My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 393: Loyal to Her Alone
"Hmm, I believe you," Jared Quinn responded again, his tone quite dismissive.
Melody Thorne sat on the big bed feeling a bit disoriented, for crying out loud, she had told him, yet all Jared Quinn had in return was such a reaction?
"Be good, sleep a bit more." Jared leaned down to kiss her forehead, his hands reluctant to let go of her soft, petite body, forcing himself to look away, otherwise, he feared he wouldn’t be able to resist turning into a wolf, devouring her completely.
Melody Thorne lay back down, watched as Jared Quinn walked out of the bedroom, and touched her forehead with her hand, wanting to laugh. When she had been avoiding Jared, he was constantly investigating, but when she told him the truth, he didn’t believe it?
Isn’t this just hilarious?
Who would’ve thought that the always ruthless emperor CEO would meet his match?
As Jared Quinn was leaving the bedroom, he looked down to see Timmy leaning against the railing in the hallway opposite their room. His almond-shaped eyes, just like his, showed a trace of lazy indifference, hands in his pockets, leaning casually, looking quite the little adult.
That posture, that expression, were exactly like his.
The inheriting genes were exceptionally strong.
Jared’s stern brow furrowed slightly, looking down at his son, "How long have you been standing here?"
"I just came over," Timmy said, taking his hands out of his pockets, standing as straight as a young tree, "There’s something I want to ask you."
Jared raised his handsome eyebrows. Actually, Timmy’s adorable act in front of Melody was fake. When with him, he was real, speaking in a way that didn’t resemble a son talking to his father, seemingly without emotion.
Bending down, he picked up his son and took him into the study, then casually said, "What’s the matter?"
Timmy looked up, "I heard that the woman I’m connected with through the YY merged body isn’t the woman who gave birth to me back then?"
Jared was speechless.
He might have underestimated his son a bit; he knew so much, even about this YY merging stuff.
"Indeed, she isn’t," Jared replied.
Upon receiving the answer he wanted, the frost on Timmy’s little face melted away completely, his lips on the verge of a smile he tried hard to suppress, looking absolutely adorable, "Got it."
Timmy turned to leave, but after taking a couple of steps, he looked back again and said, "I hope you don’t let just any random woman attach to me in the future. If you like them, feel free; after all, my loyalty to Melody is unmatched."
Jared was speechless.
The little guy walked away with an air of arrogance.
Jared sat alone in the study, somewhat questioning life. Was it Melody Thorne who raised him these past four years, not him as his father?
"Young Master Quinn," Harold Chapman entered from outside, suddenly seeing the man who usually had everything under control, now with a hint of confusion in his dark eyes, wondering if he’d seen it wrong.
This was a rare sight indeed.
Just as he tried to confirm it, Jared had already hidden his gaze, handsome face composed, with an icy, ominous undertone, saying word by word, "I want to know everything about their movements in the past two days."
Harold was speechless.
He reported everything that happened in the past few days to Jared.
And the strangest thing was Melody Thorne’s dream. It was because of her dream that Jared was saved, now only suffering some minor injuries, with old wounds flaring up. And the one who saved Jared was precisely the person in the portrait.
