"Alright, stop arguing. I’ll think about all of this carefully," Melody Thorne sat on a chair beside her. "I want to stay with Mom for a while, you two go out first."

Leon Rivers and Finn Thorne exchanged glances and left the ward.

The entire night, Melody Thorne stayed in the ward. It was rare for Jared Quinn not to call her to come back.

"Sis, you should go back and rest. Mom is fine now, she will probably wake up soon," Finn Thorne brought breakfast to the hospital.

Rochelle Thorne was already nowhere to be found; she probably forgot Mom was still in the hospital.

Melody Thorne received a call from Nina King, the filming for the show had wrapped up. Nina gave her the address for the wrap party, everyone would be there, including her.

As the female lead in the show, she certainly couldn’t miss it.

Melody Thorne ate a bit casually. "I have some things to do, Finn, stay here and look after Mom. Don’t go anywhere, do you hear me?"

"Don’t worry, sis."

Melody Thorne glanced at Mrs. Thorne lying in the bed, took her handbag, and left the ward.

While waiting for the elevator, she happened to see Rochelle Thorne just arriving.

Rochelle was meticulously dressed, clearly not looking like someone who came to care for a patient; upon seeing Melody Thorne, she snorted and walked into Mrs. Thorne’s ward.

Last night, someone invited her to a bar, and she ended up partying all night. She was exhausted and wouldn’t have come to see Mrs. Thorne, but feared she would not side with her, so she had to come.

Rochelle Thorne walked into the ward and saw Finn Thorne wiping Mrs. Thorne’s face with a towel. She strode over and snatched the towel from Finn’s hand. "What are you doing? Do you even know how to care for a patient? How could you use those low-quality hospital towels to wipe Mom’s face?"

Those towels are better suited for cleaning shoes.

"I’m warning you not to go too far," Finn Thorne stood up, somewhat doubting where this woman came from, as she didn’t resemble anyone from the Thorne Family.

"You don’t like it? If you don’t like it, leave."

Finn Thorne clenched his fists tightly. If he were not someone who refrained from hitting women, he would never let Rochelle Thorne off. What kind of sister anyway? Did he ever acknowledge her?

Finn Thorne kicked a chair in front out of the way and stormed out of the ward. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

Immediately after, Rochelle Thorne’s voice came from inside, "Mom, you’re awake?"

Finn Thorne paused in his steps, hearing that Mrs. Thorne was awake, he wanted to turn around and go back into the ward.

"Rochelle, did I faint?" Mrs. Thorne spoke weakly.

"Of course you did. It’s all because of that Finn bringing back some friend causing you to faint. Mom, you have no idea, I stayed here all night guarding you. Look at the dark circles under my eyes."

Rochelle Thorne pointed to the direction of her eyes and leaned down for Mrs. Thorne to see clearly.

"Rochelle, you’ve worked so hard, you’re such a good daughter. Mom is awake now, go rest for a while, I’m okay."

"No, I want to see Mom recover. We’ll go home together once the doctor says you’re fine, then I’ll rest." Rochelle Thorne held Mrs. Thorne’s hands, her eyes filled with concern. "In this world, you’re my only family, I must stay by your side."

Mrs. Thorne looked at her daughter with some heartache, her eyes gradually turning red. It was Rochelle who had stayed by her side over the past two years; she truly was considerate and filial.
