My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 478: What About Me?
"It’s okay," Mrs. Thorne didn’t want to talk much.
"Melody Thorne, how can you let Mr. Quinn carry you!" Rochelle Thorne was so angry she almost spat blood. All of this should have been hers, all of it.
"I like him carrying me," Melody Thorne curled her lips into a gentle smile, turned her head, and kissed Jared Quinn’s cheek.
Leaving two lipstick marks on his handsome and profound face, very suggestive.
It was the lipstick she had just applied.
"Shameless!"
"What does my kissing him have to do with you?" Melody Thorne looked down arrogantly from Jared Quinn’s back, "We sleep in the same bed every night."
"Ah," Rochelle clenched her fists.
This damn woman dared to provoke her!
"By the way, you don’t need to call Jared Quinn ’Mr. Quinn’ anymore, after all, I was once a daughter of the Thorne family too. I should be older than you, just call him brother-in-law."
Rochelle bit her lower lip tightly, call him brother-in-law? Never!
"Let’s go," Melody kissed Jared Quinn on the other cheek right in front of Rochelle, leaving another conspicuous lipstick mark...
Rochelle watched them leave with wide eyes, the resentment in her chest growing stronger...
Back in the car, Melody immediately took a wet wipe from her bag and wiped the lipstick marks off Jared’s cheeks.
Jared Quinn glanced at her nonchalantly, driving steadily, and asked, "Since you’re no longer a daughter of the Thorne family, does that mean you don’t need to investigate their issues anymore?"
According to his investigation, the situation was quite complicated. Mr. Thorne’s whereabouts had been preliminarily located; they had found him, but the former Thorne family could never return.
When they found him, he was hiding in a room in a casino, taking drugs, looking haggard, and skin and bones. Without thorough investigation, they wouldn’t have found him at all.
Moreover, Mr. Thorne already had another woman.
"Investigate," Melody leaned her head against the seat, "Do you know? The man who treated me best was him."
He pampered her even more than Mrs. Thorne, walking dozens of kilometers just to buy her a piece of candy she liked when she was little...
Everything she liked could be brought home.
He even said to her that he would be willing to exchange his life for Melody’s life if necessary.
She had always been the little princess cherished in Mr. Thorne’s hands.
A hint of jealousy swept across Jared’s deep and cold face, "What about me?"
Melody laughed softly, her small hands slowly entwining around his as he drove, "You are the man who treats me the best now."
This statement was irrefutable.
He truly was the man who treated her the best now.
Jared stared at her for a few seconds, regretting not knowing her when she was born and becoming the man who treated her the best in this world!
The car drove on, not heading back to the Quinn family estate, but to a seaside villa.
"What are we doing here?" Melody looked around, with the sea waves slowly unfolding outside, the ocean color blending with the sky, beautifully mesmerizing.
"Sit down and wait a while," Jared covered her eyes and let her sit on the sofa, leaving briefly.
From the kitchen came the sound of pots and pans, and Melody heard it too.
Twenty minutes later, Jared took her hand again, leading her into another glass room facing the sea, and removed the silk scarf covering her eyes.
As she opened her eyes, the familiar things inside were a feast for the eyes, not luxurious items, but those she was most familiar with.
