My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 382: What Should I Do?
No, hold on, hold on, let’s see what Titus Quinn is going to do first?
With Jared Quinn gone, she must protect Timmy.
Melody Thorne steadied her emotions and stepped downstairs.
All eyes of those who came with Titus Quinn were on her.
"How could he disappear?" Melody Thorne’s clear black pupils gathered mist as she struggled to hold back. "Weren’t you all together? Why did you come back and not him?"
Titus Quinn’s gaze was deeply hidden, and like her, he was grieving. "He stayed behind to protect me, telling me to leave first. He covered the retreat, and then we lost contact. My people found out that those in Crestfall who mean us harm are likely to sneak in here to take Timmy away, so I had to come back early." 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Melody Thorne looked down at the ground, as if greatly shaken, but she knew one thing: she would definitely not get any useful information from Titus Quinn.
"Where’s Leon Rivers? Isn’t he supposed to be protecting Jared Quinn?"
"When I escaped, Leon Rivers was with my brother, and now he’s missing too," Titus Quinn said.
Melody Thorne secretly breathed a sigh of relief. That’s good, as long as Leon Rivers is missing too, maybe they’re together. And with Leon Rivers’ high medical skills, even if Jared Quinn is injured, he must have a way.
"Thank you." Melody Thorne lifted her head, "I’m fine here, Harold Chapman left many people to protect us when he left. My biggest concern is still grandpa. You should go protect grandpa, I’m afraid he won’t be able to handle the news of Jared Quinn’s disappearance."
She subtly tried to get Titus Quinn to leave. She knew it was not that someone would sneak in here; Titus Quinn was already starting to imprison them.
Titus Quinn squinted his eyes, his gaze falling on her calm, small face, with scrutiny. "Grandpa asked me to come protect you. He already has people protecting him, and no one dares to touch him. It’s here that he is most worried about."
"Yes, ma’am, why not let the second young master stay and protect you and Timmy?" The butler, unaware of Titus Quinn’s hidden motives, only knew that Titus Quinn and Jared Quinn were family.
"No need, we have Harold Chapman’s people here." Melody Thorne refused. "If the second young master is so free, why not send more people to find Jared Quinn’s whereabouts."
"It seems my sister-in-law really misunderstands me," Titus Quinn shifted his gaze away. "Even if you chase me out now, I won’t leave. With my brother gone, I’ll continue to protect the Quinn Family’s safety."
"Butler, prepare a room. I’ll be staying here for the next few days until my brother returns."
The butler was in a dilemma; he could tell Melody Thorne didn’t want Titus Quinn to stay, but now Titus Quinn was the only one who could guarantee their safety.
"Uncle, are you staying here?" Timmy came down from the stairs, holding a mechanical toy.
"Yes, are you happy? Uncle will be with you for the next few days," Titus Quinn walked forward a few steps and hugged Timmy.
"Happy."
Melody Thorne turned around. What should she do now? She was the only one who knew Titus Quinn’s intentions were impure, and his disappearance was certainly greatly related to Jared Quinn’s.
Stay calm, stay calm.
Maybe if Titus Quinn stays here, she can discover something?
"Second young master, would you like to have some food first?" The butler walked over, having already prepared a guest room on the third floor. It wasn’t like other guests, so the guest room arrangement was naturally the best.
