My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 489: Why Did You Do It?
His pupils dilated, staring at the box on the ground. Those injections couldn’t be more familiar to him; they were all given to Jared Quinn.
They were supposed to be administered once every five days, and although somewhat harmful to the body, they absolutely prevented pregnancy.
Now that it’s thrown back to him, could it be...
Dr. Mo’s expression kept changing, recalling the message Melody Thorne sent him that day, sweat was uncontrollably breaking out all over his body.
"Could it be..." His speculative expression was indescribable.
"You guessed right," Jared Quinn’s stern face bore a hint of depth as he gently wrapped his large hand around Melody Thorne’s waist in a protective gesture, "We have a child."
Dr. Mo "..."
Don’t you already have a child?
Quack doctor, truly a quack doctor, Dr. Mo secretly cursed himself. Such strong contraceptive medicines were actually ineffective; damn, he cursed himself.
"Then you are?" Dr. Mo’s facial muscles twitched; words failed to describe.
He probably already guessed the outcome. Given Jared’s current fondness for Melody Thorne, how could he make a rash decision regarding this child?
Jared’s gaze fell on Melody Thorne’s belly as he quietly uttered two words, "A way."
Dr. Mo stomped his foot a bit irritably, his eyes darting around. He really wanted to bash his head in right now.
This was all trouble he brought upon himself! 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Melody Thorne leaned back on the couch, watching Dr. Mo’s agitation at that moment. "Is there no perfect solution?"
Something that could keep Timmy safe and also protect this little life.
"You... you," Dr. Mo couldn’t find any words to describe, having completely lost his composure, "Why did you have to do this? Couldn’t you have waited two more years at least until Timmy was completely healthy?"
Melody Thorne "..."
Damn, why are there so many closeted guys in this world?
"What?" Jared’s cold eyes stared over.
Dr. Mo opened his mouth, then closed it. "Fine, do what you will."
"Since it’s doable, I’ll leave it to you then," Jared withdrew his gaze, supporting Melody Thorne as they rose to their feet, walking as he spoke, "I want them both safe."
Dr. Mo "... I haven’t finished, nor did I say it was possible. While a perfect solution would be great, we still need to consider health levels, especially after the young madam just had a blood transfusion. Medically speaking, it’s not feasible."
Jared’s steps paused briefly, he turned his head back, "Even if it’s not feasible, it must be."
Dr. Mo "..."
Won’t anyone listen to his explanations?
"Go for a check-up at the hospital in half a month and decide then," Dr. Mo had no choice but to speak.
Everything depended on whether Melody Thorne’s body could endure it. Calculating from the date Melody Thorne gave blood to Timmy this time, by next year there would be at least eleven months left. Women need ten months to bear a child; by then, it might delay Timmy’s condition, and Melody Thorne’s body surely couldn’t take it.
Watching the two leave with his eyes wide open, Dr. Mo picked up the injections on the ground, tidied up and threw them all into the trash can.
What’s the point of keeping it when it’s useless?
In the evening, Melody Thorne received a call from Nina King, informing her that the movie’s box office continued to climb steadily, gaining great acclaim, and with public votes at their peak, there were two movies closely competing.
Online, countless drama fans and reporters, dissatisfied with the insufficient buzz, initiated some sort of PK list, demanding a face-off between the female leads of the two movies, whoever emerged more prominent would have a chance to win the highest accolade at the film festival.
