The next morning, as they walked to school, Dennis glanced at the Daisy walking beside him, holding his hand. He noticed she was wearing his watch and had her hair in a braid. Dennis then recalled Daisy’s explanation from the night before, where she briefed him on how they took turns and could be distinguished by their different hairstyles. Sensing his gaze, Daisy number two turned to look at Dennis and smiled, squeezing his hand tightly.

"What is it, my husband?" Daisy number two asked.

"Ah, that’s right, you call me that. It’s fine, it’s just that this is our first time going to school together, even though you’re in the same body every day," Dennis replied.

"Yep, that’s true, my husband, and I am truly very happy. Today, for the whole day, you belong to me," Daisy number two said.

"That watch really works, doesn’t it? It’s incredible and hard to believe," Dennis said, pointing to the watch on Daisy number two’s wrist, which featured a yellowish-green crystal with a fairly long rune.

"It matches yours," Daisy number two said, pressing her watch against Dennis’s—her partner’s.

"Hmm, yeah it does. Come on, let’s pick up the pace so we aren’t late," Dennis suggested.

"Alright, my husband," Daisy number two replied.

They continued walking along the path from the gate toward the main school building. All along the way, Daisy number two seemed cheerful, but suddenly, "Kyaaa... a monster!" a scream erupted from beside them. Both of them turned, their eyes widening instantly. In the field at the front of the school, which was usually used for parking, a crack had opened like a portal.

Several crawlers were scurrying out, and behind them appeared a monster resembling a centipede that stood half-upright like a human. It had four spiked arms, an elongated head that sloped back like an alien’s, and its entire body was covered in a hard-looking, thorny shell. It was about three times the size of a normal crawler.

"A monster... what is that?" asked Dennis, who had never seen such a strange and powerful-looking creature.

"A Tusk Crawler. It can fire spikes from its body and fight at close range. A real nuisance," Daisy number two answered.

"Alright, let’s go, move fast," Dennis urged, grabbing Daisy’s arm.

But he felt something wet on her arm, and when he looked at his hand, he was scared half to death. His hand was covered in blood. It turned out Daisy’s wrist had split open, and thick blood was emerging, forming a pistol in her hand with a handle made of blood-chains that led back into the wound on her wrist.

"Wait... what are you doing?" Dennis asked.

"Just a moment, my husband," Daisy answered.

Suddenly, Daisy vanished from Dennis’s side and appeared over the field in a flash. "Blam... blam... blam!" She immediately fired hundreds of blood-laser shots from above using two pistols in her left and right hands. "Kieeeeeek!" The emerging crawlers died instantly, as did the Tusk Crawler that seemed to be their leader. After that, Daisy shot the black hole itself, and a massive explosion echoed as the crack in the air vanished. Dennis gasped at the sight, but suddenly felt Daisy sitting on his shoulders.

When Dennis turned his head, he saw Daisy looking back at him. Her red eyes returned to normal, and then she hopped down and immediately grabbed Dennis’s arm. "Chomp." She instantly refilled her blood using her husband’s, and of course, Dennis let her—he even carried her princess-style as they walked into the school building.

Dennis looked around; many students who had been bracing for a fight looked confused as the monsters vanished, and several teachers coming out also seemed to have no clue what had happened. What Daisy number two did was so fast it was invisible to everyone except Dennis. He glanced down at Daisy number two in his arms, who was busy sucking on his arm.

"She’s incredible... a total cheat character," Dennis muttered to himself.

Suddenly, "vwoooong," his status interface popped open. He immediately read the new stats displayed on the screen.

"Whoa... up two levels from all that monsters, and I didn’t even do anything... thanks, my wife," Dennis muttered to himself while glancing back at Daisy, who was still sucking on his arm but smiling up at him.

Dennis kissed Daisy’s forehead while shifting her weight a bit higher as a way of saying thanks, even though Daisy just looked back at him in confusion. Then, he navigated around the crowds to head into the school building. Dennis went toward Daisy’s classroom first, but she refused to go in, pointing instead toward the infirmary. Finally, Dennis made his way to the infirmary and opened the door.

"Excuse me," Dennis called out.

There was no answer from inside. He eventually stepped in and kicked the door shut with his foot, then laid Daisy number two down on a bed and pulled the curtain shut. As he sat on the edge of the bed, Daisy immediately grabbed his arm and started sucking again.

Out of curiosity, he used his skill to check Daisy number two’s status. It turned out the attack she just pulled off used [Blood: 9490 / 9999], and now she was draining Dennis’s blood to restore it to full.

Watching her status gain one point of blood with every single gulp, Dennis suddenly realized something that made his face turn pale instantly.

"Wait a second... if she uses up all her blood and tries to refill it completely... she’s going to suck me dry, isn’t she? I could actually die," Dennis wondered to himself while glancing at Daisy, who was hugging his arm and drinking his blood with a look on her face like she was half-asleep.

Finally, Daisy fell into a deep sleep, still hugging Dennis’s arm. Dennis immediately cleaned the blood from her mouth with a tissue so it wouldn’t be a mess and no one would notice it. Suddenly—"sraag"—Dennis turned to see Nicole pulling back the curtain. She looked completely disheveled, clearly having just arrived since she was still wearing a jacket over her nurse’s uniform.

"Oh... you’re here again... what’s wrong with your wife?" Nicole asked.

"Nothing’s wrong, she’s just short on sleep. Let her rest for a bit, okay, Mrs. Nicole? Wait... you recognize me?" Dennis replied.

"Of course I recognize you. I’ve seen you plenty of times since you changed. And what’s that blood?" Nicole asked, pointing to the blood-soaked tissue in Dennis’s hand.

"Oh... this is my blood," Dennis muttered, quickly hiding the tissue behind his back.

Then Nicole looked at the bed. She saw blood trickling down Daisy’s thigh and onto the white sheets. Nicole lifted Daisy’s skirt and immediately shook her head, then turned to look at Dennis.

"Hey... what is wrong with you? Your wife is on her period. Hurry up and go buy some pads. I’ll give her one of mine for now. Buy the kind she usually uses, something she can wear for her daily activities," Nicole said.

"Huh... she’s... on her period?" Dennis asked, confused.

"Yes, you don’t clean up a period with a tissue. Now get to the convenience store real quick, buy some pads, and bring them back here. Just let her sleep here for now," Nicole answered.

"Alright, ma’am, be right back," Dennis replied, standing up.

Dennis walked out of the infirmary, then took one last look at sleeping Daisy’s status. It turned out that even without sucking his blood, her blood level was still rising, though slowly.

"Oh... so she’s sucking my blood because she’s on her period... I’m getting really confused here... whatever, as long as she’s okay. Let’s move," Dennis muttered to himself.

Dennis opened the door and walked out toward the school exit to head to the convenience store across the street. He was planning to buy period supplies for his wife, but when he entered the store and reached the feminine hygiene aisle, he stood there frozen. He stared at products he was seeing for the first time in his entire life and, of course, was completely confused, wondering if what he was looking at was even the right thing.

"Wait a second, what do pads even look like? Which kind does Daisy usually use? Man... I have absolutely no clue. If I ask, it’s going to be so embarrassing... ugh... I should have asked for an explanation first instead of just rushing out... should I go back inside? Dammit, what do I do," Dennis muttered to himself, feeling confused and not knowing at all what he was supposed to buy. Finally, he took out his smartphone and sent a message to Daisy, hoping she would reply.
