Eryke the Seventh was just perfect for Cultivation, not having the mana core nor any other powers except for the skills and titles, these things although helped him significantly but had no path forward to get more strength.

He also had the least risk when practising it, every other clone has already stabilised their own paths forward, the only one left was him.

Although it might sound cruel, Eryke the Seventh had no hesitation on being the lab rat. Barely able to beat the first guardian but this didn't count as technically having fallen into her trap in this red miasama now.

After all, once succeeded then his strength would definitely sore through the rankings of all the other clones.

He will also be able to escape his current predicament, being surrounded by red miasma and clinging to the last of his sanity wasn't exactly a pleasant scenario.

Sitting cross legged on the ground, taking deep breaths to calm the agitated nerves. According to the Nameless Cultivation Technique, Spiritual Qi was everywhere in our surroundings, just that one couldn't sense it because they didn't have the special sense of a Cultivator.

To sense spiritual Qi, one needed to gain spiritual roots and if one wanted to form spiritual roots, they needed their own blood as a material and would have to go through a set of strict rituals to be able to form the spiritual roots.

This was an extremely arduous and complex process, one that would have required the effort of countless spiritual medicines. But through the help of skills and titles that Eryke the Seventh possessed, there was still some possibility of him being able to form the spiritual roots and become a cultivator.

So without hesitation, he started the process, trying to manipulate the blood essence inside his body slowly and surely, forming dense knots. Just then his eyes suddenly snapped open, vomiting blood on the spot, littering the ground below.

Head spinning rapidly, vision blurring by the seconds.

"It hurts," muttering while clutching his heart.

Becoming a Cultivator using the Nameless Cultivation Technique was no easy task without any spiritual medicine.

Though he was still determined to try it again.

So Eryke the Seventh tried again and again, failing every time in the process of it.

"Again."

"Again."

"Again."

Finally, at his tenth try, blood essence immediately compacted and a root gradually formed inside his body.

Eryke the Seventh opened his eyes again to observe the thin mist surrounding him. His parched trembling:

"Is this Spiritual Qi?"

This mist was distinctly different from the red miasma that encapsulated him. Slowly but surely, the spiritual Qi was funneling into his body like a violent storm.

Nourishing him rapidly.

Allowing Eryke the Seventh to finally become a Cultivator now!

He raised his hand and clenched tightly, feeling the increase of his strength. It was extremely slow but definitely there.

"I have become a Qi-trainee right?"

The first step towards the goal of immortality, this realm was called as Qi-trainee.

Forming the Spiritual Roots alone was enough to enter this realm. Qi-trainee as the name state for the realm, it barely increased one's strength by nourishing the cultivators body and allowing them to use spiritual arts.

"Hmm, the Nameless Cultivation Technique also has complementary spiritual arts huh."

Touching his chin deep in thought.

The roots that had formed deep inside the body would have to be nourished by the surrounding Spiritual Qi to progress further.

The next realm would be entering the Qi-refining Realm, where one refines and strengthens their spiritual Qi.

Cultivation as the name states was like sowing the seeds which would eventually grow into a tall tree. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

A mischievous glint flashed through his eyes as he looked around him.

This red miasma.

He wasn't so helpless against it anymore.

Pushing himself against the ground, directly standing up and calmly pointing his palm forward, "I will warm you last time, if you don't give up then I will use everything I have against you."

"Haha, mortal, do you really think that you could escape me?"

A maddening, crazy voice sounded throughout the miasma, reverberating and echoing as if coming from every direction.

"Yes, I can," Eryke the Seventh firmly stated and took back his arms then started to walk ahead with nonchalance.

Now this thing no longer affected him anymore, becoming a cultivator now.

Not afraid of loosening his sanity, like a free and unfettered soul, walking around in nonchalance.

"Eh, why are you not affected?"

"Because I am strong," Eryke the Seventh casually stated.

Suddenly the expanded red miasma gathered like a violent storm coagulating only around him and he found himself instantly frozen in place.

"If you can even withstand this then I will be thoroughly impressed with you."

The pressure became insane and his consciousness itself started to whither again.

"Is that so?" Eryke the Seventh eyes shone with a bright light.

Now having become a Cultivator, it felt like his entire demeanour had completely changed. The Spiritual Qi inside his body spun rapidly in a certain pattern until a gradual veil covered him in its entirety.

The pressure washed away in the blink of an eye, no longer affecting him and his consciousness returned back to normal again.

"Wha… what? How could that be possible!?"

The voice sounded in completely disbelief.

"I am no longer a mortal, I am a…" Eryke the Seventh took casual strides and walked nonchalantly out from the red miasma, "Cultivator."

The red miasma tried to chase after him.

But now the spiritual Qi completely veiled his body and it was left utterly helpless to cover him.

"Ho."

Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, looking around the place again.

"I have to face six more like you right? If they are as weak as you then it will be easy, if not then I will have to just cultivate to get stronger before I fight them."

Walking and jumping through the patches of land nonchalantly. The red miasma still followed after him but couldn't contain him any longer!
