President Jared of the Quinn Family started to feel some regret. Why hadn’t he noticed her before?

"Sir, it’s quite late. Should we have someone follow Madam? I’m worried something might happen," the butler spoke with concern.

"Send someone to follow her," Jared suddenly remembered that Melody Thorne disliked having his people follow her, "but don’t let her notice."

"Understood."

Jared glanced back at his bedroom, then stepped out of the Quinn Family home.

Melody Thorne drove all the way to the bar but didn’t hang up her phone. From it, she could intermittently hear Kiki Sutton’s voice.

"Melody, you know what? He’s the first man I ever liked. I really love him," Kiki was already drunk and slumped over the table.

Melody searched through the bar and finally found where Kiki was. She walked over to her, and, speaking into the phone, she said pointedly, "It’s quite possible that the man you love is currently having fun in bed with another woman."

Kiki: "..."

Melody walked over to the corner of the bar, sat down across from Kiki, and, seeing her drunken state, turned cold, "Stop drinking."

"I think calling you was the biggest mistake," Kiki said as she protected the drink in front of her. "You just keep hitting me while I’m down. Besides, you have everything, and I have nothing."

"Heh, I’m pretty much in the same boat as you now," Melody chuckled.

She always thought the Thorne Family was her home, but now it didn’t feel like it. She was more upset than anyone but had endured it without telling anyone.

It was because the Thorne Family made her feel homeless that she now noticed Timmy and Jared Quinn.

"Come on, let’s go home," Melody said, helping Kiki up.

"No way, I’m not going," Kiki slumped back down. "I want Mr. Yang to pick me up. Who knows, maybe we could hit it off."

Melody took away Kiki’s phone, "No man likes seeing a woman drunk. If he sees you in this state, he might just be turned off."

"Really?"

"I see," Kiki mumbled as her hand slipped, and the phone she had just snatched back fell to the ground.

While supporting Kiki with one hand, Melody bent down to pick it up, when suddenly a black leather shoe stepped on the phone. Melody looked up.

Felix Chandler lowered his gaze.

After Ivy got admitted to a psychiatric hospital, he went into hiding for a few days and just recently came back. But every time he thought about Ivy’s first time being with him, and now he couldn’t have her, Felix’s anger flared.

Even if a woman like Ivy stayed by his side as a mistress, it would be fine.

But he couldn’t even see Ivy’s face anymore, and it was all because of Melody Thorne.

So that day when he saw Finn Thorne on the street and had the opportunity, he just hit the kid with the car to vent his anger.

"What do you want?" Though drunk, Kiki instinctively stepped in front of Melody to protect her.

"Kiki," Felix’s gaze fell on her, with a hint of lechery. He reached out with a large hand to pull her closer, "I just happen to need a drinking companion today. How about you accompany me?"

"Get your filthy hands off," Melody spoke coldly, her eyes turning icy. Finn had told her that the person who hit him was Felix Chandler up ahead,

She hadn’t even had a chance to settle that score, and now he had walked right into her path.
