Chapter 225: Grey’s Rage!

Boom!

The earth trembled violently beneath their feet, a shockwave rippling through the air.

The fiery shield protecting the man began to crack and splinter under Grey’s relentless furious jump kick, his eyes wide with panic.

"No...!" the man screamed, bracing for the crushing blow.

But just as Grey was about to land the final strike, a shimmering metal barrier erupted between them, halting his advance mid-air.

With a powerful twist, Grey landed solidly on the ground and roared, "Who’s there?!"

His piercing blue eyes locked onto the mysterious figure before him, a woman cloaked in shadow, her silver hair cascading like moonlight, her gaze sharp and unreadable.

In her hand, a silver grimoire pulsed ominously, its power radiating from her like a living force.

Grey spun around and slammed two brutal punches into the metal shield.

Bang! Bang!

Veins bulged across his clenched fists as he gripped the shield tightly, muscles straining with immense force.

With a guttural roar that shook the very air, Grey began tearing the metal apart, ripping it bit by bit.

"Ahhh—!"

The sound of metal snapping echoed through the space as the shield gave way, revealing the terrified face of the man behind it.

"Die."

Without hesitation, Grey thrust his fist forward, aiming straight for the man’s face.

’What kind of monster is this guy?’ The man thought in horror.

Drenched in cold sweat, his heart pounded as he stared down the inevitability of his fate.

At that moment, a gentle but chilling voice echoed through the air:

"O steel that slumbers in silence, awakens and heeds my call!"

The silver-eyed woman’s quill flew swiftly over her grimoire’s pages. In an instant, hundreds of gleaming metal weapons shot forth, slicing through the air toward Grey’s advancing fist.

But Grey didn’t flinch. With ruthless determination, his fist drove forward, crashing into the man’s head with brutal force.

Swish!

Blood erupted like a fountain, painting the ground crimson as the man’s lifeless body crumpled to the floor.

At the same time, countless weapons surged forward, piercing Grey and driving him to the ground. Blood spurted violently as a guttural roar tore from his throat.

"You really killed him," the silver-eyed woman sighed, stepping closer to Grey, her brows furrowed with a mixture of concern and resolve.

"We mean no harm to her, but now she needs to return home."

"Return home? By kidnapping her?" Grey’s voice thundered, each word sharper than the last as he yanked the weapons from his body one by one, blood pouring freely from fresh wounds.

"Did you really just say that to me?"

Without hesitation, he lunged at the woman. "Lilith."

"On it." Lilith’s massive Grimoire form surged forward, distorting the air with raw power as she slammed into the silver-eyed woman before she could even react.

The silver woman’s quill pen slipped from her fingers, clattering onto the ground as she froze, stunned and vulnerable.

Seizing the moment, Grey used both his <Acceleration> and <Dash>, closing the distance in the blink of an eye.

His bloodshot eyes locked onto her face, blue veins pulsating fiercely beneath taut muscles primed to strike.

"You..."

Without hesitation, Grey’s hand shot out and grasped the back of her neck.

Before she could resist, her eyes fluttered shut and she collapsed, unconscious and fell to the ground with a thud.

Finally, Grey’s bloodshot eyes flickered and calmed for a brief moment as he turned toward Lilith, his voice low and hoarse.

"Tell me... is there anyone else besides her you can sense?"

"N-no," Lilith stammered, trembling under the weight of Grey’s barely contained bloodlust, as if at any moment he might turn on her too.

Without another word, Grey lifted the unconscious woman effortlessly and headed back toward the library in complete silence.

The streets, once bustling, fell deathly quiet at the sight: a man slain with a single punch, and a cloaked woman being carried solemnly.

Moments later, the silence shattered as shocked cries and murmurs erupted from the onlookers, their voices a chaotic chorus spreading like wildfire.

Unknown to everyone, an old man with a long white beard was silently staring at them, atop a nearby rooftop, his gaze fixed on Grey as he made his way back to the library.

"How strong is this brat? His body..." the old man murmured, narrowing his eyes in contemplation, "It reminds me of someone long gone, though that one has already returned to his own world."

A quiet sigh slipped from his lips as he turned away, voice heavy with wistfulness.

"Lucy, the princess of the Celestria Kingdom, She fled here to escape the endless battles among her siblings. For a long time, everyone left her be, deeming her too ordinary to matter. But now, with that brat rising to become the strongest here, how could they allow such power to rest in the hands of their dear younger sister?"

The old man’s eyes darkened as he fixed his gaze once more on Grey.

"I hope you grow strong quickly and end the Celestria Kingdom. It would be best for both of us."

Shaking his head, the old man’s figure dissolved into the wind, vanishing without a trace.

Grey stormed into the library, slamming the door shut with such force that the walls groaned, cracks spider webbing around it.

He unceremoniously threw the woman onto the floor, then strode to his bed.

Sitting cross-legged, he closed his eyes and spoke calmly to Lilith.

"I’ll reach High-tier Disciple. Until then, let no one enter."

"Understood." Lilith floated to the door, taking her place as a guardian.

Outside, the mature woman lingered, struggling to process the chaotic events.

’Should I stay here until he lets me in?’ she wondered, standing rigidly before the door, torn between hope and hesitation.

Just like that, Grey, seething with rage, slipped into a deep, silent meditation. Though his fury was repressed beneath the surface, it burned fiercely within.

Five whole days passed.

Then, with a sudden snap, his eyes flew open.

"I have reached High-Tier Disciple."

His gaze blazed with raw carnage and unyielding anger, a storm ready to unleash.
