surround the hospital, all under Harold Chapman’s command. "Second Young Master, Master Quinn instructed us to ensure Mr. Quinn’s safety here, so we will be on guard all night. You may rest assured."

"Alright," Titus Quinn answered, lifting his head to show his usual gentle expression.

Back in her bedroom, Melody Thorne took out a pen and started drawing unknown lines on a piece of paper. To be precise, the lines she drew resembled crawling worms. Jared Quinn perused his documents, assuming she was just bored.

After checking all the lines she drew and confirming she hadn’t forgotten anything, Melody Thorne put the paper away; in reality, it was a series of things Titus Quinn might do.
