My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 332: Giving Him a Grand Gift
"What exactly do you mean?" Ivy called Caleb. "Get me out of here. How come Mrs. Tang is on this ship too? Is Jared Quinn also on board now? You’re not trying to save me at all; you’re setting me up."
"You’re wrong. I am having someone get you out, but whether you can leave on the ship is up to your own skills," the male voice over the phone was particularly magnetic.
"I’m not the one driving the ship! How am I supposed to leave?" Ivy nearly screamed. "I don’t care what you’re planning; make the ship head overseas right now. I want to leave here. I don’t want to go back."
"Then it’s up to your skills," Caleb chuckled lightly.
After all, she was just a pawn in his hands. What did he care about her life or death?
However, when would that young lady learn to become as ruthless and cunning as he was?
"Caleb, Caleb, even if I die, I won’t let you off," Ivy shouted.
He coldly hung up the phone.
No, no, she definitely couldn’t go back. Ivy was starting to panic. Where was that woman Melody? Where did she go?
She must find her. Only by finding her, maybe she could use her to make the ship head overseas.
Melody had only rested for half an hour, but images of Mrs. Tang were constantly in her mind, even in her dreams, waking her up repeatedly.
Melody lay on the big bed, dazing. Jared Quinn had left the cabin, presumably to handle other matters.
"Knock, knock," the cabin door was knocked.
Melody got out of bed, walked to the door, and opened it. No one was outside. Not far away, there was a birthday cake and lots of paper money, looking particularly eerie, like a funeral offering.
"Melody Thorne," a figure suddenly rushed out from the left.
Ivy, holding a dagger, charged at her.
Melody heard the noise and immediately pushed the door forward. Ivy was momentarily blocked but then rushed in. Melody bypassed the sofa and ran outside.
"Melody, you bitch!" Ivy chased after her.
Melody ran towards a secluded area, not wanting to attract attention from others on the ship at this time.
"Melody," Ivy pounced, grabbing hold of her clothes. Melody fell backward, lying on top of Ivy.
"Get off me, Melody!" Ivy tried to get up.
The two women tangled into a scuffle.
"Ma’am!" Harold Chapman and Jared Quinn arrived just in time.
"Don’t come any closer, don’t come any closer, or I’ll kill her!" Ivy screamed, pressing the dagger against Melody’s throat, pulling her back.
"Are you sure you’ll kill me and not the other way around?" Melody pressed back with her hand, holding the fake gun Jared gave her.
"Kill me? Fine! We can die together. I have nothing left now, just a worthless life. Do you think I’m afraid of death?" Ivy sneered coldly, pulling Melody back until they hit the ship’s railing. Behind them was the bottomless sea.
Melody knew Ivy was ruthless; she would absolutely do what she said.
She had nothing to lose, just like in her past life.
"Don’t make any reckless moves," Jared Quinn warned.
Ivy looked at Jared with the same old infatuation, but she knew she couldn’t escape today, so why not give him a big gift?
