My Seven Wives in One Body and Me, her Manager-Chapter 85: Round Three Final : Disappointing Ending
A few moments later, Kimberly returned to the spectator seats and immediately jumped onto Jason’s lap. Jason quickly wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Hey, why did you come back here, babe?" Jason asked.
"I stopped by the infirmary for a bit. Gary was already there, and Harumi was there watching over Brigitte, so I just came back here to watch Daisy’s match," Kimberly answered.
Rachel, Sofia, and Margaret, seeing Kimberly return, immediately turned their heads to look at her, leaning in close.
"Is Brigitte okay?" Rachel asked.
"She’s fine. She just fainted from exhaustion, and it’s the same with Olivia," Kimberly replied casually.
"Oh, thank goodness then. We were a bit anxious, though we were sure she’d be alright," Sofia said with relief.
"Really? You guys looked pretty relaxed to me," Kimberly replied, glancing at the three of them.
"We couldn’t move because we had to watch Harumi... but I have to admit, you’re amazing to be able to go toe-to-toe with her. Not many people can stand up to her, let alone match her like that," Margaret added.
"Thanks," Kimberly replied briefly.
"Take a look at the control room," Rachel said.
Dennis, Jason, and Kimberly turned to look at the control room. They saw Kamala staring in their direction with a calm expression, as if she were keeping a close eye on Rachel and the others sitting next to Dennis, Jason, and Kimberly.
"Hmm... so you guys can’t move and are sitting here because you’re being watched?" Dennis asked.
"That’s right. Ms. Kamala asked us to be friendly with you all, so sorry if it seems like we’re forcing ourselves to sit here," Rachel answered.
"Ah... so that’s how it is. Alright, we understand," Jason replied.
"You guys are pretty famous, actually. The video showing you at the train tracks really impressed our entire school," Sofia added.
"I didn’t even know that video existed... I mean, Mr. Steve did congratulate us once, but I thought at the time he’d been notified by the hunter guild or the train authorities," Dennis muttered.
"Same, at first I thought the same thing," Kimberly said.
"One of our classmates actually showed it to me once, but at the time, I just thought it was no big deal and never discussed it again," Jason added.
"Oh, was it Andrew who showed us that video? I wondered what video it was and figured it was just some regular hunter biography, so I didn’t really pay attention," Kimberly asked.
"Yep, exactly," Jason answered.
"Oh... I had no idea. Makes sense, though—I never talk to anyone in class," Dennis muttered.
"Hey... the match is about to start," Rika interrupted.
Everyone immediately turned their heads to look at the center of the arena, including Dennis. Daisy could be seen gripping the hilt of her katana, while Natasha held the handle of the gunsword on her back; they were already standing face-to-face in the middle of the arena with the referee between them.

Meanwhile, in the center of the arena, Daisy smiled, her sharp gaze fixed on Natasha as if she wanted to swallow the woman standing before her whole. Natasha smiled back, staring at Daisy as if she were ready to bury her gunsword deep into Daisy’s body. The atmosphere in the middle of the arena felt so tense that it could be felt by the spectators and the referee standing between them.
"Honey, don’t overdo it, okay," Dennis muttered inside Daisy’s head.
"Relax, I’ll finish this match as quickly as possible," Daisy numbers one through seven answered in unison.
"Wait, why are there so many of you answering?" Dennis asked, confused.
"Hehe... we’re in sync, aren’t we," Daisy numbers one through seven answered together, their voices overlapping in Dennis’s head. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
"Okay... okay, just don’t go overboard and don’t kill your opponent," Dennis replied, resigned.
"Hmm... depends on her attitude," Daisy number six answered.
"Don’t... or I’ll be angry," Dennis replied, his voice a bit firm.
Daisy turned to look toward the spectator seats and saw Dennis standing in front of his chair, looking at her with a worried face. Finally, Daisy’s face, which was originally tense, relaxed and began to show a hint of fear. Daisy let out a sigh and turned back to look at Natasha, who appeared a bit smug in front of her.
"Alright, don’t be mad, honey, my husband, love, sugar, hon, baby, dear," Daisy numbers one through seven said together, each using a different pet name for Dennis.
"Yeah, I don’t want to be mad at you guys, so please," Dennis replied back.
Daisy looked back at Dennis, who sat down and gave her a thumbs-up with a smile on his face. But suddenly, "clang," Daisy drew her sword to parry an attack from Natasha’s gunsword; it turned out the match had already started, and Daisy hadn’t noticed because she was talking to Dennis.
"Hey... get serious, your husband is at stake here... I’m going to show your husband that I’m better than—"
"Thud."
Before Natasha could even finish her sentence, with lightning speed, Daisy switched to Daisy number four and teleported behind Natasha, striking the back of Natasha’s neck with the hilt of her katana in an instant, then returned to her original position before Natasha even hit the ground. "Thud," "clang," the blue-yellowish energy shrouding Natasha’s body immediately dimmed, and she fell face-down in the center of the arena along with her weapon, no longer moving.
The arena fell dead silent. Nearly every spectator, especially the Willow High supporters, stood stunned with their mouths agape. It was the same for the Red Wind students and those from other schools; even the hunters still watching were left speechless. Daisy glanced up and saw the clock still had 00:09:30 remaining, then she looked over at Dennis, who was covering his face and shaking his head.
"It’s all over, honey," Daisy said happily in her head.
"Sigh... that was way too fast... but whatever, I just hope it still counts as a win, though it looks like the referee is still spaced out over there," Dennis replied in his head using telepathy.
Daisy turned to look at the referee, who seemed completely dazed, his head turning back and forth between her and Natasha lying on the arena floor; his jaw had visibly dropped and his eyes were wide with shock. After a few moments, the referee finally stood up and approached Natasha, then crouched down beside her to check her condition.
After finishing the inspection, the referee turned to look at Daisy, who was still standing in her original spot; then he stood up and turned to look back toward the control room deck. Not long after, several staff members came down and onto the arena floor to discuss things with the referee, including some medical staff, Steve, and Kamala, who immediately checked on Natasha’s condition. Dennis saw Rachel, Sofia, and Margaret stand up and then run down to join the others in the arena.
"See... it’s becoming a problem," Dennis muttered in his head.
"Sorry... I shouldn’t have been that fast, don’t be mad, honey," Daisy murmured back through telepathy, her face showing signs of deep regret.
"It’s already happened, so it’s fine, I’m not mad at all. The point is you did your best, and I’m proud of you," Dennis replied in his head, smiling and giving a thumbs-up as he watched his wife from a distance.
"I love you too," Dennis replied with a smile. "Huff... thank goodness nothing happened, Natasha just fainted... at least a bloody battle didn’t break out down there," Dennis said in his heart while looking toward the arena and gazing at Daisy and the surroundings.
Rachel, Sofia, and Margaret were seen in the middle of the arena, approaching Natasha, along with Daisy, who appeared to be pretending to be anxious. Not long after, the discussion concluded; Natasha was considered to have fainted, perhaps because she wasn’t fit or was too eager and used too much of her power.
Kamala asked Rachel, Sofia, and Margaret if they wanted to replace Natasha, but they no longer had any intention of continuing the match. Finally, Daisy was declared the winner, yet there were no cheers, and the atmosphere of the entire arena remained silent.
The spectators’ faces were filled with deep disappointment, especially the supporters from Willow High. The core team from Red Wind was the first to leave their seats and head down, followed by students from other schools, and finally the Willow supporters.
The tournament came to an end with Emerald Military Academy as the winner, but it concluded in total silence without a single sound because the match was considered disappointing and no one stepped up to replace Natasha against Daisy.
When Daisy turned and walked toward the exit, Rachel and the others approached her and placed their hands on her shoulders.
"Okay, you win. The reason the rest of us turned it down is because I saw what you did. You really are in a samurai class of your own, and with those skills of yours, it’s obvious that the rest of us would have lost too," said Rachel, who had faintly caught Daisy’s movement but hadn’t noticed her switching into Daisy number four due to her disguise.
"Yeah, you moved so fast when you hit Natasha... I’m honestly in awe," Sofia added.
"That’s how it is, so we have no problem with you being the winner, and I’ll make sure Natasha won’t be coming after your husband anymore," Margaret said.
"So... can we be friends?" Rachel asked.
"Okay... we’re all friends now," Daisy answered with a relaxed smile.
Dennis, feeling relieved that everything ended well, just leaned back in his chair, his body going limp from the tension. He turned to see Jason, Kimberly, Rika, and Elisa still stunned, looking like they were still trying to process what had just happened.
